I've changed my diet eating habits , changed to unprocessed foods, raw cheeses, and whole organic milk, yoghurts eggs fish meat going back to basics as years ago. I was brainwashed into simmed milk , unsweetened almond, oat which are ultra processed.. I've never eaten per frozen meals. But now read every label !! Scales haven't changed much yet, but clothes fit better. I've noticed more importantly, feeling health hair nails, etc, improving.
Read "Ultra Processed people " by Chris van Tulleken, shocking how our food has been messed with !

All research results should give both absolute and relative risk.
I am taking a pill, actually several, but one in particular that was 'sold' to me by the statistical liklihood of the good it will do for me after one heart event.
Now, I don't know if that was absolute or relative risk. Nor do I know how to find out. :(
I'm supposed to take two a day for life. Was told not to stop taking it as that 'could' be dangerous.

We're you in Dempsey & Makepeace on HTV? You were one of my first crushes, along with Jaclyn Smith and Lyndsey Wagner, lol. Best wishes.

Edit: Ok, I just read your 'about' section and I can confirm you were in fact Makepeace. But now instead of solving crimes you're solving the mysteries of the human body. Nice.

"the data on which they make their conclusions is never independently verified." - yep that was confirmed with the C-19 vaccine claims.

But your generalizing when you say "you feel so sick that you don't want to eat"...! I have TENS of friends who feel great, and what makes you stop eating is not "feeling sick", it's "feeling saciety, instead... Is this a video shaming the medicine, or you're honestly trying to provide accurate information...? Sorry that I ask, but I just found your channel, so, I don't know anything about you.

It's asking valid questions about the drug. Always important to do that about any drug. It may well work for some but I know someone who became very ill on it and had to have surgery. I know of others who have not done well on it as well.

I agree, she made it sound as though anyone on it will feel so sick that they don't want to eat. Everyone is different....on any drug.... I am on it, but very strictly supervised by a doctor and a nutritionist. Yes, I have had side effects, but they are then coped with by reducing the weekly dosage, or making other changes to my diet...again, all under the supervision of a doctor. I appreciate Glynis's point of view, but would suggest that she is not so completely anti, as some people absolutely cannot loose weight any other way. One drug, diet, whatever you want to call it, does not fit all!

You have been hearing "rumours about side effects".... Thanks Karen for joining that party 2 years late. GLP-1 meds have a near 20 year safety profile. Side effects are well published, minor and transcient for most. The positive effects of these drugs where indicated are mind boggling. Thanks for the virtue signaling though. Not that you have services or other items to sell that are severely jeopardized by these drugs. I get it 😉

So after doing your best to insult me, I notice you have no comments on what Dr Malhotra has to say? But that's a little trickier isn't it?

    • @robertusga

@@AgelessbyGlynisBarbernot at all. Malhotra says a lot of "most likely not true" while providing 0 outcome data to back up his wild claims. In the mean time we have near 20 years of safety data on GLP-1 drugs and outcomes being backed up in the real world on the benefits. Not only for semaglutide, also on tirzepatide which provides even more benefits with similar safety profile. He juxtaposes these drugs with "lifestyle and diet changes" as if these were not tried before by anyone suffering from the disease of obesity. In addition, the folks on placebo received identical lifestyle changes as the treatment arm, with placebo folks achieving less than 5% weightloss and tirzepatide folks over 21% and keeping it off with treatment continuation. If you are truly interested in what these drugs actually do in relation to CVD and metabolic health outcomes (including kidney disease, fatty liver disease and T2DM) I highly recommend you interview actual subject matter experts like Dr. Daniel J Drucker, Dr. Spencer Nadolsky, Dr. Michael Albert, cardiologist Dr. Danielle Belardo.

@AgelessbyGlynisBarber not tricky. Malhotra has 0 evidence to back up his "data most likely not true" claims. He is a charlatan who's academic publications are riddled with errors and misinformation. Just like you, services and / or books to sell right?

@@AgelessbyGlynisBarber It's such a shame some men feel the need to prove they're not gentleman and believe they have to insult women to get attention, it's quite pathetic and sad really. As you say, no attacks on Dr Malhotra, which says it all. Stay in your lane women! Thank you Glynis and Dr Malhotra for a very informative video!

@abigailphilips825 what is pathetic is the spouting of pseudoscience or in this case even worse, statements with 0 evidence from outcome data in human studies while yelling "Big Pharma lied to you, buy my book / services".
