Good review.. Personally i have test driven most of these cars (except the Mazda and Toyota) + Model Y, Audi Q4 etron, Lyriq, Rivian and Genesis GV70. Will need to keep the last 3 in a different segment due to their price. The best one is Genesis GV70 hands down. From the rest my favorite is Kia EV6.
From a 2023 Chattanooga built iD.4 Pro S owner, that was a fair assessment. We bought it for comfort, price, and practicality. It excels in those departments. That said, it was a mistake to not cover the Model Y which is obviously a car that will be considered by anyone shopping in this segment. Omitting the Model Y suggests bias and calls the credibility of this channel in to question imho.
@@wolflarson71ok I see your point and Ive always liked Volvo. The ex30 is not bad especially in black. But I don't know. Something's not setting well. The ex30 is awfully cheap for a Volvo.

Tesla doesn’t do marketing. So no press cars. Most Model Y reviews I’ve seen online are borrowed cars from actual owners or bought as long term test vehicles. Though these guys could have rented one from Hertz.

No, they aren’t uniformly “better” and “cheaper” is often a false friend. But hey, if you like rolling spyware, go for it. The CCP thanks for the cash and endorsement.
Crash certification requirements and market size is probably the reason. Maybe there are a few that would be worthwhile but some of them seem to fold pretty badly in crashes that you see on UA-cam.
How is that Mustang an SUV???? And I get Elon Musk use a raging A-hole, but where is the Tesla Y in all this? The Ioniq looks like a VW Golf hatchback.
Not a fan of it. We borrowed one for a couple of days and I couldn't get used to having everything controlled via the central ipad. The suspension had a weird mix of crashy and wallow-y and the interior was bland at best. We finally got our EV6 GT-Line AWD in the summer and couldn't be happier.
@@Portareaf My wireless Android Auto via a Carlinkit 2air adapter has been solid so far, for both myself and my wife. The marginally less range (rated 474km vs 532km - though in reality I can get over 500 regularly and Tesla has a class action suit against it for inflated stated ranges) is made up for by the fact that I get faster DC fast-charging if I need it (234kW for an extended periods vs 210kw for a few seconds on the Y). And there are far more 350kw CCS stations on Vancouver Island than Superchargers (two V1 @ 100kW and one new V3 @ 250kW). It's not their fault that Tesla doesn't have a PR department for them to contact and get a loaner car. Or that one wasn't available for the comparison. Maybe next time they could use your Model Y.
PAY ATTENTION NOW --- YOU'VE BEING LIED TO ALL THE TIME: A new study found that fueling electric vehicles costs roughly $17 per gallon. In its paper "Overcharged Expectations: Unmasking the True Costs of Electric Vehicles," the Texas Public Policy Foundation stipulated that the hidden costs of fueling EVs drastically outweigh its low upfront fueling costs. The hidden costs come from an increased burden on the energy grid exerted by charging stations, and an enormous amount of federal subsidies.

Thanks for the reply. We were not able to acquire a Model Y for testing. We were able to rent a Model 3 for an upcoming comparison later this week.
Seems like the Mazda should have been a plug-in hybrid.
Hey guys, nice review. Just have several misses in the videomix department, showing the wrong car.
Is there an available solution to recharge is you run out range on the road... Like when a friend (or a tow) could bring you 5 gallons of gas?
Funny how they quickly jump passed the ridiculous price of the Ford Mach e.
We picked up our 2023 Mach E GT 2 weeks ago for $47,340
Id4 and niro are the ones id pick but with style ioniq 6 cuz the retro style
To me it all comes down to price vs features
Which vehicle delivers the least jarring bumps on bad roads?
Maybe the ID.4 or the Ioniq 5. I hear the BZ4X has a nice ride as well.
Why do electric cars have to be so ugly?
Everyone of these cars seem like something an older person would drive.
