To really bring out the most out of your Gustard R26 DAC, you should get this OCK-2 and also the U18 DDC running iiS to the R26. Also have a USB card in your PC that's running off an external DC power source. Audio perfection.
If a device that requires other devices connected to it to get that most out of then it is a poorly designed device.

Very nice! It has made a noticeable improvement to the Gustard R26 and it is easy to A/B test with the remote. Alvin has been great to work with.
hello, may I ask if the r26 should use the sine wave or square wave output? I just ordered mine and will use it with r26. Thank you 🙏🏽
@@hodavid4551 the specs say it can use either wave shape but square wave is preferred
I just received the ock2 and played with my r26. It seems that the width and dynamic is not there, is it sth that will be back after the burn in? One thing I do notice is the much darker background and the clarity of instruments
@@hodavid4551 you can a/b test by switching the clock to internal/external with the remote. Your ears need to relearn how to hear again. Give it a day or two. make sure to warm up units for an hour or so.

do you give me ask. On these two OCK-2s, the OCXO one has a fish image and the other one does not. So is it any different?
If I have gustard u18 and r26 connected via i2s, will I have to hook ok2 to only r26 or both ?
Alvin, If you have a minute can you please provide an answer to my questions or redirect my comment to your techy.. I have the Iris DDC and Pontus II. Will the "LHY Audio OCK-2 /Premium 10MHz Master Clock Generator" work with the Iris which has 45 & 49 BNC digital in? Currently, i am using an {I2s from the Iris to the Pontus} but i am also feeding the Iris to another DAC, the {ADI-2 PRO fsr black edition} via AES and, yet another DAC, the {MHDT Labs Orchid} via spdif, it also has an BNC and optical connection (which sometimes works and other times it will not until i disconnect and reconnect it). These components are connected to my Schiit Freya+. Amps are Willsenton R8 (NOS tubes) and Kinky Studio EX-M1 (with staccato op-amps-"I love this amp now, you almost can't tell the difference between the R8 and Kinky Studio). Please advise if the LHY will work with my current equipment and or provide a noticeable improvement? thanks, don

Purchased one some some months ago. What a waste of money. Subsequently upgraded to Mutec Ref10 Nano. In MY experience a much better product.

I'm skeptical and it remains to be heard if adding an external clock will help or hype (I will test) ...I do know this, U18 added to R26 DAC / is not needed because it didn't achieve best sound...I found out using Chrome Cast on my Android Beelink GT-King achieves higher bit rate 48k excellent sound quality... I sent my new ifi zen stream and gustard U18 back...I will invest that money towards a second Rel T7X...Don't do like me and get caught up in the hype...streaming Chrome Cast to R26 is very sweet, detailed, punchy, and a warmth I love when paired with Gustard R26...also I get to see my music streaming on my TV...the phone is only a remote and it streams Tidal straight from Tidal without a 3rd party app😁that is why the higher bit rate and higher sound quality...USE Chrome Cast w/R26 and thank me later; better sound and less money...all these streaming companies devices try to just take your money...I'm keeping it REAL!

do you have measurements how precise is OCK2? I can't find any figures, usually at other models it's measured by ppb and ppms

Very very interesting .... before purchase let me know: 50/75 ohm impedance can be adjusted on each single output of the bnc connectors, and have different output values at the same time ?
