Take it from a reading fan who has picked up fm for the first time in 15 years. For reading you don’t need to buy or sell anyone to get reading promoted. I’m trying to perfect the translation to the premier league atm, I’ve done 8 saves now and the relegation realease clauses hold you back after you get relegated from the premier league. I’ve managed 1 save where I’m a regular champions league team but the revenue the club generates holds you back in terms of wages to make you a truly dominant premier league team.
In my opinion definitely hire the staff yourself! Why let Technical manager "improve your staff over time" when you can do it yourself in 15 minutes. Technical director is only good for sending staff to couching courses.
maybe not for the smaller clubs but for bigger clubs, you should focus on your A team rather than youngsters. That's why letting the game to choose staffs should be perfect. If you have large budget it would be definetly better
Staff is 100% my duty. If i do it i have definetly the best staff that is available to the club right now. TDs are genuinely .... unsmart and do alot a bad decisions. I don't even let then renew contracts because even with the best stats (20s all around) they are filled to the brim with clauses, a salary way higher than what I could do and sometimes he doesnt even offer 5 years. The signings are all over the place. Its bad. Its quite literally the first thing i do every save, followed by putting a team meeting into every week.
TD are just bad in this game. I'm in my 10th season, TD with 20s in crucial stats, yet when it comes to hiring staff for my u20's or u18's he goes for no names with 9s and 10s in coaching stats. I can easily find twice better coaches with better tactical fit within 10 mins...
I'd say you need to get to know your personalities too- Reading have Yiadom as a team leader, which is perfect as he's a Model Citizen. If you don't have string personalities as leaders or highly influential players, get some. One of the biggest difference makers and one of the least recognised.
I'm 50 and i downloaded the demo of this game from Windows app the other day. I used to play the old CM games and I'm finding this to be way beyond my capabilities to understand. Is it worth me sticking with it or am i wasting my time if i haven't kept up with the series? I'm not a gamer really and this one blows my mind with how deep it is! 👍
I’m a bit younger and started in FM21 it’s quite a lot to digest at first so I went to staff > responsibilities and delegated everything apart from transfers and team selection, as I understood tactics and transfers I gradually took over more things in the game, so not doing everything at the very start is helpful now I can do most things in the game with good understanding UA-cam videos helps with areas your not sure on
@@Ben09-06 thank you, that was very helpful. I'm finding it overwhelming but am quite enjoying the stripped down mobile version. I might give your idea a go and see how I get on, cheers mate 👍
@@OffGridMadMan I used to play CM 01/02 before recently switching to FM23. Like you was a disaster to start with getting fired within the demo! Recommend starting with a good team in a league you know well to gain some confidence and learn the game. The footprint of CM is still there.
I was hoping for more info on hiring staff. I normally play lower leagues and thus have limited resources when it comes to staffing. Do you have a hierarchy of roles based on league level and financial state?
Low league is all about money. Not staff or facilities, at least in the short term. So do not fire anybody(save money), just fill the vacant spots, with pepole with good personalities/high determination. These traits rub of on the players trough training :)
What is the best way to embed new players in Ur team as I find if I start too many new people I loose no matter if my team is better can someone give me advice plz
New players always take time to gel and acclimatise to the team. Make sure you have at least one Team Bonding session per week in your training schedule. Will still take some time, but much less than if you don't have it. Try and make sure you only sign new players right at the start of the main pre-season window so they can play in friendly matches to help them get integrated.

I agree. On my last save my technical director employed 3 assistant managers for my 1st team. Never seen that before.
I only use him to renew my staffs contracts

One of the best videos that you should stick to every new one save, good job man!!!

@@FMPercy thank you, I'm gonna stick with it and see how it goes. I'm using my team Birmingham City which probably ain't helping 😅

Sal-us-bry,? They're English, lad!
Good effort, keep it up.
When is a match a "big" match, cuz my keeper cant save shit in a for me "big" game. It was against a top 3 club in the competition
Man, thanks a ton!!
Which skin are you use? Thanks
How do you get all the badges, faces and kits please on PC?
Create recruitment focus is disabled in my new team (Torque United). Stuck at 7:02. No clue how to enable this
You have to choose tactic first I think. I had the same problem. 🙂

Get newcomers in the first team as much as possible. Match review after each game in training and add in plenty of team bonding as mentioned above. GL
Which skin is this please?
Staff search- hire all the best Youth development as coaches- then this
