18:02 Ichsan is such a troll man. "If you concede 3 but score 4, you still win the game" is a meme in Indonesia from a local pundit here. Love that he somehow managed to squeeze that answer in.
I put Barnsley, from league 1, into the Premier league. Didn't make any transfers or anything so it was still a league 1 side. They finished 18th, by a point. While using this tactic. I think that shows how insane it is

I got back into FM after a many year break about a month ago. Watched a whole bunch of your videos, but this is the first one that I have hit the thumbs up on. The understanding of how he wants the whole team to act and making sure that every part of the team is working towards that goal engine was brilliant. I will be going through my 4-2-4/4-3-3 asymmetric tactic with a fine toothed comb to see what I can do to fine tune it based on this knowledge.
About "one year playing experience" is true, he talked about it in of podcast, ikhsan start plaing FM last year just because it came as a bonus from his apple arcade subscription, start from FM touch and work his way to FM PC. The one that has much experience is Danar (the assistant) who played it since CM era
I'm Indonesian and I watch his stream explaining his tactics with videos while in final match... And I surprised how deep he thinking about his strategies. (bpd with dribble more, fb stay wide cut inside, etc). In the world cup I also confident that Indonesian will win the cup because in the term of FM Draft, here (Indonesia FM Draft League) is more-more harder than the world tournament)
it has the flaws, put vinicius or mbappe a like at flanks , go low block or mid block, put tony kroos alike in AM or MC , play direct pass, cross early, had 2 BWM to kill their dribbling at flanks, stop their cross
Additional IMPORTANT strategies for this tactic 1.) Get rid of bad and mid staffs ASAP. a little money sacrifices (termination and higher wage) but u wanna prioritize the best medic staff at least because of the tactic intensity 2.) GOOD ROTATION STRATEGY, is needed. That is the one lacking if we play simulate matches because the AI is stupid when it comes to player rotation. Always doing full rotation in domestic cup, with academy player sitting on the bench, so the main team can be fully rested for next weekend. This is also the reason that's quite hard to win domestic cup at the beginning of the saves, like Ichsan did with Sporting 3) Use individual training to maximize player's familiarity of his role, prioritize that over attributes development. Eventually if your player playing good week in week out, because of maximum tactical familiarity, he will happy and still develop the ability anyway
17:45 Actually the one who has played for 20 years is his assistant. Ichsan is legit just started playing for a year. And Ichsan beat his assistant in the national championship.
I'm fully invested in this video. This one tactic helped me completely destroy the French Ligue with AS Monaco. I know this because I created a tactic that was supposed to fit my Monaco team and they struggled to win games, but BOOM, this tactic that doesn't fit the Monaco team somehow wins every game with the Monaco team. It's insane.🤣
Actually i think i remember something about opposition instructions either lichsan or the assistant said it directly from an interview, they change it frequently and adjust to the opponent flow. It make a huge difference when the match start. that's why ichsan said in the last part KNOWLEDGE is the key.
Can you still watch it somewhere ? And guessing the video aint in english? Would love to watch it otherwise. This guy made me think of stuff that seems so logical yet I never even considered it, I love it
@@p0lter7 Yes, i guess this was the video, around the 56 minutes mark. ua-cam.com/video/oLFNE1bTKGw/v-deo.htmlsi=HP02G-k1PsBwwZ8k he didnt really explain it in depth, but he does say that, he identified that the Germans tactics on the Grandfinal, was a 3 centre strikers attack, utilizing wingbacks to feed them. He effectively shutdown the flanks, and the tactics crumbled.
