Megi Panariti OMG, actually tried so hard to ship them, and be happy for Dorian, but I just couldn't. I really ship Celaorian, but at the same time, I feel really bad for Chaol. At the end of the day though, I am definitely on team Celeana. Like, if she decides that she doesn't want to be with anyone in the end, I will stand with her on her decision because she has earned every right to have the freedom to make decisions and honestly I feel like nobody, including a reader, has the right to tell her otherwise. I really love Celeana and I really loved this book. Im pretty sure this is my favourite book of all time now. Thank you Sarah J Mass fir writing it!!!!!
I feel like I'm the only one who like Chaol. Even though I gor annoyed with his indecison to pick a side in heir of fire, he loves Celeana. Chaol was the one that killed Cain to save her and encouraged her to get up. He send her away to protect her ( even though it backfired and Celeana doesn't need someone to save her).
So do i. I was like, "hey, what dorian do for celaena? He just kiss her!" Maybe not just kiss but... Chaol! He saves her, he knows how to deal with celaena bad side or good. He loves celaena more than dorian. He sacrifice himself! I think Chaol is the right guy for celaena, he's the type of the guy i like too hehe. He's loyal, cute, not playboy (ekhem... That's dorian :p), not too soft. Beside chaol (if they didn't work) i pick Rowan, he's kinda like Chaol, but more wise and immortal. They have the same beginning with celaena, always bickering. That's my opinion
Ugh Im really the only person who ships Celaena and Rowan! I try really hard to like Dorian but hes just so whiny- I remember reading his POV in previous books and just rolling my eyes because all he ver did was cry or swoon over Celaena. I definitely shipped Chaol and Celaena in book two but I really grew to love Rowan and Rowan AND Celaena. They were and are just so good for each other. In the end though, I am also team Celaena and I trust sjm enough to know that whatever happens will be written seamlessly.
I can already see it..... Manon is sent by the king to kill his Champion or Celaena. She finds her and is all like "you think you can kill me? Ha I've killed one of you already." Then Manon is all like "you? You killed Baba Yellowlegs? How?" Celaena says "oh just an ax, a mirror, and some fire".
Not to be rude, but what did you really expect of Chaol? He's been born and raised to believe all his life that magic is bad and evil and that's not just something he could get over and forget immediately, I think it was much more realistic and better to read his struggle over that doctrine of belief that he had on Magic, and plus he was doing and sacrificing a lot to protect his friend Dorian. What matters is that eventually in the end he did get over that belief and he came through majorly in the end. Oh and I'd rather Celeana be with anyone other than Dorian, cause I really didn't care for and never really bought their romantic relationship in the first book. Sam will always rank above them all anyways in my opinion.
THANK YOU!!!! I was so sad hearing this hate on my baby, and I don't think people realize how hard changing your ideals on something is. It's not like a switch that he can flip and suddenly he's okay with magic.
Exactly. The criticisms that Chaol has been getting in this book have been kind of ridiculous and, dare I say it, ignorant? Like I said, I thought it was much more realistic to see him go through this struggle with these beliefs, and like you said it's not a switch that he can simply flip off. This also may sound silly but I also think the criticism of Chaol in this book is just from a lot of absolute lovers of Dorian who will use the slightest thing to criticize Chaol and praise Dorian as being better despite the fact that Dorian really didn't do much in this book at all while Chaol was doing most of the work and mostly so he could protect Dorian. Now I get why Dorian wasn't doing a whole lot in this book, because he didn't have a grip on his magic, but that still didn't stop him from engaging in yet another pointless romance that I absolutely cared nothing about. I'm sorry but the whole Sorscha-Dorian thing was easily me least favorite storyline in this book. So yeah, I think the criticism of Chaol is completely unjustified and that's not just because I like Chaol as a character better than Dorian.
Wow you are me. Those are my thoughts. I also didn't like Sorscha and Dorian together and was totally happy with her dying. And I totally get where you're coming from. I also think that people latch on to any bad thing that Chaol does and blows them out of proportion. Also, did people not realize how much Chaol was risking for Dorian?? He risked a position that he worked so hard for and left his inheritance for. He also was willing to sacrifice a life-long relationship with Dorian to keep him safe. Despite his reservations regarding magic, he ignored them in order to help Dorian.
