The only Beatle not caught up in egos. George's connection to all life is a legacy not many can achieve. Thanks for all the beauty you left in this world, George. Love and miss you...
George struggled with both sides of his character, and he certainly had an ego, like all of us do. Watch "Living In the Material World", or read "I Me Mine". get the full story on the 'quiet one'. A great man either way.
Yes! His vocal and most specially his guitar, made his versions of george's songs are just greatly enjoyable as george's version if not better :) His version of Something (thanks to Paul for nice ukulele and duet vocal), While My Guitar Sweeps (also thankyou Paul), and Isn't It A Pity (Preston is truly fantastic) in Concerr For George are so nice that I gave more listen to those than original one. I think george and eric had the most similar or maybe the most complement passion based on how they were so close, then clash then close again like greatest friend ever. :D
Amazing to think that Clapton and Harrison caused each other "so much pain" - and over a woman! But they found the grace to forgive and get through it...
I didn't know George personally. Yet my heart weeps for his loss. Eric Clapton knew George. I can't imagine how much he mourns him. Beautiful tribute. I can feel his love for George in every note and phrase of his guitar solo.
This is an INCREDIBLE version!!! It feels like Eric is really into the song and the love for George in every note and chord. Thanks Eric for this loving tribute!
Wow, what a beautiful version of this underappreciated song. Others may play faster and louder, but no one can put more emotion into each note than Clapton does when he plays.
nessuno sul pianeta terra può suonare così la chitarra ogni stilla sonora è tirata fuori fino all' ultimo questa è grande musica ok mister Clapton nulla da dire weell done
This song is nothing to do with Pattie Boyd or Eric Clapton, George wrote it in 1966 before Eric and Pattie had even met! Why do people spread ill informed bullshit?
@Kris Radke what is really sad is you take something like a beautiful version of a beautiful song and inject your own opinions that have no basis for proof.
Thats what I always admired about Clapton. On stage he does his thing never trying to be flashy. In concerts with other greats you see him standing at the back doing his magic not seeking the spotlight. Watch the tribute to Dylan for example
George, always ahead of the game. he wrote this song in the mid sixties, but the rest of The Beatles didn't think it made the grade. Isn't it a pity indeed.
One of my favorite George songs and Eric certainly does it justice. And Doyle's slide is pretty spot on too. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that Doyle plays with the strings upside down. He's one of a very small group.
Such a beautiful rendition of a George Harrison classic! The two young ladies singing backup vocals sound out of this world fantastic!! Almost dream like 😎
ERIC CLAPTON IS THE MAN!!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH ONE OF THE BEST GUITARISTS & PLAYS THE BLUES! I SO VERY SORRY WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS SON!! THAT WAS TERRIBLE BUT HE PUT WHAT HAPPENED INTO HIS MUSIC & WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SONG CAME OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!!!! TEARS IN HEAVEN!! HE IS SO HANDSOME & TALENTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, because regarding his believe as a practitioner of Hindu tradition god called him home at the right time. Now George's soul gets ready for another incarnation. His music will remain! Your thought is typical for christianity, the jewish or the muslim tradition.
George Harrison ... the armonious one ... great musician .. one of the best ever .... on his guitar keyboard a mild soul with an exceptional musical culture ... every song's written by You is a little big masterpiece ... we have taken this acknowledgement too much late ... we had been so stupid ....... sorry Sir George indeed, and Rest In Peace everywhere you are .. during Your masterpieces's listening, our eyes aren't dry but our souls are flying and meeting You
Isn't it a pity, now, isn't it a shame How we break each other's hearts and cause each other pain How we take each other's love, without thinking anymore Forgetting to give back, isn't it a pity Some things take so long but how do I explain Not too many people, can see we're all the same And because of all the tears, their eyes can't hope to see The beauty that surrounds them, isn't it a pity Isn't it a pity, isn't is a shame How we break each other's hearts and cause each other pain How we take each other's love, without thinking anymore Forgetting to give back, isn't it a pity Forgetting to give back, isn't it a pity Forgetting to give back, now, isn't it a pity Oh, what a pity, what a pity, pity, pity Oh, what a pity, what a pity, pity, pity Oh, what a pity, what a pity, pity, pity ...
@@deanmindock5020 Nina's rendition is beyond reality, it is impossible not te be deeply touched by it. And yes, weeping is unavoidable. The sadness, but also the hope and tremendous empathic beauty will touch everyone.
Everyone mentioning Paul's drummer Abe who is in fact wonderful but I haven't seen to many mentions for Willie Weeks on bass who was also on a few George albums. Kudos to Willie as well.
Hello to Japan... Thank's for your comentario. Two great people - George and Eric... that's Musik pur. I'm an old german man and I'm living since a lot of years in the Carib. You can answer me to: pgiebfried390@gmail.com - ok?!
There is a great story behind this song. George tried to get it on one of their Beatles albums. But Clapton was included in the second version with George, and he has mastered it ever since.
A heartfelt & inspired version of 1 of George's best tunes, imo. I see Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums & Doyle Bramhall on guitar. A mighty fine kick-ass band too.
I don’t see what’s so great - maybe if you don’t steal your friend’s wife there’s none of those problems to go through. The pair of them treated Pattie Boyd/Harrison/Clapton equally awfully…
Eric is so smooth...This song epitomizes what a great blues man he is and what talent he and his band have. I think the bassist is Willie Weeks instead of Nathan East and Doyle Bramhall II is a great second string slinger. The backups are great as always and Chris Stanton(?) on the keys is always a presence.
Emocionante ao extremo! Uma interpretação cheia de sentimento, que só poderia ser feita por alguém que capaz de cantar com carinho e emoção uma canção de seu melhor amigo. É difícil ter uma homenagem tão linda e singela!
The only Beatle not caught up in egos. George's connection to all life is a legacy not many can achieve. Thanks for all the beauty you left in this world, George. Love and miss you...
Ringo no ego