18:02 is an ancient proverb that was created by Indonesia-Dutch football coach from the year 1885, his name was Justinus Lhaksana "lu kegolan 3 goal tapi balas 4 goal, you still win the game" coaches with good knowledge and tactician master class follow this teaching proverb.
this is my FM problem. i play the game for 24 years (since championship manager 00/01) but something i never had much patience was tactics. I use the formation a lot, usually with a ball playing midfielder and a advanced playmaker in the middle, usually controlling the ball or tiki taka. But I focus mostly on finding wonderkids and have very good prospects from all over the world, where i take my time to develop them and make the team stronger. I love finding good players from unlikely countries, I spend hours checking national teams and other clubs. Also even in the attributes I don't care that much besides 4 or 5, I tend to see the stars and mostly the scout feedback. So I can see myself winning the premier league with wolves in like 3 seasons. Only once at stoke I managed to win the premier league in the first season, pretty much with the players the team had. My focus has been mostly developing small clubs all over europe, instead of being a tactic pro which I definitely should have trained. Probably one day I'll try to win a premier league with a smaller club again, I still to this day don't know how I done it with stoke, and it was fm 09/10 or something. How on earth this guy has been playing the game for so little.... I mean I never played an fm version since 21, which is the one I play now. The adaptation of the tactics to the attributes of each player was very smart.
Very cool! One thing I realized is that its very similar to the Katana 4-2-3-1 ATT on which u already did a video when u covered the best tactics in FM
Tried his tactic, it's insane how effective it is. Maybe the timing is good or maybe I got the right players. My current Save is Fulham in 2035, Haaland era is about to come to an end, this tactic helped me dominate Prem with ease, xG rate is skyrocketing and my forwards scoring goal for fun. What I notice is how effective this tactic is utilizing the FBs, they created assist a lot more than usual.
From the podcast he did in Indonesia, i think he actually started playing in FM2023, while the assman actually the one play longer (FM08 if i'm not mistaken)
13 minutes in, and it’s clear why you’re the top Football Manager content creator. This video on tactics is miles ahead of the creators you reacted to in your last video. The script, editing, cutaways, and your voiceover - all top-tier work.
I think this highlights why a full rework of tactics is necessary. It doesn't make sense that tackle harder and having max intensity tactics is the standard to win. The penalty for these is not high enough. they should be used only in certain scenarios, and with very high risk. Also when you mentioned the width on defending as "narrow" that's not correct, the narrow option is on the "in possession" tab, should not affect your defending. I really don't think there should be so many individual instructions, it only makes the game engine more complicated and easier to break/overpower. The player role and the team tactics should be more than enough.
ermm, just FYI, "Tackle Harder" has been the winning formula since ... CM99? 😅 I mean, I stopped at FM06, restarted at FM20 (and only because it's free), and I "Tackled Harder" again. Still works. 😅 FM has always been about figuring out/breaking the game engine eventually. Because, at the end of the day, it's still just a simulation game.
Agree about tackle harder. I was part of a bug report first flagged in 2022 and it is still running, it was clear that the game didn't distribute yellow cards as it should in that I could play with stay on feet and the AI would kick chunks out of me and Id get more yellows. Opponents could accumulate over 30 fouls to my 8 and the yellow card distribution would be even, and at times Id have more, quite frequently the opponent would have none. We know SI balance the game so things like number of cards (and other things) mirror real life statistics and it was clear that distribution of yellow cards was unrealistic and not down to what happened in game but was balanced as per the numbers they feel are realistic. Of course despite a lot of evidence including our own card counts not rising when we used aggressive tackling this was said not to be an issue. So yes it needs a rework as currently as you have mentioned, Ive seen and the guy here said there is no downside to using them.
It's correct that the narrow instruction is in possession, but your team won't lose much shape in transition after losing the ball since they are inviting crosses and already was playing narrow.
Thanks for doing this Zealand. I have seen other coverage of Ichsan's tactic, but you provided his insight, combined with your own observations- which are all immensely helpful. I am definately going to tinker with this in my long running save.
This is a superb video, with the knowledge dropped, the co-op with the reigning FM world champion, the great presentation, especially the animations and editing. Well done Zealand and team! Ichsan!
His tactic looks a lot like Ten Hag his tactic at Ajax, especially compared to how it was remade by this swedish guy for football manager 2019. It had the two ballplaying defenders, Blind and De Ligt behind Lasse Schone (playing in defensive midfield) and Frenkie de Jong. It also reminds me a bit of a remake of a Pellagrini tactic for Football manager 2014. That was a 4-4-2 also based around what the tactic maker described as "interiores" as used in South America a lot. In that tactic one of the two inside forwards was an advanced playmaker that would tuck in and roam around. Upfront there was a Trequarista and a Complete Forward but I often found that a target forward would also work well (maybe to hold the ball)
Came here to say this. Realistically no one was gonna win this tournament without using a tactic like this. It's kinda what makes multiplayer FM less exciting than other games in multiplayer.
