Deep in the woods, out of sight, camouflaged by overgrowth, there remains a house built in 1888, this was a beloved family home for 117 years, up until 2005, when they disappeared overnight…
Ever since that night, its been known as the malediction house, a magical word uttered with the intention of bringing about evil; a curse.
Sun light beams through the leaves which engulf it, casting a constant green glow over the doll house like rooms, vines and mould crawl over every wall after almost two decades of abandonment, transforming it into a scene from a strange, twisted fairytale.
Where did the family go and why? Is this house really cursed? Join us as we discover what remains inside the cursed house, hidden in the woods…

I loved that house, something about it really touched me. Look beyond the fungi and mess and there was once a really beautiful little home to some lovely family who are all now gone forever.
Funny how some houses kind of grab you and leave you feeling quite emotional and sad isn't it.
Thanks guys, it was really nice to see you outside of the explore too, in your little place, having dinner etc. Till next time, look after each other x
It’s a shame it was so trashed. Odd that one bedroom was locked. I worry about you not wearing masks with all the mold you encounter. Love you guys!
I love both the pristine and the decaying. The decaying houses have a silent beauty as they decay. The pristine I find sad that they have been abandoned - no longer cared for. Sad! Wonderful place. Very strange house. Mysterious locked door. Thank you Sam and Jessica. Much love Nan 🤗🥰💜😁
Did you notice all the dolls had crosses around their necks? I sense that there was a haunting there and the family there ran and never looked back.
Wonderful explore Sam and Jess! The house must have looked beautiful when lived in! It always amazes me that people disappear and leave there belongings! Especially the photos! I love that little tea nook! Thank you for sharing your walk through the town and where you were staying! Nice place!
They don't need the paranormal gear, Its S&J unique as they are near perfect style as far as urbex is considered. Just saying!
🙋🙋
The girl is beautiful I don’t know if her name is Sam or Jessee 🇺🇸
@@marthaboyte8252 Sam is the male, Jesse is the female. They seem like real nice people or I should say they are nice, very respectfull.
Well put. So true! 🤗😁
Sam and jess I've found your channel from dark arts TV I love how really and genuine you guys are I think you all guys are amazing people and work soooo well together long may it last
Couldn’t wait to get home sit relax and watch Sam and Jess 😊 much love guys ❤
I truly appreciate all you both do and go through to get to some of these places. My father would have loved your channel. He was an interior designer who would have loved all the places I've seen on your channel so far. You adventures make me want to explore old places again as my family did when I was young. Thank you for taking all the time you do to show these places too. Take Care and Stay Safe.
I love the decay as I feel it gives more character to the property and you can use your own imagination of how it once looked.
Hi Sam and Jess, I loved every minute of this beautiful Explore, the background music is perfect, the Air B&B looked excellent, you both are very observant and respectful of the fragile old dwellings that you explore, much love to you both!!
What an incredibly quaint house! It was probably gorgeous back in the day!
Out of all the channels on UA-cam, I love your channel the best! Your narrations, the filming of certain items in these places are so well done. Thank you, Sam & Jess xx
I am so glad that all of you explorers are doing these videos of the old mansions that have been in existence for generations, because, as the old families die out, gone will be the past, the relics of the past, the history. Modern-day wealthy people do not build mansions like the old ones, but modern ones, with all modern items. In the future, your videos will probably become quite valuable as history documentations of a truly by-gone era.
I love the music that you put together with the video footage. It always perfectly complements what we are seeing. Love your channel… Stay safe!
❤ great one this is Sam n Jess , always good to keep track on your videos. Keep safe on your travels xx
Sam and Jess, I love watching you two kids and your videos! You are so beautiful! This home is so easy to imagine the way it once looked. It's so sad the way some people want to trash these places. Love you both and stay safe!
Beautifully put together, another masterpiece!
Great explore as always. Keep doing what you're doing.
