I’m just learning this at 43
I did everything in my two marriages. Now I have a respectful relationship but I’ve learned to not make myself a priority to him. When I withdrew he came to me. I withdrew because I found myself doing everything again. I won’t anymore. I’m just going to do my own things. And I’ll go to him when I want to instead of seeing that he isn’t coming to me. And he’ll come to me when he wants to.

In my case, I decided to leave just one time - and one time only - never to return. I was the scapegoat of a very abusive narcissistic family who treated me terribly and contemptuously. Eleven years ago, I went no-contact with all of them and never looked back. It was the absolute best relationship decision I have ever made in my life. Like they say, you never know a good thing until it’s gone; and I’m sure they regret losing me. These days I’m practicing the art of non-attachment - I enjoy people and things without being attached to them. It’s very liberating. Peace to all. ☮️✌️

Some find it very difficult to cut family members off. However when they treat you with NO respect because of their emotional problems or whatever their problems are it is very easy to just walk away. My brother was the scapegoat and treated very badly by my father. He left when he was 16. My father had no one to take care of him during the pandemic and moved in with me and my family. After the pandemic he started looking for a place to live. Then he became very unappreciative about all we had done for him he is 92 now.
Complains about anything he can think of . He is leaving in a week or so and I doubt I will ever see him again. He will be with in about an hour from me . But his showing such rudeness and disrespect. I have loss all concern for him .
So I know you and I and many others have put up with unnecessary crap from family.

As a man who is in his late 40s, I learned most of these lessons, the hard way with a lot of pain. I wish that someone had sat down and had this conversation with me 25 years ago. Oh, yes. precise, without too much of the unnecessarily to convey what is important in our relationships. Being a victim of the worst childhood relationships, I know how much energy do I need to unlearn what has put in my entire nervous system, in order to have the pleasure to know what a sane, balanced, relationship is. So there is a saying now in psychology. U have two types of love. Conditional love and unconditional love. Self-love is the aspect of all things because if u haven't got it, how u supposed to give it. Empathy and apathy are one in between. So, too fully create the place you want, you must connect yourself to your passionate dreams. Find it in yourself to go forward but not for people pleasing or for centre needs. For you and you only. For you hold a key.
All love is conditional when you're looking for someone else to love you, however you loving yourself is the only unconditional love out there. You can't reasonably expect another to love you unconditionally not even your parents could do that, god doesn't even do that when you look at the actual words & in bible actions god takes on others he loves extremely conditionally its the first thing he states in the bible.

This 20 minutes taught me more than I've learned on my own in my 43 years I know i have mastered some already, but when I apply the principals taught here-starting tomorrow morning my life is going to be even more valuable not only to me but everyone who I affect on the daily I have a serious crush on someone I'm not dumb enough to be a love sick puppy yapping at there heels, although I was finding myself beginning to make them th3 centre of my universe that ends now. I use life changing equipment at work and a few times ive been off my game over thinking shit.Mastering emotions is hard but essential, I don't want to play games but psychology is all part of being a successful person but definitely putting myself first is what I'm all about starting at 6 am, this channel is dapper and has probably saved me a body part thankyou ❤