I've always regarded determination as a priority. I feel like if you have more highly determined players, you'll be that team that finds a way to score that 9oth min winner more often than not.
I don't (prioritized High Det players), but I also believe this is correct. I guess my thinking is if I managed to get 20+ world-class PROFESSIONAL-minimum players, trained them up and then whacked teams silly 3-0, in the end it doesn't matter if they have 5+ Determination more than me and score a consolation goal.
Yo Zealand, thanks for doing this video, you've just rekindled my waning enthusiasm for FM. I've been playing for 30 years and never used or downloaded another players tactics, but after watching the video, I thought why not, never seen or tried anything like that, so I am and I don't even mind losing a game or two. Actually that last bit is wrong I hate it when I lose.
Hey Zealand, thanks for the video! It helps understand plenty of things and see those with other perspective. I have a suggestion, a follow up a video looking at players stats and qualities for each position. What to look for. I will be super interested in that! Thanks again. If that already exist, what to look for on each position can you point me in the right direction?
@zealand bro you should ask this guy about the tactic also, he's the assistant manager to ikhsan during the world cup. He's the 'veteran' to partner with the 'wonderkid' hahaha Love your vids from indonesia since 2021!
Rotate sensibly and create a tactic where you can rest on the ball when you're 2 or 3 goals up... I took Reading from League One to the Europa League in THREE seasons signing only 7 players. Best tactic I've seen.
This is legit Finalshot AKUTAC which was uploaded 3 months before WC happened. God of chaos was uploaded 6 days after wc ended, its 99% the same besides 2 instructions and author claims its not copied or inspired by the wc one, just 4-2-3-1 are usually "too similar" 🙄
Well.... Playing fm17 as AC Milan, 3rd season, finally top by 1 point, playing a solid 4231, AF, attacking FB, inside forwards on support.... Added all these bits to the tactic and I've blown away some teams. Won the league and cup, UCL tbc. It's good!
I don't care King INDO 🇮🇩 has won the fM championship, what matters to me is that Malaysia managed to hold South Korea to a draw (🇱🇷 3 - 3 🇰🇷) in the 2023 AFC Cup. This moment will stay with me forever, and I will share it with future generations." #TOGETHERforever 🇧🇩❤️🇲🇾❤️🇮🇳
I've been using a variation of this with many of the same principles using a 4-2-2-2 with 2 attacking midfielders and two strikers instead of the 2 wingers. It has been working like a charm. I added in a couple things from the video and its working even better.
Wild, I tried to combine the best overall tactic from fm-arena with the best 4-2-4 and ended up with basically exactly Ichsan's get a goal tactic after five seasons of trial and error.
It's very similar to the 4-3-3 Terzic by a guy who makes a lot of tactics, slightly modified instructions but every player position and role is identical.
Taufiq tactic I think is the most common tactic we used in Indonesia, especially to mark the defender when losing ball, tackle harder, get stuck in and double ball playing defender, it just broken tactic since fm19, the only way to get pass around it is, to play the same way as it is, so yeah it will always ended up with bigger score like 5-4, 4-3, 7-6.
I had a similar tactic in my England L20 to Prem save this year. Everyone was "tackle harder". I got something silly like 180 yellow cards but stayed up with a payroll of 70k p/w
I had only ever played manager career mode in FIFA. FIFA 11 through EA FC 24. And then I discovered FM 2 months back. Started my first save on 24th Sept. So about 50 days in, my save says I have spent 15days into it (30%). I can't just stop playing FM. I now regret playing Fifa for all those years. Another huge percentage of time has gone watching Zealand's videos. Tried this tactic out in my first save with Colchester in L2 and it is a beast. The intensity was too much for my players and i was littered with injured players. So I modified it from GenGen to a Possession based tactic, then made some tweaks to reduce the intensity and also removed all those take more risk settings. I managed to top L2, then L1, and now 10 games in championship, i am at the top. My wage budget is the bottom in the league at 190k/w (after converting all the transfer budget to wages and thriving of free agents). Everton at the other end of the spectrum is spending 2.5M/w 😂. My only regret has been delegating some of the contract negotiations to a high negotiation stat staff. They ended up agreeing to a 25% promotion wage rise clause for many players which has come back to bite me with every promotion. Now I do all negotiations myself.