and the quite one he was a good bass player next to McCartney
@@walrusdarko9596 Correct. Huge heart though.
My sweet George , world 🌎 was a better place with him in it ..
Eric clapton... The only one that may sing George' song so well..
One of the very few living artists fit to perform a Harrison song.
True!
👍🏼

agree 100000000000000000000000000000000000% Still enjoy the Original Song by George from his old but fantastic album of the same title.
The Three Degrees version of this song blew this out of the water....but....they were three black girls, so....no one paid attention to it...
Amazing to think that Clapton and Harrison caused each other "so much pain" - and over a woman! But they found the grace to forgive and get through it...
They didn't, Michael.....there was no animosity at all!!!!
Apparently it was their lovely wife who received the most pain. Ended as friends, they say.
the way eric clapton plays.. it's like he never gets old..
He gets old , his fingers don't
Man,he just nails it here. Such beautiful playing.
Thank God.
I didn't know George personally. Yet my heart weeps for his loss.
Eric Clapton knew George. I can't imagine how much he mourns him.
Beautiful tribute. I can feel his love for George in every note and phrase of his guitar solo.
He also knew George’s wife, a bit too well.
This is an INCREDIBLE version!!! It feels like Eric is really into the song and the love for George in every note and chord. Thanks Eric for this loving tribute!
The drummer is Paul McCartney's drummer, Abe.
Steve K, I started to ask about the drummer prior to seeing your comment.
yeah, you can't really miss that guy, can you?
Dude's a powerhouse. Saw Paul in Chicago. Really lays the foundation.
And Beatles songs don't hurt either. aha

Clapton is one of a few players you can detect with only one note heard. Viva Clapton!
maybe my favourite thing I've seen Eric do in a long while
oh George...
What a beautiful version of George's song,so masterfully done. This is the reason the guitar was invented.
It's not the guitar, it's the guitarist.
Wow!!! Who can give justice to this song for George Harrison but Eric...😢❤
Beauty and then some...😮
God bless you, Eric. One of George's closest friends. Just a beautiful version of a beautiful song.

People do that every day ! Good job in bringing it to light Clive !

Eric looks exactly like some middle aged man driving to work in a normal shirt... He rocks! Long live Clapton
One with a hundred million bucks in the bank lol

Clapton is rock's greatest guitarist. He plays so cleanly, not for note and chord for chord. He makes it look it effortless.
Jeff Beck is on a level above old Clappers.
George, always ahead of the game. he wrote this song in the mid sixties, but the rest of The Beatles didn't think it made the grade. Isn't it a pity indeed.
Eric loved George so much.
Eric really did and in return George loved him too. They shared a very rare and unbreakable bond, truly beautiful.

a stunning and moving rendition of George's song, Eric Clapton left a piece of his heart on that stage that night.
Performed about 8 years after George died. And I’m watching this about 8 years after it was performed. 16 years ago we lost a legend
And I am reading your reply five years after you posted it....George is no less loved now. Thank you.

Something about Clapton singing Harrison songs that does it for me.
Isnt it a pity, Isnt it a shame.......how George isnt physically with us anymore?
His music still remain till the end of time. George achieved the eternity

Stunning. I never knew. Eric really really captures what George was feeling I think. Beautiful and true to heart Solos. Thank Eric & band.

George admittedly wrote this for and about Pattie Boyd. Beautifully done Eric!
Breaks my heart. RIP dear George. ❤️

Wonderful version of George’s song. Thank you Eric! Nice to see Abe from Paul McCartney’s band on drums, one of the best.

Look at the emotion he puts on the solo. He's just like a kid full of joy. That's beauty.

A heartfelt & inspired version of 1 of George's best tunes, imo. I see Abe Laboriel Jr. on drums & Doyle Bramhall on guitar. A mighty fine kick-ass band too.
Some mighty fine musicians playing a mighty fine song.
Monstruo de la música! Desde el primer acorde llegas al alma! Un lujo el tema de George Harrison! Inmortal, emocionante y lleno de ternura!
oh my god i love this
George Harrison, RIP. Your music is from the Heaven! This is the third-best song of all time with Something and My Guitar. Awesome!!!!
It takes a special type of greatness to through what those two guys got through and stay friends to the end

A fine tribute to George. Eric always acknowledged Harrison's ability. Cheers Eric.

George would be over the moon!
The build on this is fantastic
Wonderfully done... We miss you George 💔 RIP

thanks, great performance

Amazing, if i ever get the chance to meet my Hero, I'll probably faint dead at his feet :) Love you Eric for doing this song.
Beautiful tribute to his best friend. This made me weep a bit (no pun intended).
