- NEW Shotgun Announced TODAY! Weatherby Sorix This BRAND NEW shotgun was just announced and we had the opportunity to get hands-on with it before it goes public! The Sorix is a totally new direction for Weatherby's shotgun lineup. We love the upgrades and think that this shotgun could propel the Weatherby name way up in the world of upland and waterfowl shotguns. But to determine that fully, we need to shoot this thing! Leave a comment and let us know if you think that this shotgun is worth considering!

Very cool
Awesome, now dirt can get in from both sides of my shotgun 👍
Haha I was thinking the same thing.
Lmfaoooo
yep first thing ii thought of, mud from both sides, great
As a lefty I’d rather have a lefty model not this thing.
Yea, that's a horrible idea for a waterfowler....
Definitely can’t wait for your review of the Sorix!!
If you get a chance can you review the Fabarm L4S Initial Hunter? There aren't many current reviews on it. Thanks!
Neat looking, but as a lefty it’s not really the bolt handle that bothers me about right handed shotguns it’s the powder in my face…which this will still provide.
Looks awesome, can't wait for the review!
When are you doing a field review of the Sorix?
i want to see the Sorix VS Franchi Affinity...!!!
Everyone has their "Loved" brand. Mine has always been Weatherby. Sometimes there are better guns, but I just love the look and feel of the Weatherby guns.
Looking forward to the review. They look slick.
Cool but if I shot left handed k wouldn’t want the shell and unburnt powder across your face. They should make an actual left hand. To me that slot is just another hole to let more things in the gun that you don’t want in it
Is it a weathernelli?
I think so!
What does that mean? Inertia driven?
@phild9813 it looks identical to an M2. The only difference is the side charger in the looks category.
@@joshbrown7783 exactly what I was thinking
@@phild9813that’s what I got. An appropriate portmanteau, considering that all modern inertia guns are based on Benelli’s design. But the Sorix is made in Italy, by C.D. EUROPE S.R.L./Marocchi.
Oh, hell yeah, I want to see the review!
I think you should try Impala Plus
Yes lets see the review.
Love that dual side bolt handle design!
Sign me up for that one! What a beautiful shotgun! Hell to the yea!
We need a review! Very interested
I would love to get my hands on that gray one.
Lets see ASAP Thanks Buddy
Please review! Was looking to pick up the 18i this year but now the sorix is out!
Would like to see you review the Beretta A400 extreme plus 20 gauge.
Looks like a tricked out M2. It's made in italy so maybe?!?
Looking at this or a weatherby sxs in 20 gauge for ducks and grouse next year. I can’t wait to see this shotgun reviewed
Linda arma excelente weatherby
Still no full review of this gun yet??
Pheasant fest!!!!! Was cool to see ya as you walked in the door!🤣
Steve, do a video on 26in barrel vs 28 (hunting related)
now dirt and water can get in the gun from two sides!
Very good looking gun and looking forward to the review. Interested in seeing how quickly it will cycle on your speed test.
Looks to have a raised rib?
Great Video 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Sharp looking smoke 💨 pole!!
Looks like a great gun
Muy hermosa arma amigo elegante arma magnífica belleza
That is a more refined 18i and that is very good.
I don't like that it has a slit on the other side of receiver...I get the concept but to ME that's just more places for dirt and grass to lodge into.
Looks just like the Stoeger m3000 but with the reciever milled out on the left side for the charging handle
Please review the 20 if available
When are you going to review this thing???
The wood. Every time
Hey, what’s going on whit that vest…?????
I love it
I have question what do you think of the skb shotgun I won one in a 20ga
Slightly raised rib too. I mean not certain why no one has done a few of these given shims on autos
Huge fan of weatherby and a huge fan of benelli can't wait for the review. I will have a new shotgun before duckin and now i have another to consider.
is Weatherby coming out with. gas model?
Can you please review Beretta 687 silver pigeon 3 field version or the game version
GFORCE SHOTGUN REVIEW PLEASE.
Review!!!
Lefty thing seems strange. At the same time why would a slot on the left hurt me. I dont think a wrong handed person would buy it. I could see it being handy in a pinch as i do hunt with a few backward buddies. Also maybe a left handed lady friend that wants to hunt once a year. I dont know cant wait for the review.
Essentially, it’s a much cheaper option to make a left hand version. Typically to make left handed firearms, factories have to shut down and re-tool their machines to make left hand receivers, which is why left hand firearms cost more than their right handed counterparts.
Looks like a want to be sbe2
There’s NO length of pull adjustment just like the 18i, if you cut the stock and glue a pad, they will void your warranty.
Was going to say it looks like the new m2 and has the same butt pad then he said recoil operated.