Am Indonesian, been following you for years… This is a good fresh of air… Knowing our fellow country man won the world champ of my most favorite game. Congrats Iksan ma man!!
This tactic is OP. I downloaded maybe a week ago and literally you will absolutely wreck everyone in your league with only a decent team. Especially lower leagues. You will kill everyone in the lower leagues lol. For an example, I did a youth only save in wales, dropped all my players after the first season, and started my way in the JD premier with just the YA. We came mid table despite being "up against it" every single match... it is OP. My 6 CA striker was doing very well when he had no business doing so. Another example, Started in Gibraltar with awful Europa point FC. Ran the league and only lost twice..and those were the last 2 games after I already clinched the league title. I was losing players along the way and not replacing them and still doing well. It kinda makes things a bit too easy.
Thank you for this, I have like 7 or 8 different tac-tics and still adding more and more about it, but I have similar to what he has right now and I defeated Dortmund 3-0, Leverkusen 2-1 ( could have been more ) and Frankfurt 3-1, but got smashed by Leipzig 8-1, Hoffenhaim 2-1 ( They are last or one up from last ) and a couple more lower table clubs... As the Robin Freaking Hood of FM... Knowladge and have fun :D
Funnily enough the closest team to this tactic is can think of in the premier league is slots liverpool. A lot of similarities honestly and they have had an incredible start.
Back in FM20 (my first one) i downloaded a random tactic somewhere. Over the years i have constantly used it and always adapted it a bit more to my needs/likings- year by year. I am shocked how similar this tactic turned out with Saint Ichsan`s creation. It always felt kind of op. My only notable differences are: Second Striker (DLF) instead of the regular AF One DLP on Support instead of DM on Support My IF's dont have markings on the enemy fullbacks
Damn, I have a similar story to share ... playing CM since 1997 (Blackburn guy here), stopped at FM06, came back at FM20 (because it's free). Preferred to make my own Tactics all the time, but somehow came up with very similar conclusions with the WC winner. Shared a few within comments here, but guess I can summarise here too, my insights from decades of playing - *. 4231 has become the meta since FM20. I designed my own 4411 (because of a 1998 UEFA technical report, and then later what Sir Alex Ferguson said), but it's a 4231 when attacking anyway. *shrugs ... In defence, I would have 9 men behind. 1. Tackle Harder worked since CM99. More yellows and the occasional red is fine when you ended up winning at the end of the season. 2. Go Attacking from the start. Go High Intensity too. If you are the weaker team (esp Away), still do this for the first ~15-20 minutes. Unless they have CR7 or Messi at their prime, you basically have a blow to blow fight because the opposition didnt expect attacks from an inferior opponent. If you scored 1 or even 2, close shop (and stay Cautious for counter-attacks) and lower Intensity and Time Wasting. And KEEP THE OTHER INSTRUCTIONS. 3. If you just want to win and forgo style, Playing for Set Pieces is the way to go. When my team got stronger, I off-ed this though. 4. Two BPDefenders are fine for me in FM20. It does depend on the attributes of the player, so that we dont choose the wrong player role combination too. 5. Run at Defenders all the way please. It might be a FM20 thingy, but I noted that the Dribbling attribute tend to be damn high for ... almost everyone. Given that we go for Pace-y players all the time, this is just a deadly combo. You got past your marker, you got lots of space. My other instructions are different, but that is simply my preferences. Yes, I guess I figured out much of the meta, but I just want to play my own way and win, even if it's against the meta. Basically, I Play Through the Middle, Attacking Slightly Narrow despite having wingers (of which the game engine would make the WBs occupy the wide spaces like everyone else does). And, oh, I made my Home pitch Narrow too. LOL~! Finally, I have an old-school Low Press instead, which funnily made the team a defensive one inviting pressure by default. A defensive team which scores 100+ goals a season. And remember, I did this by going AGAINST the meta. 😅
The attempt with the Wolves reminded me of the only reason I play this. Challenge 1: win La Liga with Valencia, updated with the 2024-25 squad, in the first season without signing any players. Challenge 2: Win the Champions in the second season with a positive balance in signings.
