OK, so I have the older style that does not have the intermittent wipers, however if I get the wiper handle for the steering wheel that has those settings, and a module with those settings, can I upgrade it so I can have that feature? It would be beneficial where I live, and yes, I drive my car (that I rebuilt mostly myself) as a daily driver. Had it 25 years now. OK< great vid, and have a great day!
What part do I need to replace in my 1985 Chevrolet camaro z28? This part is located inside of the steering shaft that the combination switch plugs into to activate the windshield wipers, turn signals, high and low beams. What is the name of this particular part?
@Ja M The guy I bought the car from had already purchased it. I believe he said he got it from ebay. I can't remember if it came in a box or not. If so and I still have it I will let you know the part number and manufacturer
you can, but it's very cramped in there, and you may not be able to put back the washer that goes up inside., Its very easy to remove the cover. Hey, if this woman can do it, I know YOU can!LOL Anyway, I have done it a ton of times, and it is very easy to do, and you get your washer motor in correct:) Hope this helps, cheers!
YEAH!!! Tech tip Tuesday is a go!
Where did you find the the outter platic cover and module? I need both for my 85 z28
Mine looks nothing like that. My pump is not integrated onto the motor. There are a total of 9 wires going to my motor, I have an '89.
Thanks for the info and video
Can you do video for the rear wiper motor?

Since those are hard to find, where did you obtain yours?

@@robschwiesow Thanks! I've been searching but no luck finding one yet.
@@robschwiesow well?
Well what?
@@robschwiesow I think they expect a treasure map to a mystical stash of GM pulse delay boards. They probably expect you to fix their junk too.
Hi, I have an 87 Camaro, can I replace the wiper fluid spray motor without removing the wiper motor cover?

I completely gutted mine and welded a plate in there and made mounts for a ford ranger motor and use a Honda Civic wiper stock.
Love the dusty Monte SS!!
Thanks man, have had it for almost 20 years, someday I'll get to it!
My 88 wipers quit working all together the other day. Fuse isn't blown, Wheel on control mod isn't broken. I'm stumped
Could be an issue with the lever switch ok the column. Is there power at the wiper motor when you command them on with the switch?

SSOOOOOOOOO,,,, What's the fix? All I saw was a warning tip rather than a fix.
Find the new part and replace it. I was just showing how to install it
@@robschwiesow aahhh yes. Those parts are basically non existing. Couldn't find one. I have a different issue with my wipers.
What is the issue you are having?
My wipers want come on at all when I hit switch but I can hook wiper motor to battery and it comes on
That sounds like it is in the switch on the column
