Update from Dennis after playing more on the Day 0 patch: the frame drops totally seem improved, but still not stable. Hard to say of course if the other issues we mentioned have been adressed. But it does seem like an improvement, while obviously still not completely fixed. Hopefully this will change in the coming weeks.

@@fazabanana5530 yeah , seen people download a day 1 patch with the Xbox yesterday after the original install, that’s why im assuming they fixed that little 5% of fps drop, but I’ll still appreciate it fully
This game introducing the blaster + saber combo has fulfilled a childhood wish I’ve had since I was making lightsaber wielding stormtroopers in Lego Star Wars 2.

I really liked this stance. I used it throughout the game and didn't swap stances 😆
It is also hands down the best stance in the game and the only one with genuine combos that you will actually use. It seems like the game was designed around blaster stance and the others are just kind of there. If you could use all 5 stances, or even just three at the same time, I would like the game a lot more
Such a great sequel. A true generational leap on every metric over Fallen Order (also a great game in it’s own right). I just got the platinum last night for Survivor and am on a second playthrough of the main story now. The sheer amount and scope of secrets to find out in the world was also truly impressive. It’s never mentioned to the player and you really feel a sense of exploration within the world that is rewarding in meaningful ways. They absolutely need to make another one to complete the Kestis Trilogy.
Hearing that “Merrin stole the show” gives me all I need to know, I loved their small romance in the first game, I am hoping that’s fleshed out, maybe even a kiss

I love that the blaster stance looks very Dooku like. The fencing style of attacking looks sicker than I thought they would’ve done.
I finished the main story line yesterday... I absolutely loved the story and the twists and turns that it contained. So freaking enjoyable.
I think the two games shine light on Cal in a really realistic way in terms of the Star-Wars universe. In Fallen Order, Cal was a Padawan. In Survivor he was a full on Jedi.
Level design looks great!! I hope they get the performance dialed in soon.

From what I’ve seen I love the evolution of Cal’s animations. He seems a lot more confident and skilled compared to the first game.

That was what I was most worried about so it's great that we not only have our whole roster of abilities from Fallen Order, immediately we get some new ones right off the bat. Fantastic. Can't wait to pick this one up
yeah, from what I've seen pretty much the only stuff that doesn't carry over is the health/force bar expansions, a few skill tree things, and BD-1's hacking upgrades (so basically you start off with all of Fallen Order's required upgrades but have lost a few of the optional ones (some of which wouldn't fit with his changed lightsaber movesets anyway. the only thing that's truly missing is the stance-change attack))

This is the game I'm most excited for, glad it's finally here and it seems to be great.
And later we are getting Starfeild, Spiderman 2, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Forza, Final Fantasy 16, etc.
Still got some probable bangers coming. But this is my personal favorite.
The idea of a partner coming along with you I love that idea as k felt like sometimes the first game was a bit slient save for hearing storm trooper banter or kal talking to himself. I would hope and love if someone asked kal “hey what was it like being trained?”
Yeah if they make a third game, I really hope that they a companion system in it. Or something like it.
perhaps in the 3rd game we'll have a more permanant companion with Kata being trained as Cal's padawan

Most reviews gave special mention to how slick and high quality everything was, especially compared to the first game.

The blaster gameplay looked weird to me. He freezes them in place moves to the side and then shoots. Shouldn’t the droid blast away from the blaster’s trajectory instead of to the side? Am I missing something?

Is there truly proper dismemberment for human enemies? From what I have seen in IGN and Gamespot's review.. I couldn't see it during finishers or even common gameplay. Is it something we can turn on or off?

Does the game let you customize things like lightsaber color before starting the story? I think it would be cool to be able to kinda "keep the continuity" of the color you choose when remaking the saber back in Fallen Order
From what I've heard you unlock colours NEAR the start of the story but possibly not right away

Can I wield a red light saber
First pre order that made me feel spoiled but i somehow just knew that were gonna listen to us and they did ! Now its a star wars game with combat mixed between God of War , Ghost of Tsushima and Fallen Order i mean the possibilities are literally in the hundreds for combos and attack sequences as far as button input and each sequence is perfectly choreographed.
Can we complete all skill tree‘s in the first run through? Or do we need to decide for which skill trees we wanna complete?
Because of the endless enemies respawning on rest, you can farm areas for skill points, and max everything in one playthrough.
How long is the first visit to Coruscant? And do you go back there any other times in the story? (other than when you level up and get new abilities to explore previously-locked areas, obviously)

How do the ps5 haptic triggers function in game? I usually change the light and have attacks to R1 and R2 due to souls memory. However, if it means I lose out on trigger tension and all, then I'll have to settle for the original controller layout

Is there an accessibility option to make puzzles easier or have the hints last for longer. I hate puzzles in these games stops the gameplay loop I love of fighting shit.

Yes! I always use greatsword in games that have them, so this is basically that but as a lightsaber. It will definitely be my main stance

I have one question, is there replayability or multiplayer? Seems once the story is finished, thats pretty much it.
How early in the game can you unlock crossguard and blaster stance? Those are the two stances I want to main and will want to get asap.
It's actually pretty early, there is one point where you can chose to do a main mission in a different order. Go to the moon first and you get hte crossguard faster.

Hogwarts Legacy, Horizon Burning Shores, Jedi Survivor, Zelda, Spider Man 2, God of War Ragnarok (NG+ which added some bonus stuff, so replaying it again is AWESOME) and some other titles which i can't remember rn. WOW! 2023 is a hell of a year for gaming

If you don't like a skill tree path after realising that you prefer a different stance, can you respec your skills to back up your new favourite stance?
I think another preview said you can. Guess we'll get confirmation in a day or 2.
Yes you can, first re spec is free, after that it'll cost you a skill point to re spec each time
you can potentially keep on getting skill points infinitely (and they seem to come pretty fast, particularly if you're actively aiming to get them) so you can get everything on the skill tree
in case you just want to quickly respec what you already have the first respec is free but every one after that costs 1 skill point (though you get skill points so quickly that by the time you've properly played around with your new loadout you'll probably have made an overall profit on skill points overall.)