Balls. Also would be nice to have some of the others from the world cup come over (such as germany, england and such) and review their tactic and may be compare it to iksan's tactic
One of cons applying this tactic is that it has low ball possession %. For those who love ball possession dominance, this tactic is not for you. But for those who enjoys winning, this is your go to tactic.
btw I just got promoted to the Premier League with mighty Oxford United after only two seasons. I was like:"Help! I'll be slaughtered". I'm giving this tactic a go though. I put my whole summer window in the service of this tactic. The players are going to have to train until they puke to pull it off but I've already beaten two Premier League teams. I'm going to try to play Coady in defensive midfield in case Brannagan doesn't work out or needs a rest. Wish me luck and thanks for the video.
Hallelujah !! Off course that players, them selves , by their characteristics and especially their Traits will determine how they act on the pitch, Regardless of the role they play. To the certain extent , naturally. If you play a striker as DC he will not bomb forward and act as a striker. But in the midfield , it's different kind of the story. For example ; In my favorite 442 2dm wide tactics ( algorithm of the game baptized the tactics that way ) I play with two wide playmakers ( MR and ML ) , Half Back and Segundo Volante/attack on DM positions. When I'm trailing down and chase the result i change my Half Back. Instead of , basically accomplished BPD on DM position I put there a player of Deep lying pm characteristics ( good passing, Trait to go forward, dictate the tempo of the match, etc ) and ... Voilà . There he is, playing in the manner of Regista ( even more attack minded ) , helping my build up play more, help the overload of sector 12 , very often going to finish the action him self, with mid range shoots or direct assist thru openings in opposition defense , caused by the overload in midfield. While being responsible in defense , at the same time. Cos he's fresh, came as a sub and can play in both directions. And I don't change a single PI for that Half Back role. Player will go forward, regardless of Hold Position PI if that is his Trait; the way he plays. One of the reasons why I train all my DMCs and MCs on Roaming Playmaker role. But, implications of that approach cannot be described in the single comment ;) Damn, I wish I could leave my country and go to that FM World Cup. Just won 6th, consecutive Champions League with Crystal Palace 😊
I’ve used it for 12 games in my AFC Crewe save where I’m in my first season in League One and it’s insane. I’m battering teams 5-1, 6-1 etc and currently sit top. I’ve had 2 defeats where in one game I’ve absolutely mullered them with an insane XG but failed to score and they scored in injury time. The other well something didn’t click and I got pumped 4-1, a red card didn’t help but we’re already 3-1 down. Had a couple of games like I said where I’ve had crazy XG but just can’t score and end up drawing 0-0 or 1-1. I am league one so I guess with better strikers I would probably had won those. All in all a great tactic.
The "Miracle" of Indonesia.. thank you for the video "book"!! bring my Middlesbrough promote 1st season and UEFA Champ qual 3rd season, with only 4 transfer in
This tactic is genius! Used it for a Mönchengladbach (mid tabel team) Save in the Bundesliga .. won the League in the 2nd Season! Its really good but exhaust your players.. so you need to rotate much... Nice!
This is surprisingly similar to the strongest tactic I made for myself this year. Pretty much only difference is I used DLP for one of the DMs and didnt use FB attack. Ive been using something similar to this since FM15
That 4-2-3-1 is insane. I literally took a bottom of the barrel team in the Korean 2nd division, England League 1, and Japan J3 team to at least promotion playoffs in the first season. EDIT: One thing I wanted to mention is that I actually don't dislike double BPD, with two DMs, either DLP or DM on support. This is because you form a 2-2 box in defense, with the fullbacks up and wide to draw the wingers. You end up in a 4 v 2, and if the opponent's midfield commits to the press, the AM on roam from position and move into channels can move into space to receive a fast ground pass to feet. Almost all of my tactics used this sort of box midfield and took advantage of move into channels to get the ball up the field, especially with my narrow formations.