I knowwww and ugh whenever people see something bad that Chaol did they all hold on to that piece of information and forget everything he's done like sacrifice his freedom and stuff -___-
Pretty much. I'll never understand all the praise Dorian's character gets. He's not a bad character necessarily but to me he's just...meh. Chaol, to me, has always been the more dynamic and layered character.
I don't think it was so much that Chaol didn't support Aelin/Celeana wholeheartedly, but more that her goals conflicted with Dorian's safety, at least in Chaol's mind. His goal was to protect both Celeana, whom he loves, and Dorian, his best friend, and that landed him in the middle since Celeana's goal is to destroy Adarlan, Dorian being it's prince. Only thing that frustrated me about Chaol was his struggle with accepting Celeana's and Dorian's powers.
*LONG POST* I still ship Celaena and Dorian for the end too! They'd SERIOUSLY be this incredible power couple. She has fire and he has ice! Not to mention the dialogue between Rowan and Celaena when he said, "'Sometimes, mates can be together intimately before the actual bond snaps into place.' 'It’s a useless hope to cling to, anyway.' 'Do you want the truth?' She tucked her chin into her tunic and closed her eyes. 'Not tonight.'" (Maas, 394 Kindle app edition) Dorian and Celaena have been together intimately in some ways and maybe the REAL bond just hasn't happened yet. There was a connection between them though and they're like a present day Elena and Gavin. I REALLY hope they happen... UGH... it's all so great! I'm really looking forward to the Aelin and Aedion reunion and I really really really want Dorian to be freed of his dad's dark collar. That was one of the craziest parts of the book and I totally didn't see it coming. On the bright side he isn't dead and all hope isn't totally lost. I think Celana cares enough about him to try to redeem who he used to be. All in all, your book talk describes my feelings really well and I'm anticipating the next book to read how this plays out.
I don't think Dorian and Celeana should be together, I think they fit so perfect as friends. He also said in the book that he had thought he loved her, but that he doesn't love her that way anymore. I don't like Chaol, at all. He just can't accept every part of Celeana, and I was so annoyed with him in this book. I LOVE ROWAN SO MUCh!! I think he and Celeana are so perfect together and need to be together I'm not kidding, they're my all time OTP and it hurts. And I hope the relationship between Aedion and Celeana will not be romantic, I think they're too different in a way I'm not sure but it just don't feel right. But I'm so excited for their reunion!!! But the first time we met Rowan in the book I just got a feeling, that he and Celeana were going to get an important relationship. And they fit so well Both hurt past Both warriors Both understand each other so well, he accept every part of her. Chaol just got horrified. Rowan didn't judge her. I love him so much. And Rowan and Celeana needs to be together. I can wait three books, it's gonna be six books, and I hope Celeana and Rowan gets together forever, or Celeana isn't together with anyone at all. This was long but I finished the book one hour ago and I need to express my opinions!! I love these books so much
I WANT CELAENA AND CHAOL TOGETHER SO BAD........... I am currently reading the book. And I was getting so antsy that I needed answers to some of my questions :P
I agree about Chaol. Even I wrote in my review that it annoyed me he hadn't chosen a side or accepted Celaena and Dorian for what they were and I was so happy he finally did and stood up for it. But I think the reason why he was so reluctant was because he'd given his life and title of Future Lord of Anielle to be loyal to the King and Dorian and I guess after giving so much and fighting for it plus leaving his family, it was hard. He even agreed to go back to Anielle for Celaenas sake. But Im sure he was conflicted. But I still love him and he needs to be reunited with Cel. And Dorian, my poor Dorian :( he has that wretched collar and I remember the only way to take it off was by...beheading :'(
I actually agree with you. I quite dislike Chaol. Always have. I mean I liked him a little bit in the first book- that's the only time I think he actually had any strength of character. I find his character really weak (sorry I know that's harsh for people who are team Chaol), and so NOT compatible with Celeana. Literally all the other male characters are mentally/emotionally/intellectually stronger than him. (Maybe I'm the only one- but I'm totally Team Rowan :) )
This book was soo perfect!!! I really loved how this book was not about romance! But I did start shipping Dorian and Celeana a bit again and the collar thing made me through my books at the wall and I would normally hate myself for hurting a book.