Looking forward to this! Have a fab week both of you x
A beautiful home back in the day, it still has an abandoned charm about it now. So rustic in a fancy way! I love the staircase and all the windows, I’m sure it was a fabulous place for a tea party once upon a time! I’m sure that as darkness falls this place takes on a spooky vibe! A fantastic explore! Thank you Sam and Jess xx
What an amazing house, love the decay and fungi!! Love the extra bit at the end too xx love you guys x
Liked this. Awesome job Sam and Jesse 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hey guys I love everything you do, the pristine and the decaying. Taking us on your adventures is brilliant, every part. Thank you!!!
Wonderful story teller Sam and the background music is fab 💕✨
Brilliant intro Sam Great find..thanks appreciate it ❤💙
Glad you guys are back missed your banter 😊
I'm a new sub. Absolutely loved this house. I'm in the USA and I love to see all the differences between our abandoned and other countries. Lovely seeing the Air BnB and the countryside.
Amazing place, you do really wonder with places like this what happened!🤔Really love the vlog bits, be nice to see some of the other sites you travel through. Stay safe! And happy exploring.🙂
French country is so pretty. I got good vibes from the house. When I was a kid I loved my dolls and gave them lots of love even it was a bit rough sometimes. My mother in law collected dolls like those in the house. I swear those doll eyes were so cold and dead, they seemed to follow me and gave me the creeps.I'm totally off dolls now. I love your explores pristine or otherwise. Please keep them coming 💖💖💖💖
Another awesome explore Sam Jess. The dolls are a little Creepy. Same with that bathroom. Very creepy mold. Keep them coming you guys.✌✌
I like them both. I just like looking at old stuff especially from lands afar. You two are so good at finding all the cool places. !
I loved that home so much, it appeared to be so tranquil and thanks for sharing another great video
Great explore!!! 👍😊❤️
Love the decade homes and your genuine personalities. Enjoy you energy !
Loved it! 😍
hello how are you both -I love your channel I really love the way sam starts each video its like a horror starting before the killings you tend to expect a wind-up to the horror
Great explore as always Samandjess👍
Great video guys enjoyed this what an amazing old place thanks for sharing 👍🤘💖
Great video and music was a perfect pairing.
Another wonderful place! Thanks for sharing
This transported me to another time, just stunning❣️ Love from Maine
You guys find the coolest homes to explore!
Can’t wait to see this! Unfortunately I have to wait until I get off work.
Thank u for your wonderful videos! I've been utube binging on your channel 🙌
Loved it, guys!
This place had a very strange mystic about the way the dolls were staged in each room:; and
When Jess pointed the camera down the stairs, children can be heard on the audio. The exterior was thick with overgrowth its unlikely any children were outside playing.
Loved it, doesn't matter what shape they're in. No matter what shape its in, we'll see yucky, see beauty, see many things. Even at its worst, you find beautiful furniture, beautiful wallpaper thats ruined which is sad. So many pros and cons. Was funny when Sam put his eye up to the locked door, was waiting for him to get poked in the eye, lol.
Loved your walk through the jungle. Thank you for shareing your travels and explores. Shareing what so many of us would like to see and do no doubt. Thanks for being kind in so doing what you do. Cause if to many were going in and out it would ruin it more. Also thanks for the smiles and laughs. You to are so funny, I really enjoy you two. Be safe, Blessed Be 🍀☘🍀☘🍀
Love watching your videos 😁
What an enchanting house it's looks so beautiful,I love the feeling of this house its how the sun is shining into it its just seems to have this relaxed feeling, the dolls are like they are from all over the different countries, its just a shame that its falling apart and no one seems to care about this beautiful house's 😥😥
You guys do a wonderful job. Thank you. Jo
Another Masterpiece Excellent work CHEERS
It's amazing how little details "bring to life" the family who lived there. The cabinet at (20:06) has the movies "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea", and "The Little World of Don Camillo", both favorites of mine in High School.
Love y’all Sam and Jess! Love and light to you both!!
Loved this. Location. Must have. Been a comfy home. Take care on the road! 🐌
Love the video you have a great speaking voice Sam God bless the two of you and be safe out there
You guys are naturals when it comes to explorations!