First time FM player: I tried to emulate the tactic after watching the world cup and won, after one season to get my squad done, three triples with Dortmund, with one invincible season in the league. It works.
Man city, Dortmund, and Barcelona are crazy compatible with this tactics. Smaller that has similar profile would be Espanyol, Porto, and Stuttgart. Try the tactics with these teams
er, I just started a Man Utd save with this tactic and thumped City 4-0 in the Community Shield. this tactic makes Tyrell Malacia look like prime Roberto Carlos
I always had CD'ers play like that and mostly play with a team nearly full on support outside one or two players. I also always play with a regista, and always play double pivot when I face a team that has two inside attacking midfielders, because you simply cannot counter it with just one DM in whatever role. Funny enough, my DM's are rarely true dm's. They are virtually always playmakers first defenders second. And I might say my tactics dominate both at Madrid, Arsenal, Porto as Santos which are my main saves. I also always play on play for set pieces. Especially players who have the 'annoy opponent' trait, will get a crazy amount of penalty's. People think that play for set pieces only applies to free kicks and corners, but it also applies to players LOOKING for penalty's so they'll hold the ball longer in the box waiting for contact. The most I had in one season was 16.
The visualizations are incredibly helpful! Props to the editor!
I support this comment fully, Zealand can I borrow your Editor? I'll give him back, I promise.

he didnt really explain it in depth, but he does say that, he identified that the Germans tactics on the Grandfinal, was a 3 centre strikers attack, utilizing wingbacks to feed them. He effectively shutdown the flanks, and the tactics crumbled.

I swear I heard this quote from Jurgen Klopp. Before VVD & Alisson came.
@@AIIXIII0 probably because thats what johan cruyff said iirc
I’m so glad that this has got broken down. You can tell so much genius has gone into this tactic
18:02 is an ancient proverb that was created by Indonesia-Dutch football coach from the year 1885, his name was Justinus Lhaksana "lu kegolan 3 goal tapi balas 4 goal, you still win the game"
coaches with good knowledge and tactician master class follow this teaching proverb.
Hahaha...😂ancient

@@dipaaa3219 its a joke.....
this is my FM problem. i play the game for 24 years (since championship manager 00/01) but something i never had much patience was tactics.
Yeah...almost *suspiciously* similar...

In one of his interviews, Ichsan mentioned that his first ever taste of FM were with FM 23, which is crazy considering he's a world champion now.
Bener bro tapi dia memiliki asisten pelatih yang cukup lama bermain FM dan sangat hapal betul pemain pemain sesuai kebutuhan taktik bro iksan
FM has always been about figuring out/breaking the game engine eventually.
Amen bro 🙏🏻
It's correct that the narrow instruction is in possession, but your team won't lose much shape in transition after losing the ball since they are inviting crosses and already was playing narrow.
It is affecting, because you got attack mostly after losing the ball during attacking period

Thanks for doing this Zealand. I have seen other coverage of Ichsan's tactic, but you provided his insight, combined with your own observations- which are all immensely helpful. I am definately going to tinker with this in my long running save.
WorkTheSpace has never clicked a video quicker
Assalamualaikum bro. What happened to your channel. Why did you stop uploading?
The tactic is just the highest rated 4231 on fm-arena, no? It used to be the highest rated overall until someone discovered the 4-2-2-2
Yeah, most of the top 4231 tatcis on fm-arena are variations of this
Checked and there are differences in the backline
As a serial downloader of tactics, I second this
@@kielmeakin4901I'll never understand the people that download or copy tactics, whats the point?
Jesus. This tactic is OP.
Running to byline and having about 5 people swarming in the middle is a cheat code
I loved this breakdown and will see how it works with a national level team in England.
The man who is seriously making me think I need to start Duo Lingo or Rosetta Stone to learn Indonesian. ;)
Great Video. The FM World Cup has raised the bar of understanding the game - knowledge.

Rotate sensibly and create a tactic where you can rest on the ball when you're 2 or 3 goals up... I took Reading from League One to the Europa League in THREE seasons signing only 7 players.
