Though I never knew George and never even had opportunity to see George in concert, the overall feeling I get from "ALL" that performed that I would have wanted to play as well.
I have the DVD of this concert and I am so amazed at all the love that went into the performances for this gig...Infact, this wasn't a "GIG", This was a gathering of LOVE and I seriously feel that in my heart and many times it draws tears out of me while watching.
There is ONE thing that I thought about...Whatever Bob Dylans reasons were that he was not there, I can just bet that John Lennon (Rip) would have been there if he were still around.

It’s probably bc Clapton is in the thumbnail, it’s really trendy for people to hate on him at the moment.
I think what’s happened is the last year or two anytime he says anything dumb about some of the recent pandemic stuff people will dig up an old and already apologized and made right story of him saying some dumb misinformed and bad takes on race related stuff at the time, saying the word “wogs”(derogatory term) and such, granted and no excuse but he’d be the first to admit this was when he was at the lowest point in his life in terms mid 70s when he was all coked out and drunk. He has since apologized for that and has lived a life that has exhibited his learning from that time. There’s a lot of rock stars that have done a lot worse that have never made it right or sought forgiveness but bc it’s not documented and people seem only to remember the good stuff they for whatever reason don’t give Clapton lately the benefit of being a human being who learned from his errors and has made right the wrongs in his life to the best of his ability, the most anyone could ask for anyone else.
Though of course, I could be wrong about that reason, there are also just losers who love to hate anything Beatles related bc they see them as overrated but I just see those people as undereducated about the history and their importance on rock and popular music let alone culture and society as a whole.
Peace and Love to you and yours and everyone reading this :)

Got to stay strong after surviving Covid-19 in California USA....it was 3 and 1 half years ago, thank-you to God and to George Harrison, and to myself for fighting an uphill battle for my life for clasping onto love, and keeping my memory, for helping to remind me of what i came here to find, its Love, not losing sight of a happy future for myself... literally listened to Beatles cassettes of hard days night and Rubber soul my first two tapes from 1997, all the time until Rubber soul got so beat up that it wouldn't play anymore, then my two tape Walkmans broke down almost 20 years ago, then I bought CDs of everything I could manage to purchase by the Beatles and also any George Harrison CDs I still have them all and also pre owned CDs not just new unopened ones, after i got my first CD Walkman in 2001 re release on CDs in around 2009 got My first Walkman tape player when I turned 9 years old, in 1999 wow so been listening majority of my lifetime, when i was readmitted to the hospital as i suffer from PTSD and i am also on the spectrum of Asberger autism also Adhd inattentive type while being bed ridden there unable to talk, in 2015 for 10 days, all I remember is literally trying to swim out of this sinking feeling of pain and a broken heart 💔 over a nice woman i fell in love with in band rehearsal during my 2nd year in JR College, around 2012, and i would tell myself that the movement i needed to swim to safety was on my shoulder from singing hey jude to myself quietly, and in turn would think of George Harrison song's always in my consciousness remembered him for being what he was an unstoppable person and unbeatable unyielding source of good vibes and peaceful happiness, very similar to my life, though it is what my opinion Is..... i will never discredit anyone true including myself, praying to the Lord to "give me hope and help me cope with this heavy load trying to touch and reach you with such heart and soul" and to "give me love love give me love give me peace on earth" a great song that really helped me heal myself back to good health, just by hearing the words. I felt so much gratitude for everything coming together for being inspirational during some of the most uncomfortable moments in my entire life including holding to hope when the tide surged in on me at the beach and nearly got washed away into a rip current, so many flash backs from that time been going off ever since...... before I went to the hospital the 1st time, before the lithium poisoning I had suffered from being readmitted and prescribed the bad drug combination, I will send a big thank you thank you to you George Harrison, but I gotta thank him for helping me connect with a higher power up above first, praise the good lords name and never forget my lesson's I have learnt the hardest way possible probably, and I've always listened to the amazing CDs in my collection im building,..... over and over, and over i listen, I still have every CD, and keep better care of them now, I feel like somethings are always worth fighting for and to try to have even more patience in my life because my payment has just happened last night in the form of a positive message recieved in good faith to believe in myself and will continue to gjve thanks and praise to the lord and keep fighting the good fight, George Influenced my life's recovery, it came from within me has been so positive and helped me so much to get this far..... this is love.... though praises for the struggles Ive dealt with will now be celebrated, with time will be increased starting from this moment on I won't be so hard on myself anymore.... the light has been revealed to me now.... life rolls onwards, ...let it Roll far into the future, because Love itself alone the ultimate Truth... ♥️

And i remember staying up late that night/early morning hours doing some work with Vh1 playing in the background when they announced that George had died after a long battle with cancer and i remember being shocked and cried. This world is so messed up we need music to escape our favorite musicians become be important as family almost.. The songs.. The voices that we relate too. Tells the story of our lives. When we have to start Losing those special people too. Sure makes living a lot less special

Natan Skorput agree with your sentiment but Ray Cooper is anything BUT underrated by the music community. He quite literally bats invitations away from serious musicians to play with them. It’s said the only musician he will never turn down is Eric Clapton.