So is the M2
Hopefully it doesn't pattern high, go "click" instead of firing a round, beat up your thumb, or cost twice as much as it's really worth. LOL
What are we waiting on?!? Let’s Do It!!!!!
Looks like the benelli super black eagle 2 tricked out
Can I take an extension tube
Yes.
Looks great, but looks can be deceiving. I'm looking forward to your hands-on review.
Why do all shotguns come in camo.
I'm a clay shooter, good old fashioned blued steel and walnut are always classic.
Agreed
I have a franchi affinity elite now, but this one caught my eye! Lets see that full review on the Weatherby!
Sure has alot of Benelli features.
I mean at the end of the day everyone’s just trying to copy Benelli… so just buy a Benelli
Is it another turkenelli…?
No. It’s made by C.D. EUROPE S.R.L./Marocchi, which also makes the 18i for Weatherby. Pretty certain that Breda and C.D. EUROPE S.R.L. have manufacturing partnerships.
@@thelastlatchkeykid8466 maybe it’s actually a decent gun? I may have to take a look. I have had really good luck with browning/winchester autos the last 5 years that it’s hard to try something else. Have had issues with beretta, Benelli, and most recently, a mossberg 940 pro waterfowl.
@@avidwaterfowler7522 I guess I should have added that C.D. Europe S.R.L/Marocchi does the Sorix manufacturing in Italy, in the Brescia region. Matter of fact, their factory is less than 2 miles from a Beretta shotgun factory. Marocchi also makes Weatherby’s 18i, which looks exactly like many Breda semi-autos. I don’t know how incestuous these manufacturers are for certain, but it’s likely that there are relationships. In my experience, inertia guns made in Italy are high quality and reliable. But if you’ve had better luck with Browning & Winchester, it sounds like you prefer gas operation anyway. Both the Winchester Sx4 and the Browning Maxus line are made in Browning’s factory in Viana, Portugal. If you want to add a reputable inertia semiautomatic to your quiver while staying away from Benelli/Franchi, or the litany of Turkish mimic guns, the Sorix or the 18i are probably a safe bet based on Weatherby’s warranty and customer service alone. Hell, I bought a Wetherby Element 20 in wood because I wanted an inexpensive dove gun because of Wetherby’s stellar customer service. It’s made in Turkey, and it’s not the Benelli/Franchi aesthetic quality I’m accustomed to in inertia guns. But it has been 100% reliable and I trust Wetherby’s warranty if I ever need support.
That lefty quick change idea is simply foolish for a duck gun- Honestly can't imagine what they were thinking- Maybe they wanted a place to collect additional native soils in the magazine of the gun...
Made in turkey?
Italy
Not even Benelli can pull me away from gas operated guns. But to each there own
inertia guns work fine
@@bb5242 yes they do. Same as pumps same as break actions, doesn’t change my mind about gas being the best.
Have a 930 bought a element waterfowl haven't shot it yet but i like that its lighter
Deleted all the negative comments huh
Sir, please give me one gun 🙏
What good is a left handed bolt without a left handed chamber? So now I have to open the chamber with my left hand, flip the gun over and put a shell in the right side chamber? That is got to be one of the most idiotic ideas I have ever seen. There is no chance in hell that a left handed shooter is going to purchase this and a right handed shooter is not going to want another area where dirt can easily enter and jam up the action. Major failure on Weatherby's part.
Actually, having shot a right handed shotgun as a lefty, while your shotgun is shouldered, your “working space” is is your visual field, making it easier to put a round in the chamber, if need be, without moving your shooting hand. While the opposite is true with an actual left handed shotgun. I have to rotate it in towards my face, and use my shooting hand to put another round in the chamber. The biggest and most important advantage to have a true left hand version of a firearm, is to A) not have spent rounds and powder flying past or possibly into you face and/or arm, and B) if a catastrophic failure occurs, you don’t have all of that potential shrapnel flying into you face and or arm.
@echosierra9990 since when do you load a shell while your gun is shouldered as you state?
@@Peter-976…when I read his post, I didn’t see where he mentioned keeping the gun shouldered
@@Peter-976 It comes in handy during competition, combat shotgun courses, and when hunting waterfowl, particularly snow geese.
That’s the most half @$$ed attempt at a left handed gun I’ve ever seen!
You still have to load it, and it still ejects out the right side of the gun… right across the face of a left handed shooter. Defeating the biggest reasons a left handed shooter would buy a left handed version…
Exactly. And now you have a good sized gap for debris and other junk to get inside of the receiver because of it.
Lost me at inertia
The swappable bolt handle is a stupid gimmick. Who sits in on these meetings and doesn't say something?? Definitely not a gun guy.
WRONG! As a lefty, with a son who’s a lefty, this is exactly what I’m looking for without the unnecessary lefty upcharge.
It is benelli rip off clone nothing exciting
