Thank you Jay and Tim for an awesome review and lots of learning points for some of us who are running dots but have not had that particular training yet. You guys rock! Looking forward to training with you soon.

I haven't taken the instructor version of this class, but I took RDP with Don up in KY last year. Great class, and Don is a top notch instructor.

I took Fighting pistol with Tim and Jay, I brought my sexy Glock 19 with it's red dot sight and found out that no matter how you dress em a Glock 19 is still the fat girl that will cook and clean and love you all night long! All kidding aside it isn't until you have that Aha moment that the dot appears in your normal view of your target that you understand the red dot. A lot goes into that and this is where most of us fail. You "MUST" practice the fundamentals of drawing your weapon, when it becomes consistent then the rest falls into place and you stop searching for the dot. It will just be there! Thanks to the best training in the country, and two of the best instructors out there!

The Trijicon RMR and SRO optics are very tough. My oldest is a holosun 507c gen 1 that shockingly has held up very well. That slide has over 6k rds through it.

Did you just say red dots on pistols are a “new thing”? No, not “new” at all. Describe what you mean by “new”. What time frame do you consider “new”. I know guys that have been using pistol optics for 15 years now. I don’t consider that “new”. Maybe you meant new to you.