Heir of Fire has got to be my favourite book in the last year, just when you think it couldn't get better it does and then some. It's mega epic. I could talk about Heir of Fire for a year and not be done with it.
Anyone else SO happy this was 20 minutes. I could gush for DAYS over this book! I agree on loving the Rowan and Celeana friendship!! Hopefully we'll get to see him in part 4. How is it possible to love this many characters?!
I thought Manon's chapters were the best. Everybody's else's I though were pretty boring, especially Chaol's and Dorian's. I liked most of Celaena's but it dragged out too long for me. I only enjoyed this book as much as I did for the last 100-120 pages. If this book had been about 100 pages shorter I would have loved it so much more.
This might be a bit weird but as I read more of Manon's story line and the interactions between her and Abraxos, the wyvern somehow transformed into Toothless from How To Train a Dragon in my head. I know that they are both very different creatures but somehow it just happened in my mind... XD
See, I TOTALLY LOVED the Manon story line probably a bit more than Chaol/Dorian &Sorscha. Also am I the only one who doesn't have an "endgame ship"?? I feel like I'm always looking forward to the friendships in these books more than the romance.
Same! Honestly I love Dorian as a character and I really like Chaol but at this point I'm still not sure who I officially ship with Celaena. I don't hardcore ship her with anyone. And with Rowan, I absolutely love love love their friendship. I really hope it remains that way because even though epic romances are great, there's something really touching and beautiful about a great friendship. So that's why I just want them to be BFFs. And zaedi on as well. As for Dorian, I really just hope that he just ends up happy in the end. Like that's all I truly want for him.
Your know, the whole wyvern thing is so annoying because in my mind they were Bulls with wings and I looked it up but the image of bulls won't leave my head -_-
The last chapter with Manon, the one with the war games, surprised me when it came because it had been so long since we had read from her POV that I forgot she was a thing in the book because I was so focused on Celaena and Rowan and our million other problems
The next book is definitely my most anticipated for 2015! You're probably right that Rowan and Celaena are just similar to parabati...but I SO ship them as a couple. I have a video up with my own predictions if you're interested (if not, no hard feelings ;) ). Don't want to spoil people in the comment section.
I'm watching this video to refresh my memory before reading Queen of Shadows and I have to say, you did an amazing job in sumarizing and expressing your thoughts and feelings toward the characters. That part where you described how much you dislike Dorian's relatioship with Sorcha was way too funny!!! Keep up the good work girl!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS DETAILED REVIEW!! I finished reading this book 2 years ago and now I'm finally going to read Queen of Shadows. This helped me remember all the important parts so I can understand what's going on in Queen of Shadows!
Manon was your least favorite storyline?! Because I could just not get enough of her chapters. Manon's point of view was my favorite to read about. The whole plot with the Ironteeth Witches was just really fascinating to me!
Sophie Kebret that can’t be, because it was handed out at a party for all the nobles in Adarlans Court and there are only 3 keys, with 2 we already know of. I think it was just a token of nobility from Adarlan
SUPERB. All of your videos are very professional. You focus on the main subject, you dive deep in, you refine, and you introduce a perfect literature material. Your videography is simple and perfect.
WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE SORSCHA?! I guess I liked her because I really don't care very much about the romance in this series, so her relationship with Dorian didn't bother me. I think I'm Celaena x Dorian, but honestly, the romance is so weak in these books, that it really doesn't matter.
***** I just didn't like that yet another woman of color, like Nehemia, was killed off in a very gruesome way. This is a very troubling pattern Sarah J. Maas has going here.....
***** I wasn't trying to be rude? I was just putting in my own thoughts on why Sorscha's death personally bothered me so much. It's fine if it didn't bother you as much, I was just saying why I myself was upset at her death. And I'm not "just looking at their skin color", I'm merely pointing out that they are women of color, which is VERY important because YA fantasy is severely lacking diversity and I appreciated Maas putting them in there (and writing them so well), but she continues to kill them off to further the character development of white characters (like Celaena and Dorian). I wouldn't be so irritated and troubled by this if she made characters like Celaena, Chaol, Dorian, Rowan, or anyone else, really, a poc. I just want Maas to add more diversity without immediately beheading them. Hopefully we will get well-written poc characters in Queen of Shadows, who live, and I won't feel this way anymore!! Plus, I myself am a woman of color, so...
