I’m just learning this at 43
I did everything in my two marriages. Now I have a respectful relationship but I’ve learned to not make myself a priority to him. When I withdrew he came to me. I withdrew because I found myself doing everything again. I won’t anymore. I’m just going to do my own things. And I’ll go to him when I want to instead of seeing that he isn’t coming to me. And he’ll come to me when he wants to.

In my case, I decided to leave just one time - and one time only - never to return. I was the scapegoat of a very abusive narcissistic family who treated me terribly and contemptuously. Eleven years ago, I went no-contact with all of them and never looked back. It was the absolute best relationship decision I have ever made in my life. Like they say, you never know a good thing until it’s gone; and I’m sure they regret losing me. These days I’m practicing the art of non-attachment - I enjoy people and things without being attached to them. It’s very liberating. Peace to all. ☮️✌️

Some find it very difficult to cut family members off. However when they treat you with NO respect because of their emotional problems or whatever their problems are it is very easy to just walk away. My brother was the scapegoat and treated very badly by my father. He left when he was 16. My father had no one to take care of him during the pandemic and moved in with me and my family. After the pandemic he started looking for a place to live. Then he became very unappreciative about all we had done for him he is 92 now.
Complains about anything he can think of . He is leaving in a week or so and I doubt I will ever see him again. He will be with in about an hour from me . But his showing such rudeness and disrespect. I have loss all concern for him .
So I know you and I and many others have put up with unnecessary crap from family.

I grew up in a broken home that taught me to accept other peoples bad treatment and behavior toward me. That carried over into an 11 1/2 year broken marriage. I thought that was all I deserved, and she would always affirm that by mistreating me and betraying me enough finally became enough. Now several years after I am free, I am self-respecting. Another people respect me because I demand it. I no longer except being treated as a list than in my life is so much happier. Now I’m moving out of this rut and onto to Sevilla Spain to begin a new life adventure with a woman who truly loves me for who I am not my net worth.

As a man who is in his late 40s, I learned most of these lessons, the hard way with a lot of pain. I wish that someone had sat down and had this conversation with me 25 years ago. I’d probably be a lot happier than I am now. This video if anything else was a reminder and wake up call that I need to make some serious changes in my personal life. It’s going to suck, but I’ll be better for in the end.

I have a song in my channel called “my refusal” basically refusing to follow these types of rules because I like to give my all until nothing is left: so my relationships have been that I do the opposite of all this until I just leave with them chasing me to come back but it’s too late for them by that point. Oh, yes. precise, without too much of the unnecessarily to convey what is important in our relationships. Being a victim of the worst childhood relationships, I know how much energy do I need to unlearn what has put in my entire nervous system, in order to have the pleasure to know what a sane, balanced, relationship is. I do struggle everyday. I only have one or two healthy relationships and have to understand that I might loose them for many reasons out of my control.I am one of the persons that lost its identity in any relation. Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to move on, I really loved her so much i can’t stop thinking about her and the memories we shared. I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail. I’m frustrated, and i don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts, but i can’t. This come timely. Brutal and honest truth is what i really need as am about to make a long distance call to person who always ghosted me, makes everything is my faults and abandoning myself in order to please him. I do love him but i gotta learn to love myself too this time to choose myself instead being a doormat. Thank you for these harsh truth , i know I'll be missing him but i need to respect myself more .
