Thanks you for this! Can you add links to the products? I would appreciate if not too much trouble.

Interesting video. Im' using the OCK-1 from LHY Audio with my R26 and U18. The OCK gives 2 sine wave and 1 square wave output and I feel that both the R26 and U18 benefits from 'syncing' with the masterclock. The K2 synthesizer seems to be doing a good job calculating the 44 or 48khz freq's from the 10M output from the OCK-1. My personal impressions was that the square wave output seems to sound a bit more detailed but somehow compresses the soundstage a little over the sine wave outputs. I have only had the clock on for a week now, but was told that it needs around 4-5 weeks for the OXCO to stabilize. My plan is to run an Etheregen (when i can find one on the 2nd hand market) with the square wave output, and the U18 & R26 on the sine wave output. Can I ask what is the purpose of attenuating the output from the clock by 6db?

It's to pad rf level down and assure syncing clock correctly. 6db attenuator pad level by 50% as claimed.

I have the same combo - U18, R26 & OCK-1 connected to both. Having experienced the benefits of a quality external clock I wouldn't go back. Though I note the benefits can be limited by the quality of the BNC cable(s) used. Gustard C2 cable allows the OCK-1 to bring 2x the audible benefits of just using a generic 50 ohm BNC cable. Now waiting for a second C2. Haven't really critically compared sine vs square, will have to try it.
Edit - OCK-1 + C2 dramatically improves the sound quality of the R26's internal streamer.

      Do you mean you skipped U18? Just OCK-1 + C2+ R26?

I got the OCK-1 with a 10ft length of very high quality LMR400 50 Ohm coax. I have spent a lot of time comparing the external clock to the internal one and am forced to admit- I cannot tell ANY difference with the R26.
      I even put a
      $100 fuse in the Clock.
So-$600 for zero difference- including the $80 coax.

Is to give r26 a boost of around 6db.

This is my first time to know more about the external clock. I've been using R26+U18. Can you show me the connecting diagram among (R26,U18 & the said external clock)? And what kind of cable is used for the connection? Thank you.

Yes Please show us how to connect.

What differences do you hear by adding the U18? How do you connect them and where can get it?

I see there are various versions of this clock from Tabao or Ali Express. Which one is recommended to work with R26 and U18? Connection via BNC? From which unit to which unit?

I'm skeptical and it remains to be heard if adding an external clock will help or hype (I will test) ...I do know this, U18 added to R26 DAC / is not needed because it didn't achieve best sound...I found out using Chrome Cast on my Android Beelink GT-King achieves higher bit rate 48k excellent sound quality... I sent my new ifi zen stream and gustard U18 back...I will invest that money towards a second Rel T7X...Don't do like me and get caught up in the hype...streaming Chrome Cast to R26 is very sweet, detailed, punchy, and a warmth I love when paired with Gustard R26...also I get to see my music streaming on my TV...the phone is only a remote and it streams Tidal straight from Tidal without a 3rd party app😁that is why the higher bit rate and higher sound quality...USE Chrome Cast w/R26 and thank me later; better sound and less money...all these streaming companies devices try to just take your money...I'm keeping it REAL!

have you compared the chromecast to the internal R26 streaming card ? I think my R26 internal stream is good (source Melco N100) but maybe a real streamer would be better