I LOVE Chaol so much. It broke my heart knowing it was never gonna happen again between them too, but i came to terms with it and now i really want Aelin and Rowan to end up together.
I just finished Heir of Fire and for some reason I thought it was only going to be a trilogy. So for the last 100 pages of the book, I was so worried that there wasn't going to be a good conclusion because there is so many unanswered questions. I'm glad that there are more books, but I need them right NOW!
Gonna say it......you never dislike any books! Your channel is basically you saying every young adult book that you have read is awesome. I'm not saying you should dislike or slam books/ authors unnecessarily, but surely you must read some books which just don't float your boat? Right?
I'm very picky about what I read. I don't start a book unless I think I'm going to like it, and if I'm not liking it, I put it down. There are too many good books out there for me to waste my time on bad or even mediocre ones. Of course there are books I have disliked, but the reason I don't really talk about them is that I don't finish them, and I don't think it's fair for me to review books unless I've finished them. I'm not sure if you watch my Wrap-Ups, but even with books I do like I still mention aspects that I didn't like, or aspects that I think others will not like. For example, I personally loved the Lux series, but there's a huge emphasis on the romance and the writing style is very simple and "teen speak-y" which not everyone enjoys. I thought The Selection series was fun and entertaining, but the main character was annoying and the world building lacking. I liked the Divergent series overall, but have said on multiple occasions that I didn't like Allegiant because the dual pov didn't work for me and the info dumping really dragged the story down. Invisibility by David Levithan and Andrea Cremer was written by two authors I like and the premise was great, but the execution was sloppy and disappointing. These are just a few that come immediately to mind, but I could go on and on. Again, I'm not sure how many/which of my videos you've watched, but there are plenty in which I bring up negative critiques about books I've read.
I reread all the books, and now I feel so empty! XD Now, I 'm just rewatching all throne of glass series booktalks. So much fun! I love your book talks (actually.... I just love all of your videos ❤️).
Love your review. I definately struggled with reading Celaena's self-loathing, at this point I was really attached to her as well and had to read it in small parts to cope with the emotional stress xD
I totally agree with you that this saga is epic and the best haha ! I haven't read "Heir of Fire" yet and not the prequels either (I have the book on my TBR) Keep the end of this video for after reading Heir of Fire :P ! Sarah J Maas began to be my favorite author when I read Throne of Glass ^^
Best book of the year to me! We Were Liars actually got dethroned from that seat. D: But everything you said, I agreed. Dorian, oh man. My fav character and I still feel that he and Celaena will be the end game? The collar incident made me hesitate about that because I'm afraid he will be turned into one of the soulless and dark warriors for the king. But IF he has that hope inside of him(him and Celaena are the only two characters written with the hope they are to bring for their people), his soul will not die out just like the other warriors.
Finally finished! I loved hearing your thoughts on this book! I honestly don't know who I want Celena to end up with anymore, Dorian would make a nice alliance, but then Chaol *sighs* I love him! lol But the next book is gonna have so much stuff going on! I am so excited! :D
I got this one from Bloomsbury and I CAN'T EVEN SPEAK THE FEELS THE FEEEEEELLLLLLSSSS. Unfortunately I can't post my review until the British publication date though cause #scottishbooktuberprobs. IT WAS SOO GOOD!!! *dances*
I absolutely LOVED Manon's story line. I looked forward to reading all of her chapters. I honestly felt like Celaena's chapters dragged in part one because she wasn't making much progress. I know there were things she had to overcome, but that didn't involve much action, so I really liked the other chapters in between. I also love all the new characters, Rowan and Aedion and Manon. And now I don't know who to ship anymore. I was hardcore team Chaol, but now it seems like they are giving up on each other, so I don't know if they're going to end up together. I can see her and Rowan getting together, so it's a toss-up. I feel like Dorian is permanently out of the romantic picture, but I see them forming a powerful alliance in the future.
