Mom of 2 car searching right now 🙋🏼♀️ in desperate need of something awd for the Midwest winters. This video was really helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Bet your little one's will love it!
I was thinking about buying one of these it's has a 1.5 liter turbocharge motor 170 horsepower. Then my wife and I decided to look at the Ford edge SEL all wheel drive it has a 2.0 liter turbocharged motor 250 HP. It came with the bells and whistles and all the safety features she loved it, so we decided to purchase that. I do like the GMC terrain. But this is going to be the wife vehicle but I enjoy driving it too.
@@craftman5632 You should have looked at a 2020 model. It was the last year they made a 2.0 engine for the Terrain. It had 252hp and 260lbs torque. VERY nice engine for this size vehicle. They decided to ditch it in favor of the smaller 1.5L engine which is EXTREMELY lackluster too say the least. They should have made the 2.0 engine standard and ditched the 1.5. Many people on various forums have complained about this. It was a terrible move by GMC.
I love this part with snow:)
Finally some proper winter! haha
I love the new gmc
I just bought one this past Thursday ( all black edition). So, this is good so I’ll know what to expect this winter.
I love how it looks in all black! You will love the Terrain, congratulations!
He said this is awfully amount of traffic that was facts bro
I like cars like this
Glad you like it!
This is pretty icy proceeds to speed up 😂
😂
Ahh there is the snow
About time, right? 👌
This in Papercarsversion?
The best engine the Terrain had was the 2.0 which they got rid of after 2020. In favor of the 1.5 as the sole and only engine. It was a TERRIBLE move by GMC. They could have at least kept the 2.0 as an extra "cost option" or made it standard on the Denali trim. It put out 252hp and 260lbs torque. As opposed to 175hp and 203lbs torque for the 1.5. I hope they bring it back in 2024 and later models. Especially, when other car manufacturers are offering 2 or 3 different engine choices. Nissan for example took a HUGE gamble going with a 3cyl turbo but it puts out 200hp and 225lbs torque. And it's paying off big time for them. Bottom line is if they don't bring back the 2.0 because of cost issues etc...They have too increase the HP on the current 1.5. Because 170-175 is not cutting it. Honda's CRV puts out 190hp they could easily do that mated to the 203lbs torque. You'd be surprised folks what 20 extra HP will do for this vehicle.
How do you film that?
(Wie hast du das gefilmt)
I use the head strap that you can buy for GoPros. So the GoPro is literally sitting on top of my forehead :)
Winter driving in Mountainous region of BC, Canada. The Terrain with Snow tires has neve let me down in the mountains on snow and ice. I use Blizaks Snow tires for the last 10 years, best tires, best tires I own for Winter snow driving.
Those are great tires! Glad to hear that Terrain + Blizzaks get you through any winter weather that BC might throw at you!
@@GCCarsCA Sometimes the tougher snowstorms are from Edmonton back to BC, and a lot colder. Drive within the vehicle abilities and your fine.
I have the 2020 Terrain SLT 2 with that same engine and I like it very much. The only downside is that the engine requires premium fuel to reach it’s maximum output. I’ve always fueled up with premium. I find the 2.0 litre engine gives more than adequate performance in acceleration and if you you’re not constantly into the throttle this vehicle can return some decent fuel economy. On icy roads I always put my Terrain into AWD mode with winter tires and I feel it does a good job. If you’re heavy on the throttle on slippery surfaces AWD or not will give you wheel slip. It took some time to get used to the electronic transmission control but I have no problems now. Nicely appointed vehicle with panoramic roof. Adaptive cruise is nice on the highway but in the city I find that it can be a little overzealous on the brakes. I choose regular cruise in built up areas for that reason. Heated steering wheel is nice, heated seats also nice. Navigation is nice too along with the upgraded Bose sound system. There are warnings for lane wandering with the driver seat vibration and other safety features too. Overall, I like my Terrain. The newer smaller engine won’t pull the skin off a grape in my opinion. My car also has a 3500 lbs trailer package hitch whereas that new engine can pull a shopping cart with 1500 lbs in it.
Glad you're enjoying your Terrain! I always appreciate hearing from owners and understanding their perspectives and opinions
Hard to see around the thick door pillars. Thought this would've went over a snow covered hilly/mountain type area. why take an AWD over plowed streets, show what this jimmy can do, & what it's capable of.
how’s the auto stop/start?
Inoffensive as far as I can recall.
good first car
It sure is!
@@GCCarsCA thank you i heard pepole say its going to be to big for a new driver

Was not impressed at all my two wheel drive ranger goes through s*** like that
Any car with decent winter tires should make it through that. I didn't mean to display "off-roading" capabilities, merely wanted to showcase how the Terrain fairs in wintery conditions.
These are terrible cars for snow ! My car has no power ! To get thru anything zero torque !
Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with it. We just had a blizzard here in Toronto and most cars and trucks can only get anywhere with a lot of patience and caution.
@@GCCarsCA I’m here in Niagara Falls NY lol so I was in that same storm this truck don’t even have AWD ! Just front smh trash smh
awd or 4wd with a good brand of studded tire is the key for winter condition…i live in Barrow alaska 6month winter and its -50 or more sometimes…its all about tire and skills
