This was the most clear explanation I’ve heard. As an angler with ADHD it’s overwhelming trying to “figure” it out. Thanks brother! Keep up the great vids.
Could you do a video on what is an appropriate rod(power and action)and line for your different main baits such as crank, chatterbait, buzz bait, topwater( frog, popper, plopper) Texas rig worms and creature baits, swim baits, glide baits , etc? I know you touched a couple lightly but a whole break down would be great. Thanks. Good content
My medium heavy rod is highly adaptable. If the lure is too big or heavy it becomes a slow action and if the lure is tiny and light It becomes a monster. It can also expand and retract!!!
I still have my Fritts rod ! All worked on but the blank. With micro guides and new cork it's a machine on a light rattle-bait. Wifie cought a 9lb. Largemouth on it, It was a epic battle 5 jumps no way to stop her on 10lb. test. Her best fish ever crazy fun. Your information is great always. That glass blank lands everything !
Easy for any beginner looking to get a casting rod setup get a 7ft medium heavy fast action with a baitcasting reel that is the 7.1.1 or any in the 7 gear ratio spooled with 12-15lb mono, and a spinning rod that's a 7ft medium fast with a 3000 for 10lb mono to start and when you have gotten how to use both setups for about 6 months roughly and then you can start trying to use braided line. Braid for spinning setup switch to 10-15lb braid and a leader of mono or fluoro, baitcasting/casting setup then switch to 30lb braid then to use a leader from 12-20lb depending on technique and length of the rod that is what I found to be best. Brand does not matter to start.
Hey tyler I realy think you should made a complete tutorial on rod/line for most popular bait like crakbait/jerkbait/swimbait etc it would be a realy nice video . And by the way you are my top 3 fisherman that I would like to fish with one day ❤
Wow man this was excellent. Unbelievable job explaining everything and keeping it short and sweet. Gotta be probably the best video every made on this subject!!
Hello, thanks for the wonderful video and excellent explanation. I have a question, I own the type of action, the type of action, the Modrite Fast, does this type of action work on the jerrying, bytes, or is it not suitable for this lure?

Nobody talks about the Action. They just say “needs a good tip on it” what’s a good tip ? 😆
A good tip is that you don't need a rod for every different lure out there. Don't over complicate fishing.
You should have said there is no industry standard on all of this.