+Melissa Crest i feel like you and i are the only ones. Manon was Everything i geniuenly would groan when we switched from manon storyline to chaol and others there were times i was like, "make the whole story about manon " and then rowan and calaena grew on me there platonic but not platonic relationship absolutely loved it. but MANON.
I absolutely LOVE Heir of Fire. I'm marathoning the series now. I already finished the Assassin's Blade and I'm now on Throne of Glass. P.S. can we just take a moment to admire the Heir of Fire cover? I think this series has the most beautiful covers of all. I can't wait for the next book.
I just finished it (only came out in England on the 11th) and it was the BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!! I actually really liked the Dorian Sorscha relationship, I was happy that Dorian was happy with her and I cried, no spoilers, but you know why I cried
I felt the same way about the Manon storyline, it was kinda random, it was good but... yea lol random, I was hoping it would tie into the Celaena storyline but I suppose it will in the next book. I was also frustrated with Chaol in this book, I found him to be wimpy in the 1st book, a liar in the 2nd, and now all of the above plus he's indecisive now. Go team Rowan! XD
God damn this book had my soul! I just want them all to be together and in love and happy. Like in some way or another she needs all these men in her life but I'm so so sure someone is going to die!
BEST. BOOK. EVER. This is also one of my favorite ongoing series as well! I can't wait for the rest to come out! (Also really looking forward to discussing this more with you during the liveshow!!) Oh BTW I've TOTALLY been pronouncing Manon wrong... haha I actually looked up this video where Sarah J. Maas talks about the synopsis of Heir of Fire and you've been pronouncing it right, I was wrong! ua-cam.com/video/ouLZAi4ZM0A/v-deo.html I've also pronounced Wyvern wrong though... Wiv-vern... opps. At least I have the rest of the names right haha... You have to admit, some of her names are pretty hard to pronounce though. I mean, she even knows it because she posted a pronunciation chart for Throne of Glass on her blog.. lol But about Heir of Fire... I totally agree with you about Manon. Like at first I was kinda bored with it JUST because I wanted to get back to Celaena soooo bad... but then she really grew on me and I was loving her story by the end of the book! On Sarah's blog she said that she's wasn't planning on introducing Manon so early in the series, but she just loves that character SO much that she couldn't wait for us to meet her! I also loved Aedion.. I mean AFTER we find out that he isn't terrible. I ALSO reallllyyyy wanted them to meet up in this book! I was so bummed that it was over and he still hadn't seen Celaena... but I'm REALLY hoping they get to in Book 4. Oh speaking of book 4, have you seen Sarah's board on Pinterest where she pins lots of pictures and things about the future books? There's so many little mysterious hints and things.. I'm sooooooo ready for Book 4!!!! I was frustrated with Chaol in this book too... but at least he came around eventually... I'm on team Celaena too... but I admitted before that I was more on Team Chaol than Dorian... but THEN everything happened at the end of Crown of Midnight.. and Heir of Fire and I honestly have NO clue who she will end up with. If anyone? And we can totally talk about this more in the liveshow.. but my love for Rowan. Oh mannn. He's my new favorite character of the series. I was SO confused while reading this book... like I didn't really THINK that I wanted Rowan and Celaena together... but just like you said I was getting those feelings too while reading it.. and I don't know. I'm so confused. But I definitely love him and I think he was SO good for her... Like he helped build her back up and I love that no matter what, I really believe that they are going to be like besties forever... haha Okay this was way too long... we will talk more on the 27th... haha
******SPOILERS********* They explained Maeve's ring in the book. Her lover was Brannon's, Celaena's ancestor who she got her fire from, best friend. When Maeve was in possession of all the Wyrdkeys her lover assisted Brannon in taking them away from her and hiding them from her use. He carried with him a ring that he had planned to propose to her with. The sword that Celaena found in the cave had the ring on the hilt. Rowan knew that it was Maeve's and told Celaena, when he let her keep the sword, that he "hoped she found a good use for it". He knew that she could use it as a bargaining chip, he just had no inclination that she would use it to bargain for his freedom.
