Most of us can only dream of living in a mansion some day. So when we hear that one has been abandoned completely and left to rot, it is usually shrouded in mystery.
What happened to cause this beautiful mansion to turn from a lavish home to a derelict place?
That’s what we’re going to investigate today.
Little is known about the home's history between then and now, but, several different owners tried to revive the home to its former glory before falling on hard times themselves. Which begs the question: Is it cursed? Probably not, but you never know!
Villagers still believe the mansion to be cursed, and despite the mansion is hauntingly beautiful, no interested buyers have been found over the past years.
Let’s take a peek inside together in this mystifying mansion, that was lastly occupied by a lawyer and her family.

Lovely tile flooring at the front door...
In the dining room, definitely a dumb waiter from the kitchen on the lower level. Notice the corner cabinet with ropes at beginning @9:31 Kitchens were always kept on a different level or away from the main dining room in large homes of a certain era. It was to remove any smells from the dining area and in some situations to prevent the quicker spread of fire. Also note the two tier rolling butler tray. It may have been used in the dumb waiter since it was a full height one. Fill it with your dishes and send it up. When done, send it down to be washed....
The crystal and china were lovely....
The magnificent early 19th century grand piano by Sebastian Erard is in fantastic condition!
The hair dryer from the 1960s was to set your hair rollers. My grandmother Joanie actually had a full salon set up in her home and I remember my mothers that came in a large container and would pop open...
Lovely French Provincial bedroom suite in the owners suite...
    Thanks for another lovely tour....
    xoxo
    Randolph

You know, France will always be my favorite country in its beautiful old Chateaux and big historic mansions!!! They have a special and unique charm to them, and they give me an idea of how life used to be in other eras, and they give me old and royal vibes! They're always so cozy and so so so vintage. The old and wood furnitures are always amazing, like the royal castles we used to watch in cartoons 🥰 the dining room is the best! The set up that other photographers made is quite nice, i just imagine the family sitting here and talking all together enjoying a yummy meal! The chandelier also is nice and look vintage and also medieval! The rooms are my second favorite, the beds are stunning. Really sad to see all these amazing furnitures, pieces of antique and especially books, left to dust. Ohhh and the piano also, not only an amazing one, but it's crazy how its still in a very good condition 😳😳 but i'm glad though!!! Not to forget to beautiful staircase also, a pretty one. In places like this, what makes me sad is that the antiques are left forgotten, and they deserve to be put in a museum! Not only antiques and vintage stuff, but also the pianos and books, and beautiful paintings hanging on walls!!! I hope someone will save them and put them somewhere where they will be protected from dust, from stealers and vandals!! And i have a question, did you guys experience any paranormal activity?? I know you don't believe in it, i do but at the same time i don't lol! But who knows! Anyways, you made an amazing explore, and the video is amazing, and the editing too. And the music of the intro is nice and it suits the place! Always taking time to make amazing work, not just quality but quantity too on this channel. Not just your work is amazing, you are also an amazing person, always polite and respectful to the place you're exploring, and to the owners 😁 and thanks for the time and love you put in your masterpieces!!! Keep going my dear, peace out, see you in the next adventure ✌🥰❤😍😘🤗

The crystal stemware on the table looks like it is Waterford quality, It has the telltale marks of being at least 24% lead. WOW
22:00 i early type Scrabble game
The wood paneling in the dining room is divine!! I love wood
The tile is divine too ... I am so in LOVE with this house
I love the staircase and banister also.... This is my dream home!!!
29:34 is usually an oriental jewelry cabinet it is late 1800s early 1900s, the adhesive has given up, but the wood still holds its beauty
The old map is worth big money, cartography is highly collectable from that era
The lamp table was high beam and rarely available to most to commonly purchase
I too love the architecture of the home, the lay out is so comfortable, the interior design is top notch. It is utterly amazing
Could the uniform be from the railroad? or police?

Thank you for this explore. I found that this house wasn’t as inviting or appealing as others you have explored. Part of this , l think was the lack of windows and perhaps some were covered. I agree that the main bedroom was lovely, beautiful furniture and light fixture. I loved the hanging staircase which seems very common in these amazing homes. I hate to see things ransacked and wonder what it is that seems to overtake people for the urge to destroy! It was immediately evident as soon as the 4th floor opened up that someone has recently put up new dry wall and applied some putty. Someone tried at some point to repair. I respect your kindest of thoughts regarding the homeless and how some of these homes you’ve explored could be renovated and opened up for the homeless. Unfortunately, doing this would be so cost prohibitive. I know millions of people would love to restore these homes and live I them, but these same people don’t have the millions it would take to do the renovations. The cost of heating alone, would make residing in homes of this size, impractical at best. Keep up the good work.❤️

Wow! That was kind of deep. I agree with you about housing being a human right. My dad used to do work for companies in Chicago that would make big old houses into apartments and condominiums. They looked nice when it was finished, but they were built for people that had money. If you took the same premise and applied it to some of the houses you explore it could work. You could build a lot of unites in just this one house. If there is land with the house even better. Take the land and produce food on to feed the people in the house and sell it for income. The real question is how to make this work.

