Lyrics
Everyone's watching
To see what you will do
Everyone's looking at you
Oh
Everyone's wondering
Will you come out tonight
Everyone`s trying
To get it right
Get it right
Everybody's working for the weekend
Everybody wants a little romance
Everybody's going off the deep end
Everybody needs a second chance
Oh
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby
Let`s go
Everyone's looking
To see if it was you
Everyone wants you to come through
Everyone's hoping
It'll all work out
Everyone's waiting
They`re holding out
Hey
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby
Let's go
You want a piece of my heart
You better start from start
You wanna be in the show
Come on, baby

This is probably the best song in recorded history. I will never get tired of hearing Working For The Weekend,
I still get excited when this song comes on the radio….. like today!!!!🎉❤❤❤❤
I was in college in 2002, in a bar, 19 years old, getting drunk on our fake ID's. I put a $10 bill in the jukebox. That got a lot of songs back then. I played Loverboy Working for the Weekend every single play of that $10. When the song came on, you could see people nodding there heads, getting into it. No one noticed the second time it played. The thrid time people started looking around getting angry. The plug was behind the machine hanging on the wall, no one could stop it. IT was a solid 45 minutes or so of Working for the Weekend, over and over. One of my life's greatest accomplishments.
Where were you at because I’m the United States you have to be 21 years old or older to enter a bar and get drunk.

For another 100 years these classics will be played and listened by millions. This song is from the Golden era. Those days will never ever come back.
I had the great pleasure of seeing Loverboy at Day on the Green in Oakland...I believe it was 1983. They were with Foreigner and a couple of other groups. What really struck me was how accurate they were live compared to their albums, versus Foreigner who sounded completely different. Foreigner was quite obviously a studio manipulated sound, whereas Loverboy was completely real. Absolutely awesome in concert, and yes, I still listen to them.
You're right! You can see/hear it when they performe live, then you recognice the artits
We don't care
This is always the test.
Mike Reno was hot back then!
Loved Foreigner too, but the more processed bands were the successful ones. Shame.
This song still resonates with me all these years later. Still a great worker's anthem, no matter what job you have. Love 80s rock.