And I'm here shipping Rowan and Celaena....currently reading Heir of Fire and now I'm leaving because SPOILERS WHOOOOOOOP Also: SAAAAAAAAM *CRIES* Okay..bye haha I WILL BE BACK
plus look at the hints (i think): dorian's magic is ice, celeana's is fire, she finally became sorta "queen", dorian (like chaol said) was starting become more like "king", they both got magic, they both lost SOMEONE they love ,and yea:)
I'm so glad, you didn't like Sorscha and Dorian either, like WHAT WAS THIS????! I also want Celaena to end up with Dorian and she is my favorite character.
I liked sorscha with Dorian because she made him so happy and I almost cried when she got beheaded because of Dorian's reaction. and I also ship Celaena and Aedion because their memories together were so adorable.
I love this book series so much I don't even think I can handle how much it makes me heart swell but I understand all the points being made. I am head over heels for Chaol but I completely understand your point! He could get super annoying and his emotional struggle was so frustrating. But even from the first time we met him I've felt like a I understood him. I understood his stubbornness and I could tolerate it and I understand how many don't. I found the rifthold story my least favourite aside from Aedion (BECAUSE AEDION)! I just found them harder to read (more painful maybe?) but manond story was super intriguing and I can't even get started on celaena's story god highly anticipating the next book
I'm so glad I wasn't the only who HATED the Dorian/Sorscha relationship.... XD
I was like, uh Dorian, you obviously belong with Celaena... CELAORIAN!!!!!!!
ALL THE WAY!
I was disgusted!!!
Megi Panariti OMG, actually tried so hard to ship them, and be happy for Dorian, but I just couldn't. I really ship Celaorian, but at the same time, I feel really bad for Chaol. At the end of the day though, I am definitely on team Celeana. I really love Celeana and I really loved this book. Im pretty sure this is my favourite book of all time now. Thank you Sarah J Mass fir writing it!!!!!
1000000% in agreement but Chaol gets on my nerves sometimes lol
I feel like I'm the only one who like Chaol. Even though I gor annoyed with his indecison to pick a side in heir of fire, he loves Celeana. Chaol was the one that killed Cain to save her and encouraged her to get up. He send her away to protect her ( even though it backfired and Celeana doesn't need someone to save her).

No I do too
Honestly I'll ship her with anyone but Dorian. I really didn't care for the Dorian-Celeana relationship.
Ok i know I'm late and all... BUT I SHIP THEM TOOO OML THEY ARE MY OTP
I ship Aelina and rowan together ❤️
Carissa Muller YED
Am I the only one who's team Rowan???
Clondy Horan Nope Rowan 4 Ever! 😍
Nope Roailen for life
Agreed on the Aedion and Aelin reunion NEEDS TO HAPPEN!
That would be so EPIC!
Chaol and Celaena.
the no mate thing.
I died. I was almost crying. It was so upsetting.
wow "upsetting"
?
that girls face is freakydeekie
no.
freakydeekie
HO MAN I FORGOT ABOUT THIS RING SITUATION. I HOPE IT'S NOT LIKE A LORD OF THE RINGS SITUTATION.
Hi 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
polandbananas20 HAHAHAHHA

And they fit so well
Both hurt past
Both warriors
Both understand each other so well, he accept every part of her.
And Dorian, my poor Dorian :( he has that wretched collar and I remember the only way to take it off was by...beheading :'(
I will always support Chaol, no matter what happens.
Omg yes!! I will always ship her with Chaol ❤️ *virtual high five*
XD
I had that image in my head the whole time as well xD lol
Before Sorscha dies i was like: KILL SORSCHA! KILL SORSCHA!! hahaha i felt like the evil King for a second.
KJ May why?you are a Monster 😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
Im team Chaol, but now is Rowan, ROWAN IS LIFE!!!!
Also I want to see some more Chaol and Dorian friendship
I SHIP ROWAN AND CELAENA SO BADLY!!! WHY IS 2015 SO FAR AWAY!!! BY THE WAY KAT YOU'RE AWESOME!!
Your know, the whole wyvern thing is so annoying because in my mind they were Bulls with wings and I looked it up but the image of bulls won't leave my head -_-
I'm having the same problem!