The dining room and bedrooms were amazing. So many interesting things found inside. I couldn’t agree more that these abandoned places could be made over to apartments to help house the homeless. Where I live they are converting vacant hotels and building tiny homes for the homeless. There’s programs to help them find jobs or get trained to be employable.
Anyway, thank you for sharing this amazing location. Cheers.❤

The cupboard with the cables, was a 'dumb waiter' that would have brought up food to the dining room from the kitchen below. The servants would then take the food from the 'lift' and serve to the large dining table.

the cupboard with the ropes is most likely a "dumb waiter". the basement kitchen cook would put the food in it and it would be pulled upstairs to the dining room. they were used a lot in the US until the mid 1900's.

The corner cupboard with the ropes is a 'dumb waiter'. This is a little lift that is operated manually and would bring food up from the kitchen and into the dinning room and probably take the empty plates and table ware back down to the kitchen when needing to be washed.

The man in the picture is much older than you think. He is not the last owner. That picture is from 1920-1930 maybe earlier. So he was born before 1900. You can tell from his mustache and clothing. Also the way he poses in the picture. Probably the man who build or bought the house. The last owner probably was a child of that man or even grandchild

as ive said about many big houses the more modern families lived on the uppe floors ,the big corner cupboard thing was a dumb waiter going down to the basement kitchen ,i think the 2013 date for being left is wrong ,i think the family was there until about 2000 by the look of the huge television and the calendar and bottles were from the workman who did the plastering on one of upper levels but that is all they did , the pics on small square slides from late 60s early 70s the gentle men and his family photos were circa 1890- 1930 .....FUN FACT XXXXXXXX after the meal was over and family gone the dumb waiter was big enough for small boy to load with crockery get in pully himself down and get out at kitchen .much faster than walking down to basement xxxxx

Heyy there, my dear friend Maureno from super team Explomo, Again a wonderful explore video about an abandoned French
mansion! - I loved once more listening to your beautifully formulated introduction. - This location has such a historical vibe.
There were very old and still well preserved pieces of antique furniture visible. Especially the dining room with the large table
and also the living room really kept a legit time capsule vibe. - Of course I loved the grand piano from ERARD most, which
presented itself still in a surprisingly good condition. - The speculatius biscuits were a favourite of my beloved mom.
But wow, this upstairs bedroom with the well matching and beautifully carved bed and other furniture in the same style was
breathtaking to see, - also the many smaller vintage items and the wonderful chandelier! - The original magazine from 1953
was showing the coronation of Queen Elisabeth II from Great Britain.
You and Sara are such a good explore team, and I love your deep respect for the belongings of the former owners and your
sincere interest in the background history, when you are exploring such a place!
Thank you for this once more amazing documentation of this mansion, dear bro! - I also agree fully to your deeply thoughtful
reflections about homelessness and poverty in our world.
Stay safe, peace and many hugs. - Wishing you also a very good continuation of your grand trip together with Lesley now in Florida.
Kindest regards from now a bit cold but sunny Switzerland.

I can tell you from loving and watching documentaries there are many MANY SEVERAL case's of very bad things that went on in older homes,
    From terrible sicknesses, Injuries,
suicides, kidnapping, murders, many things that may cause newer occupants to not feel welcomed,
You have to understand moving into someone else's personal space,
You will no doubtably feel things, which may be why many places like this are not inhabited,
As it may be to impossible to do so,
So many things, so long ago were easy and simple to get away with, Some things were just normal back than,
like you said before, going into these old homes is like stepping into a whole nother world.
    P.S thankyou for showing us,

Housing and living in homes, protects them from destruction. It is as if the spirit of the dwelling people gives life to these houses. I don't know how I missed this, but better late than never.
There were some lovely things in the home, but it left me feeling cold. Were there few windows?
The master bedroom was the nicest; I recognized the picture of Queen Elizabeth because that was a coronation picture; she became Queen Elizabeth in June, 1953.
That partial hairdryer hood made me laugh. It's right out of the 60's and my Mom had a hairdryer with the identical hood: back then every lady would wash, curl, dry and style her own hair. My Mom always was beautifully coiffed and I'd watch the whole process.
Loved the floors a lot. There's something special about old wooden floors.

Wonderful Maureno 🤗 one of the best I have seen…..the corner-carpent with the rope was 100% a food-elevator from the kitchen. When you go to the stairs with the bedrooms omg the secend bedroom you get in to, my neck-hair was frozing, and goosbombs all over, the same happend when you went to the masterbedroom, and when I saw the dress to the man 😱 something special was in that house, Im sure…..but very very beauty all of it. So sad its only shall stand there and falling apart, really sad. Thanks again Maurino for speciall wonderful video 😙

That is not true. When my brother was in University in Ottawa he roomed in a mansion that had been split into apartments. It was a beautiful building and there are plenty others.

Hola chicos!!

The old gray uniform has a military medallion for a Ordinance group. It shows a round bomb with a flame extending upwards, including private stripes above it.

Marauno thank you so much for this explore. Absolutely amazing. What beautiful antiques. Just wonder what happened to the family. It didn’t look like that bad of condition that it could be still salvaged. As always love from me in California💜😎😘🇺🇸

Thank you for your amazing content and respect for the properties you explore! Each time I see a piano open like this one, I want to reach through the screen and close it up. If it’s in good shape like this you can prolong its life by closing up the lid (covers the strings and internal parts) by folding in the lid prop and carefully lowering the lid and the fall board (to protect the keys).

i think the corner closet with the ropes are an old service elevator for getting the service ect. from the kitchen. just my guess :)

Listen to background noise, that begins at minute 33:28, just before entering the owner's room. I don't know what it is, but they seem like screams to me and I felt chills when I heard them. 😨😱