Keep searching guys!!!
I love your videos!!
It's amazing what else is in the house, thanks for showing!
Love this ♡ you need a camera you can slide under the door or pick the lock! I'm itching to see behind that door!!
Really enjoyed this video guys! Love the old French properties. ❤️
Imagine the estate agent's blurb.... "This desirable house with it's own nature reserve will suit a DIY enthusiast....."
You are a wonderful storyteller, voice and tone
How sad. You know it was so beautiful at one time. I hate to see these once beautiful homes waste away but I am glad for a glimpse of what once was. No wonder that place is so moldy with all the vegetation choking out the sun.
Very interesting !!! Thanks 😊
Exploring the decaying/decayed houses make for intriguing viewing as to the history of the families who lived there. To see and imagine how beautiful they must have been years ago.
Fantastic abandoned house! Sam, if you write your introduction, you do have an excellent writing talent, thank you both, you are both the best.
AND a VOICE SO PERFECTLY FITTING TO THE INTRO"S also! The Intro's are almost my favorite part :)
The wbole house is infested with dryrot, the reddishbrown spores are oved everythiñg.its a demolition job.masks requiŕed.you carry it on yiur feet and clothes to i fest another place. Someone died and no one claimed.its unsellable.suçh a shame.
Another great video so sad to see that house decaying it must’ve been such a lovely house specially A family house
"Ya". hey Sam and Jess good to see you mates loved the video you guys are the best out there thank you good job keep up the hard work. 💯🙏🌹🎉👑
For a malediction house, it is eerily beautiful!
7:48 It is a TV box decoder, yeah. Canal+ is a private TV channel managed by the group of the same name, they're specialized in broadcasting cinema and sports. They also have a network of various thematic channels.
11:19 It is a piece of correspendence addressed by a son in law, to his parents in law, probably at one point the owners of the house you were visiting. Seems really strange to me, because usually most guys want nothing to do with the parents of their spouse. Yet, I get from the friendly tone of the letter that they got along very well. Apparently, the sender was an employee of EDF (the main supplier of electricity in France). He is first alluding to a travel, to which he brought along his dog (named Calypso) on his car, at the time, a Volkswagen Transporter T4. This last detail is interesting, because it was a van produced between 1990 and 2003, which is quite late in the chronology of the building. Then, very suddenly, the conversation veers in the family's finances, which was seemingly the main subject of concern at the time.
Much of the context is lost, because the letter is full of privately known details, such as the exact role of that Dominique, who is an intermediary the sender resorts to, to unblock a money grant. It is also question of a female employee quitting her job because of a pregnancy and her will not to come back, because of unfavorable taxation if she does so. It is a rather boring read, but from it, you get that the sender trusted and valued so much his parents in laws, he inquired about their thoughts on sensitive topics like money. At any rate, due to the approximate datation, I don't think it sheds light on the mysterious fate of the family.
So good to watch back over again and again, good to see this one again ,it was an interesting home
Hellooo there my Dear Sam&Jess, notification received!
Greetings from Amsterdam!
wow! wish we had explores like this in Chicago! glad i just found your channel
Oh that dining room table and chairs 🪑!😍 it’s heartbreaking 😢that it was left to rot with the rest of the house what a great explore 👍🏻
Great video stay safe 🤘
another great video sam and jess that doll on the piano was creepy looking lol. but yeah im still watching its been a while but im still here and alive lol. hope your both good.
Interesting😵💫 The city/town history plays a roll in that mansion’s history? Love those churches as well🤩
I can just imagine what living in the house ,the sun coming in ,shame houses like that just get abandoned with all that stuff left , beautiful furniture
what a great little village! I do like the decayed houses, they make me a bit sadder than one people have moved out of .
I bet this was a beautiful house back in its day, I loved it had so many windows to let in natural light and sunshine, absolutely beautiful.
Love this explore, sad not knowing what happened to the family.
Would love to have seen this in its prime! Beautiful!