Thank god i'n not the only one !
I know right
The last chapter with Manon, the one with the war games, surprised me when it came because it had been so long since we had read from her POV that I forgot she was a thing in the book because I was so focused on Celaena and Rowan and our million other problems
Best things that happened in the book: Sorscha's death,flower-loving Abraxos, Aelin's awesome fire, hot hot Aedion, and hot hot Rowan ..
#TeamRowaena
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS DETAILED REVIEW!! I finished reading this book 2 years ago and now I'm finally going to read Queen of Shadows. This helped me remember all the important parts so I can understand what's going on in Queen of Shadows!
Manon was your least favorite storyline?! Because I could just not get enough of her chapters. Manon's point of view was my favorite to read about. The whole plot with the Ironteeth Witches was just really fascinating to me!
Oh and what if Celaena's ring is actually a wyrd key?
I love her too. I cried when she died I knew she would but It killed me. I just want everyone to happy! Is that so wrong!??!?
U like your long replying kat love your vids
I reread all the books, and now I feel so empty! XD
Now, I 'm just rewatching all throne of glass series booktalks. So much fun! I love your book talks (actually.... I just love all of your videos ❤️).
You are my fav booktuber ever, you can put a smile on my face anytime.
I love you!
Love your review. I definately struggled with reading Celaena's self-loathing, at this point I was really attached to her as well and had to read it in small parts to cope with the emotional stress xD
I ship either Dorian and Celeana or Rowan and Celaena!
THANK GOODNESS A BOOKTUBE HAS FINALLY POSTED A REVIEW ON THIS. I read the arch this summer so I've been dying to find someone who's read it
Your eyes look so pretty in this vid like goals
Best book of the year to me! We Were Liars actually got dethroned from that seat. D:
But everything you said, I agreed. Dorian, oh man. My fav character and I still feel that he and Celaena will be the end game? The collar incident made me hesitate about that because I'm afraid he will be turned into one of the soulless and dark warriors for the king. But IF he has that hope inside of him(him and Celaena are the only two characters written with the hope they are to bring for their people), his soul will not die out just like the other warriors.
one of my very favorite parts in the book is when rowan lends celeana his magic when she breaks free of the Valg princes and accepts who she is
The Aelin an Aedion reunion has to happen!!!
I really loved Manon and Rowan. ^^ But of course, team Celaena Aelin Elentiya ALL THE WAY.
I really liked the Manon's point of view too, definitely after she fell into the pit with Titus
*dances*
Actually, Chaol decided to take a stand when Sorscha was killed and Dorian's life was on the line
Side note: just got daughter of smoke and bone and I'm loving it 😍 hope you're proud☺️
What if Chaol and Manon get together?!?!?! Yes!!!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱
Okay... That sounds beautiful.
Celaena and Dorian need to get together and then I want this to happen.
YAS.
Oh my gosh yes, cause Dorian and Aelin/Celeana neeeed to be endgame so they can reunite their two countries.
Jenna Dople YYYYYYAAAAASSSSS
Three years later and I am now Rowan/Aelin trash.
QUEEN OF SHADOWS
MANON IS AMAZING I HAVENT EVEN READ QUEEN OF SHADOWS BUT SHE AND ABRAXOS ARE AMAZING WHO ARE YOU
I absolutely LOVED Manon's story line.
Manon was Everything i geniuenly would groan when we switched from manon storyline to chaol and others there were times i was like, "make the whole story about manon " and then rowan and calaena grew on me there platonic but not platonic relationship absolutely loved it. but MANON.
yup i agree with u 12:45
Team Dorain
i love him so much for celeana
I absolutely LOVE Heir of Fire. I'm marathoning the series now. I already finished the Assassin's Blade and I'm now on Throne of Glass. P.S. can we just take a moment to admire the Heir of Fire cover? I think this series has the most beautiful covers of all. I can't wait for the next book.
The ending to this book, was cruel! 😭😭😭😭
got inspired to read books more often because of you and polandbananas xoxo
I didn't like Sorscha but I felt really bad for Dorian when she died, I was like 'NO DORIAN BABY'.
just finished this..it definantly was amazing
Can't wait to read this book!