Best tactic I've seen.
this dude looks just like zealandism its crazy
Crossover when? 🤔 😂
Nah, don't compare Zealand to that copycat.
Yo, what the heck! Half of the tactics he's using are so similar to what I've been using in my save. I can't believe it! That's actually huge! 😯🔥
It would be interesting to make the same video with the Germany team which had a different tactic shape
Basically "god of chaos" tactic from FMArena.. all of those over there are OP
This moment will stay with me forever, and I will share it with future generations."
#TOGETHERforever 🇧🇩❤️🇲🇾❤️🇮🇳
Learned a lot from this, but also cool to see the bits that I use in most of my tactics. I almost always use get stuck in, run at defense,
I've been using a variation of this with many of the same principles using a 4-2-2-2 with 2 attacking midfielders and two strikers instead of the 2 wingers. It has been working like a charm. I added in a couple things from the video and its working even better.
The world champ's alternative strat when desperate for goals is also 4 2 2 2, using AF attack and CF support
honestly i love this kind of content.
it is like investigation brilliant mind of master.
Thanks for this so many ideas from this and #FM24forlife !!!!!
"BPD with dribble more.... Wow I like it...." He really is the Sun Tzu of Football Manager.
Congrats Iksan ma man!!

they both "learned" (as in copied) from here FM Arena -> sort by best. (it was there before the world cup)
Ichsan seems to understand how the engine is thinking...
Ichsan is the engine 😱🤓
Bravoooooo for this video
It kinda makes things a bit too easy.
well he just copied the tactic here: FM Arena -> sort by best. (it was there before the world cup)

This guy, Ichsan, really has some swagger. A good man.
Funnily enough the closest team to this tactic is can think of in the premier league is slots liverpool. A lot of similarities honestly and they have had an incredible start.
Try to win Champions League with Union SG after 7 years in a network save against 30 managers. Sven the GOAT. 🇩🇪
Back in FM20 (my first one) i downloaded a random tactic somewhere. Over the years i have constantly used it and always adapted it a bit more to my needs/likings- year by year.
I am shocked how similar this tactic turned out with Saint Ichsan`s creation. It always felt kind of op.
My only notable differences are:
Second Striker (DLF) instead of the regular AF
One DLP on Support instead of DM on Support
My IF's dont have markings on the enemy fullbacks
Damn, I have a similar story to share ... playing CM since 1997 (Blackburn guy here), stopped at FM06, came back at FM20 (because it's free). Preferred to make my own Tactics all the time, but somehow came up with very similar conclusions with the WC winner. Shared a few within comments here, but guess I can summarise here too, my insights from decades of playing -
i love how he can manage his team's result with al ot of goals
Ichsan Rahman Taufiq, he's a guy who likes to share football strategy knowledge on his YT channel, he's just a good guy.

The most important thing is that he managed to choose players who fit the tactics he wants.
Looks a lot like the Katana tactic. Very successful on testing.
The attempt with the Wolves reminded me of the only reason I play this. Challenge 1: win La Liga with Valencia, updated with the 2024-25 squad, in the first season without signing any players. Challenge 2: Win the Champions in the second season with a positive balance in signings.
just won the pl with united, first season with this. its crazy powerful
Balls. Also would be nice to have some of the others from the world cup come over (such as germany, england and such) and review their tactic and may be compare it to iksan's tactic
One of cons applying this tactic is that it has low ball possession %. For those who love ball possession dominance, this tactic is not for you. But for those who enjoys winning, this is your go to tactic.
he really love the game and the community
btw I just got promoted to the Premier League with mighty Oxford United after only two seasons.
Just won 6th, consecutive Champions League with Crystal Palace 😊
he is one of the best for a reason. (but I Love that I know two people who beat him in a tournament this month. So his tactic is beatable.)
Nice!
Update: 3rd Season: Won the League again and also won the Champions League! This tactic is killer!
FM Arena -> sort by best. (it was there before the world cup)
Zealand 👑 pat yourself in the back for this great content. 💎✨👌
Great edit by the way🎉
I always had CD'ers play like that and mostly play with a team nearly full on support outside one or two players.
Props to this guy. Indonesian. What a talent.
