    I watched this video in order to roll my eyes, yet again, at the explanation of rod weights n speeds. Imagine my surprise when everything was laid out and explained, not only correctly, but also with visuals and in a manner that anyone could understand. Excellent job! You earned a like and a subscriber with that one, Cap. 👍🏼

    I really enjoyed your video. You really explained the facts of how to understand rod manufactures specifications well. Why you have so many rods is probably why many other anglers do too. The more you fish the more you realize not all rods are created equal. Every rod manufacture uses different standards so a medium fast action rod made by different manufactures casts lure differently and is more or less powerful than another. One fact I learned is if I catch a ton of fish on a certain rod casting a Rattle-L-Trap that is now my Rattle-L-Trap rod. That goes for the reel and line setup as well. When you find a pair of comfortable shoes buy two pair. It works for fishing rods too. New rod models often say they are better and turn out not to be as good as the old trusty one you already have. Some guys have ten rods of different makes laying on the deck. All are medium heavy actions and that is all they ever use casting everything. Others have a rod for every size and type of lure they fish, so what is the answer for that. Do you know how many rods you have? if it is less than 100 you are still Okay in my opinion.

    KastKing, just saw this on Captain Mikey's channel and again he hit it out of the park! The Best team up Ever! Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!
    "See again, this is what I'm talking about! just like on the Kastking spinner bait vid, you break it down, put it out there and still help us understand it for ourselves. "you teach, you fish and remind us in each and every video about the love for fishing one has". Captain Mikey you are Amazing brother man! I was just looking at some rods the other day and couldn't quite decide on which one. I think i know which one i'ma go get 👍 Thank you again and Merry Christmas to you and your Family and Happy New Years also! 👍"

    Solid overview 👍. I’d be interested to hear a more in-depth overview on rod selection that covers matching the rod to the hook and line type (braid/mono/fluoro) as well.

    Hi, one of very good explanation of rod action and power, i do like it, but i don't recommend kastking products, maybe rods are ok, but never arrived to my country, I'm a tackle reviewer never had chance to review kastking rods.

    Thanks for the clarification! So to make sure I understand, if am fishing off a pier, cut bait… I should be using medium or med-heavy power, with a moderate or moderate-fast action rod?

    I was watching you cast in the video. You cast just as I do 1:43. You cast with your right hand and switch the reel over to reel with your right hand also instead of reeling with the left hand. Ah man this is so annoying to me when I am casting a lot.

    • @KastKing
      @KastKing  3 роки тому

      Hi Darris, just use the hand you feel comfortable