I bet there will be some Rowan/Dorian/Chaol conflict in the next book.
#TEAMCELORIAN !!!
I just finished it (only came out in England on the 11th) and it was the BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!! I actually really liked the Dorian Sorscha relationship, I was happy that Dorian was happy with her and I cried, no spoilers, but you know why I cried
ROWAN AND CELAENA = MY OTP... Just saying
(Also really looking forward to discussing this more with you during the liveshow!!)
Oh BTW I've TOTALLY been pronouncing Manon wrong... haha I actually looked up this video where Sarah J. Maas talks about the synopsis of Heir of Fire and you've been pronouncing it right, I was wrong! ua-cam.com/video/ouLZAi4ZM0A/v-deo.html
I've also pronounced Wyvern wrong though... Wiv-vern... opps. At least I have the rest of the names right haha... You have to admit, some of her names are pretty hard to pronounce though. I mean, she even knows it because she posted a pronunciation chart for Throne of Glass on her blog.. lol
But about Heir of Fire...
Like he helped build her back up and I love that no matter what, I really believe that they are going to be like besties forever... haha
Okay this was way too long... we will talk more on the 27th... haha
i feel that an entier series about manon would be pretty awesome
Don't know if I'm late but CONGRATS ON 100K SUBSCRIBERS! You're so awesome =D
IT LOOKS SO GOOD AHH
******SPOILERS*********
They explained Maeve's ring in the book.
Ye she knows but she ment is that later on she'll probably will use it for bad and its going to effect Terrasson amensly
I have the first 3 books and I can't wait to start reading them. I'm finishing up another series at the moment, I'm so far behind.
Gosh! I'm team Dorian too! I ship them! ❤️🙈
And I'm here shipping Rowan and Celaena....currently reading Heir of Fire and now I'm leaving because SPOILERS WHOOOOOOOP
Also: SAAAAAAAAM *CRIES*
Okay..bye haha I WILL BE BACK
I am so glad I'm not the only one who didn't like Dorian ans Sorcha.... THIS BOOK WAS SO EPIC THOUGH.
Ok I was so hoping that Chaol would be in the flash back and it would be like...awesome!
I'm currently reading heir of Fire, about 120 pages in, and so far I still like com better.
plus look at the hints (i think): dorian's magic is ice, celeana's is fire, she finally became sorta "queen", dorian (like chaol said) was starting become more like "king", they both got magic, they both lost SOMEONE they love ,and yea:)
Sarah said for Queen Of Shadows that Celaena and Manon meet up- and there were a lot of steamy parts. So Dorian? Chaol? Rowan?
Chaol and Dorian makes me almost as happy as Rowan and Celaena or Chaol and Celaena
yay new video
I'm so glad, you didn't like Sorscha and Dorian either, like WHAT WAS THIS????!
I also want Celaena to end up with Dorian and she is my favorite character.
Yesssss so do I
Dorian and Sorcha were perfect together. I loved it, and I was so angry when she died. Really angry.
OMG THIS IS SO EXCITING. I have to wait until october to do the booktalk :( sigh at my life.
KAT! You should read the Books of the Order series by Philippa Ballantine! I love the series and I think you would like it too!
I need to finish crown of midnight so I can read this. There is just no question!!!! x
Oh my Goood!! I agree with you.. Dorian and Sorsha, NO, please Stop, NOOO!!! Buuuut Dorian and Celaena? Also no, Come on. It's Celaena e Chaol
I liked sorscha with Dorian because she made him so happy and I almost cried when she got beheaded because of Dorian's reaction.
and I also ship Celaena and Aedion because their memories together were so adorable.
Mah-non? I always thought Man- on. These names are killing me!
Are you going to read the three Novella books to the series? If you do could you do a review on them as well!
THANK YOU for pronouncing "Wyvern" properly!
Queen of Shadows was above all my favorite out of the series :)
BEST SERIES EVERRRR GREAT REVIEW
I am so glad I'm not the only one who has this weird thing for Aelin and Aedion getting together. Though I'm ok with anybody else, except Dorian.
Yes I agree I'm team CELANA I just want them all to be Happy
