The answer to the bomb with the gallons of water goes like this: 1. Fill the 5 gallon bottle all the way. 2. Then use that to fill the 3 gallon bottle all the way. That will leave you with 2 gallons in the 5 gallon bottle. 3. Empty the 3 gallon bottle completely. 4. Pour the remaining 2 gallons from the 5 gallon bottle into the 3 gallon bottle. 5. Fill the 5 gallon bottle completely. You now have a full 5 gallons in the 5 gallon bottle and 2 gallons in the 3 gallon bottle, leaving 1 gallon of empty space in the 3 gallon bottle. Pour 1 gallon of water using the empty space in the 3 gallon bottle to measure. Leaving you with exactly 4 gallons in the 5 gallon bottle. ..... My nose is bleeding.
@@PaulOdontknow Yours works the other doesn't just based on the fact that the 3 gallon and 5 gallon have different volumes so using the empty space in the 3 gallon as a measurement compared to the 5 gallon wouldn't be accurate. Whereas yours is significantly more so.
@@nevaladder However the AMOUNT of water does change depending on the volume of the container. If you put a 3 gallon and a 5 gallon next to one another and fill them both to half full.
