      Yeah they were $499 at one point, the price of all guitars have went up very quickly now thanks to inflation. It’s funny if you bought this when it was $499 they could pretty much sell it for the same price used now. I bought an SE used back in 2014 for $200 now the same guitar I can’t find for less than $600 used :(

    how’s the string action as a stock? Do you still need to take it to a luthier to lower its action properly? Thanks for the great review!

    • @MooreMusicGuitars
      @MooreMusicGuitars  3 роки тому +8

      Not if you get it from us. We include a custom setup for every guitar we sell. You tell us the action you're looking for, and it will be shipped with your preferred string gauges and setup.

      Other than the thin flame maple top on the Custom, the components are the same.

    Can you please explain how to use diff pickup full/split for diff stile of music?

    • @MooreMusicGuitars
      @MooreMusicGuitars  3 роки тому +6

      It's hard for me to attach a full/split pickup to a particular musical style, but in general, a split humbucker will be brighter in tone, and slightly lower output, so it won't drive your amp quite as hard. If you're in a band with a thick rhythm section (horns, keyboards, multiple guitars) the split setting may help you cut through by giving your tone more focus. If you're rocking out with a 3 or 4 piece, you may want the full humbucker to fill in some frequencies. Neck and bridge pickups both will exhibit these same qualities, with the neck pickup tone being mellower overall. It's great that these guitars give you that versatility.

      There was a problem up until 2021 with the nut binding the strings. They changed the nut. The new one is black, the older one was white.

  • @larsdahl6594

    That neck looks awfully wide. Can't judge thickness from this angle, but I imagine the width alone could be a negative for those of us who aren't naturally blessed with long fingers. I know, it's also better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick, but still worth mentioning.

    • @MooreMusicGuitars
      @MooreMusicGuitars  3 роки тому +5

      It's 1-11/16" (1.6875") at the nut, which is between an American Pro Strat at 1.685" and a Les Paul Standard at 1.695". Even though PRS calls the neck profile "wide/thin" it's a comfortable profile for most players.

      Yes, but we try to keep in mind that with guitars that are priced at an entry-level, some viewers may be looking at this as their first electric purchase. Thanks for watching our channel, and I think you'll find content here that will translate to every level of experience.