What a cute little house. I love to see the decayed and the pristine houses. Take care 🙂 💕 💜 ❤ 💓
I wish a couple of the experts from Antiques Roadshow would explore some of these old mansions and be able to lexplain some items we see. Always sad to wonder what happened to the family…are there members that don’t even know they are heirs to it?
Thank you. I like everywhere you guys go. It's all interesting. My favorite is the fancy wood carved things. I liked that fungus mushroom stuff. I don't think I've ever seen that outside. That place was cool
I like the decayed places better because they don't have long to go before they are gone and you get to document them before they are. I like it when you add where you are staying and what you are eating and seeing in the places you are exploring.
Love the music in the background ❤
Love the old old French mansion and chateau and I’m sad that the valuables are decayed with the beautiful home it’s sad that they all can’t get restored ❤❤❤❤❤🌲love the content
In it’s heyday that house must have been magnificent!! Even now with all the decay you can see the grandeur hidden under all of the decay!
UK'Shire remember the mouse in the bunker lost and hungry it ask you lot for help it beats me on how it got there in the first place the bunker would of been a maze to the mouse brilliantly done Sam and Jess keep it up your both epic on your journeys where is this one at.
let me know when you relocate. 💙❤
Hi, I really enjoyed your posts. As for the mansions that you show us, they are unbelievable . I don't mind the decay, mushrooms, so much it's the way people trash these once beautiful homes. I can't understand why they are just left to rot. Some people must have more money than sense. I am from Australia and we don't have places that old with spectacular architecture. Thanks so much for your posts. By the way, it's not hot over there!!
HI Sam and Jess, great video as usual, can you tell me what that beautiful piano music is called?
It never ceases to amaze me with the amount of possessions that are left behind in these houses......after all someone spent time and money collecting the items in the houses. They obviously meant something to the people because they acquired them in the first place to ,in the end, be left behind to rot away with the rest of the house!! I don’t understand why they don’t take their belongings with them when they leave the houses??!!
I enjoy the video thank you for it
I absolutely love the sunflower field! I prefer the beauty in the decay!
O GOD Jess, I'm going to have to give my age away here 😳 THAT phone 📱 card you found was from the 90s. In the days before Mobile phones were 10 a Penny (as normal now), we used to buy them as a way to pay for a phonecall in the public phone boxes, like the Red ones in England,( if you still have them there either?) You could buy them from 5pound up to 20pound. It worked like a Bank 🏧 card that you use to withdraw money from bank machines if you didn't have loose change. I think I still have a few old ones here, keeping them case they might have some value in a few years time. Though, like everything else I put away, I can't bloody remember where I left them ( and I'm Not even 60 yet)LoL 🤣😆😅 I Really loved THAT House you were in. It's a shame that idle fools go in and smash them up like that. THANKS Jess and Sam for showing us places some of us will NEVER get to, even if it costs yous the skin off your legs 😁. Safe travels and please be careful. Love to you both 💕🙏💗
You walk into a house with the windows broken out and you open the door on a china cabinet and it hardly has any dust inside. It always makes me feel strange. At that moment you are in two different dimensions. In America, 50,000 people a year just simply walk off the face of the earth 🌎. No trace left. I like beautiful immaculate abandoned homes and the ones like this. They both tell a story. I love 💕😘❤️ you guys!
SamandJessExplore... Your "About" page states you put out new videos every Monday and Thursday. Has this changed? I ask only because you both are my favorite youtube channel. I've watched all but one of your videos. I'm not saying I'm addicted to your channel but I really am. I'm a young person with a serious illness and I am under so much stress and pain. So thank you both for all you do. If I had any money at all I would give it all to you. You make my life bearable. Much love, Anne
I am so in love with this place ♥ It is sad that most of these homes are in such a state, between time and the hands of those who have no respect for history of them. I am so happy that you found it and it shall forever be captured on video for all to admire. Thank you so very much. Much love to you both.... you are both the best at what you do, and I can't get enough, hahaha !!!! (It will be a sad day when all these beauties will be gone and all we will be left with are prefabbed homes to look at.) ┬┬﹏┬┬
