You two ladies do a really good and helpful work. After a serious injury I am half-side paralyzed and moving is hard for me. Because of Covid I am all day at home and my moving skills were really bad, I have hard back pain, can not stay a long time or walk. Since I make this stretches every day over a month now all is so much better! back pain is not gone but really better, I can stand in the kitchen and do my work and I can better walking - without painkiller. I am so happy to have found your site. I experience stiffness and have multiple issues. I had 2 brain resections followed by 30 sessions of fractionated radiation for an atypical meningioma brain tumour in 2010. I had yearly MRI's since then but asked to go in a 2 year schedule without contrast. My radiation oncologist agreed. I am hypothyroid and take synthroid.
I'm coming back here to say that I've been doing the morning stretches for a few weeks now - occasionally I forget or am distracted by something that needs immediate attention, but generally I'm doing them. And it makes such a difference to my chronic pain problem. I would recommend these to everyone, to help deal with pain, to ease out any overnight tension that might have crept in. Thank you so much for this really helpful video. I hope your mum continues well!

This was a bonus "new to me" routine for me this morning, since I was having trouble getting myself out of bed to do the workouts I had planned for the day. I love that you have us swing our legs over the edge of the bed, ready to get up at the end of it. It definitely worked for me to wake up both my body and my mind, and I followed it up with two more "new to me" workouts, which I plan to comment on separately. 🙂🌞

But I really, really like that you give the info quickly and smartly, without a lot of other “filler.” - no dumb jokes, no cutesy giggling and posing, just nicely providing knowledge we want.
Jokes, long personal stories, and camera posing by teacher are fine in some cases, but far overdone. I just want the how-to in a pleasant way. You deliver! 👍🙏

Just viewed this soothing "good morning to self" routine. I took notes and will try them right now even though I've already risen for the day! Yes, morning stiffness and wobbling is not a good way to start the day! This routine is far superior to the one or two stretches we often use before rising. Thank you both!

Excellent video and a very good idea. Many seniors take meds that tend to disorient them when they get out of bed, like high cholesterol medication. These exercises are a great way to aid individuals so they don't fall when attempting to get on their feet.

I like this video a lot - and I have subscribed to your channel. I live with chronic pain and mornings are worst. I have noticed that it is easier if I can stretch a bit before I put my feet on the floor, so I've been doing some random stretches. I've been looking for a more formal morning stretch practice and this about fits the bill for me. It should make mornings easier for me - so thank you!
