I don't know...I'm not yet getting an overwhelming feeling of majesty, strength, power, and knowledge from this dragon kingdom. I feel as though a young dragon king would be impetuous, eager to show the world how powerful he is. Even born of wisdom, He has more of a "here's a gift. Please don't punch me in the face" kind of vibe. And then to lose the lord in battle to lesser beings. yikes...sad. and not in a tearful farewell kind of way. More of a putting down a young animal out of mercy because you know it couldn't survive in the world kind of way. I'll keep tuning in. Good luck!
Hmmmm interesting interesting. The way I see it is more like bringing a bottle of wine and some flowers when you visit somebody. "Hey there, here's a little something for ya". A polite gesture, nothing more. But I see where you're coming from!
You really need to be more aggressive with the units that come back after dying in order to protect the other units that will impact the army strength if lost
All hail our draconic martyr! Regarding your budding friendship with what's-his-name of the "other side", there is a good reason you went in neutral, right? I think it's perfect that it turned out this way, with you uniting dragons from both sides under youd umbrella of friendship (lol) They're not that sinister anyway, right? They're just a craftsdragon, an artisan! Honestly, it would have been pretty boring if you really could just befriend and ally with one side of the conflict, especially since some of the "good" dragons sound like they might be trouble down the line. Better not get a strong military now or someone might get upsetti spaghetti over it! I also enjoy the possible tensions that might arise if your friends from one side get upset at your friend of the other side. Can you talk them up somehow? Like when rulers come up to you and say "This person has crossed me, blablabla" is there a mechanic in there you could use to unite them by doing the opposite of that trash-talking? Wait, is the trash-talking literally what declaring a rivalry looks like from the outside? If so, declaring a friendship is just that, right? Aaaah, that'd be neat.
Yo, one small tip. You know that you can destroy obstacles like the cactus by holding Alt button. You did take a lot of bleeding damage on that last battle that could been avoided by just destroying them. It can be good do do round 1 with your range units to make the battle field to your favor. Almost everything can be destroyed that way and even big things if you have the demolisher skill on the unit.
You thinking about aliance reminds me my Total War games... never ever I forge military aliances, as those fools always drag me to unnecesary wars against my own allies...
I personally don't see Bahad'dur as the type for Terrifying Gorging. That would fit more with a vicious, barbarian-type dragon, which Bahad'dur isn't. Will he crush his opponents before him? Yes. Will he eat them alive, screaming in as he feasts on their flesh? No. He's too benevolent for that. Too civilised. I'd say it doesn't work for his character, personally. Still really enjoy the series, though. I like our benevolent draconic overlord trying to bring peace to the world, while all the 'Elder' Elder Dragons are just like 'hey kid, we're busy fighting over here!'
You've convinced me to make a light dragon that eats people. Because it would be better to consume a great enemy rather than leaving a rotting corpse on the ground in your wake
If he kept his shield unit there, that might have protected him enough as well, instead of running the unit over cacti to shield a unit that was at no risk of dying.
Could you maybe customize the crocodile lady? I feel like she looks rather bizarre with the dress and glowing crown thing, she has potential to look so badass. I feel like when the option is there, why not use it, make it more fun. I feel the same in the Gur gul playthrough, that Urlau looks too similar to Baba, because of the cape. But hey, that's just my preference, I love customizations, that's partly why i fell in love with this game.
Haha I hear ya! Part of the reason I don't do too much of it for these series is because I'd spend literal *hours* on it per character, fussing over every detail 🤣.
@@PartyElite I totally get that, I personally would watch an episode dedicated to customizations, at least I would see the showcase of options :D (no one really shows it properly anyway). In any case, continue with this game, I'm really enjoying it.
Bro, you've really gotta learn how to use the High culture in battle. Awakening doesn't just activate their special ability. It also adds +4 spirit damage to all of their attacks. Even units that don't have Awakening abilities still get the +4 spirit damage. This makes the High culture's units the hardest hitting units in the game. This means hitting as many of your units as possible with Awakening, as early as possible, should always be your top priority! Keep up the great content. I love that you roleplay the character even if it isn't always optimal. I play the same way. :)
What is your opinion on Materium? I think the elemental winds and rock might be fitting, and a little of the industriousness fits fit order imo. I especially like winds as you'll have a huge amount of flying units, and the game has so very few decent archers. This tome give the Zephyr one, a nature tomes gives the Glade Runner, which Gur Gul has access to. All other archers are low tier and subpar. But probably get the zeal tome first, it's very thematic with the cult!
Lol Barad'dur is always broke on all resources! You probably have too much production and draft, they just increase your spending speed. You need to be able to sustain this first. So I'd always prioritise gold, mana and food. If you stockpile a bit (gold, mana and imperium) you have an emergency fund to use most effectively. Maybe Barad'dur learns from his mistakes and slowly develops this urge to increase his dragon hoard? Iirc there are secret events that can trigger if you hoard over 1000 gold or mana, giving you a destiny.
Gotta say, PE, losing Bahad'Dur like that. It had been years since you "lost your flagship" in a playthrough 😅. Guess old habits die hard? Man, those Battlefeet Gothic Armada MP matches were fun. In any case, definitely, Bahad'Dur would rather take the wounds than let his people die if he knew some would die and he could spare them from such a grim fate

59:57 -- I wouldn't have pulled back; I would have parked the units on top of the cave

Bahad'dur is is still feeling young and is likely very hungry. Yeah. I think terrifying gorging is fitting
Unite the realm in mah belly!

Yeah, not that fitting for a goody two shoes. So maybe Barad'dur is struggling keeping his darker side in?
At the end of the day, he is still a dragon. Maybe he only chews in self defense.
@@Graypaws That's what he has claws and breath for. Slapping a foe, and burning their soul to cinders.

Good work as always. Thanks.
Even good dragons gotta eat so i think that made perfect sense!
If you want your units to go around a thing, you can just move them multiple times.
One episode behind awesome series 🎉
Another fun and great episode. Will watch the next one. June 20 is coming 5 days left for 1st Dragon Dawn DLC :)
You do know ranged units cant shoot, if you engage them in melee right?
Yes haha. But the risk of being swarmed when overextended... Once bitten twice shy
How does defense work exactly?
Party try to use that imperium to expand your borders more, unless I missed where you were saving it for something.
I don't think he cares much about imperium since for some reason he doesn't want to improve his gov building and he refuses to build wizard towers.
Defending next to Bahad'dur would've been better than the flanked defender. Just a tier 1. Plus your leader was being flanked even worse
Losing Bahad'dur stings. You even mentioned popping the healing spell on him just in case and decided against it.
Yeah sometimes I can see things before they happen and I dive in headfirst anyway

Wonder how well that pairs with mana addicts

Joined into this a bit late but hey! "Boszorkan" there - "Boszorkány" is a Hungarian word, meaning "Witch". Guess that is where that's coming from.

Am i the only one that thinks Bahad'Dur's head is a little big.
He kinda has a comically large head.
Big'Head'Durr
