I think the scientific term is reproducible, but robust is definitely more apt in the audiophile world. I just started watching all of your videos. You are the by far the most articulate audio reviewer, but your impressions are conveyed so thoroughly and clearly that even a novice audiophile can relate to it and get the true essence of the product you are reviewing. This is much easier said than done, but I think your comparative analyses in all of your videos are of so much value when one is deciding which alternative would be the best fit for them. Keep up the awesome work. I have a lot of videos to catch up on, lol.
I have just acquired this device and I completely confirm your opinion. the SU-6 brings a big plus to USB. The use of I2s is relevant, the results are there.
Great job. It was interesting to hear your opinion. About a year ago, I was choosing a pair for the Gustard R26 from several DDC models and settled on the U18. But singer 6 is no worse... Compatibility and design became the determining factor in the end. It seemed to me then that the R26 itself copes well with the signal through the USB port. DDC changed the sound quite noticeably for the better when using the I2S port. What do you think of it. You have already mentioned 2 times in your R26 reviews, when will the review of the R26 DAC be?
Thank you for this very good review of this unit. I most recently bought a Singxe SU-6 and noticed a very significant decrease in Loudness. Can you confirm this with your unit as well?
I don't remember an increase in overall output level, no. It stands out to me that there is increased subbass presence and impact as compared to the SU-2.
Interestingly, I saw a forum post somewhere where a guy claims he emailed Singxer and even Singxer suggested that a linear power supply could potentially improve the sound. Don’t quote me on this though, it’s been a while.
Hello, I like your comments. Is there galvanic isolation on the USB input? Otherwise, it can ruin everything. All in all, this seems a fairly subtle improvement. Bye
Great review! Just one thing unclear to me - what happens in the scenario when I am using a streamer which streams Tidal MQA? Would the MQA pass thru unchanged and the connected DAC will be able to unfolded as w/o SU-6? That is something that I always wanted to ask and so far no one speaks about.
My impression is MQA is not well regarded in the review-sphere. I don't use it. I have 1 MQA album buried in my collection that I used briefly just to check compatibility but don't really even bother to do that anymore. BUT...yes. The SU-6 can pass along an MQA signal unchanged, as far as I can tell. My Berkeley Alpha S2 is a MQA renderer and when I play that mentioned album its display reads "MQA"
@@nikolaygramchev I'm in the same boat as you. Qobuz has a terrible library so I just can't ever make the switch from tidal and spotify. the good thing is that MQA is being removed from tidal
R26 + DDC = cleaner background, wider soundstage, tighter sounds. Very nice! However, the A26 paired better with my system. I have the U18 and Di20He DDC. I have sold the R26. Prior to that I have the Denafrips T+ which I have missed dearly.

Hello, I want to ask if the SingXer SU-6 could be a sonic benefit to the RME ADI2 DAC FS? And if so, what protocol is best to use to connect these devices? I found a digital cable: pro snake AES/EBU (XLR 3-pol female) to SPDIF (Cinch RCA male) Cable 110 Ω. Will this cable fit between the SingXer SU-6 and the RME ADI2 DAC FS? Or should I rather look for something like the EverSolo DMP-A6 Master Edition streamer instead of the SingXer SU-6. Thanks for the answers.

Why doesn’t is have a usb out? Where I would have wanted it for is galvanic isolation from audio pc and reclock the usb signal.
It’s not a clock input I believe it’s a clock output. Which means you will sync into a DAC with a clock input.

Hopefully not too much longer on R26.
Anyone compared this with the cheaper Gustard U18?
Have you thought of getting a topping 10s in the mix using it as a DDC via TOSlink out as a cheap comparison?
Thank you. How does it compare to iris that you have reviewed?
Is anyone knows why where is no 32 bit setting available for me in the singxer driver panel? Im using i2s output only. Thank you.
Do you know if the su 6 will improve the sound quality of bifrost 2/64 which have good usb implementation?
Supposedly Holo Audio Red is better (+ also functions as streamer), would be great if you'd review it at some point.
I can also give a strong rec for the SU-6. Especially if you have a DAC that lacks a USB input, like his Berkeley Alpha Series 2 or my MSB Discrete.
PCM capped at 384. The SU-2 supports higher rate.
The newer matrix spdif 3 would make a sweet review to comp against the su6.
I would like to review Matrix DDCs. Unfortunately haven't had the right alignment of opportunity yet.
How to compare bare usb output to usb out with DDC between the DAC?

It does. My desktop pc has noisy usb and the SU-6 still sounds clean and quiet while directly connected.

You would hear no difference, the same as if you heard MarketingQA directly.

Hi, I used your link and bought one.
Does the su6 need burn in time? I felt the treble a bit laid back
What dac are you using and what did you use before. Sometimes cleaner treble means less peakiness, which can also mean less perceived brightness
Should I get the 9v or 7v version?
I'm not aware of multiple versions. It's compatible with the range of voltages printed on the back.
You've been doing DAC reviews using this??😱

Yes, rme adi2 internal usb interface sucks, DDC will make hugh difference. AES and USB are both fine imo
@@megadoodoo5088 Have you tried DDC with the RME ADI2 DAC FS ?
Fairly beefy box this one.
