bought my used 2015 500e this past feb with 12k miles for $9500. I truly love this car. a customer of mine gave me the 240v charger for free. So hard to drive a gas car after as the pickup and responsiveness.

Totally agree. The off lease 500e's are becoming a really good deal.

Thinking of getting one. Used ones have great value for the price, and for my lifestyle 80-90 miles of range is more than enough.

Me too. Hope your not in my state cause not a lot of options here. Used ones going for cheap. Can't wait...but would rather a 2016 w sunroof and dash screen

Try Cargurus.com or carvana.com or carfax.com or myev.com and you can find LOTS of excellent used options out there. The 500e and first generation Nissan Leaf are probably the most numerous, but all of the others can be found too and most of the time they can be delivered to your house for a nominal fee. Fiat 500es can be found all day long for less than $8000 in great shape, low miles, one owner etc.

I could be wrong, but I believe the Fiat 500e is the only electric car that actually has a key that is inserted and turned to start the vehicle. Every other one is just a button push with the key fob nearby. No big deal to me, but just interesting.
Anyway, the Fiat 500e is, by all accounts, a fun to drive EV that comes in a wide variety of colors (way more than any other EV that I'm aware of) and has many desirable features such as liquid cooled battery. But its Achilles Heel is the lack of a DC fast charger even as an option in any of the model years it was available (except the 2020 version). With this ONE addition it would be SO much better! These cars can be found online used for VERY low prices in great shape (less than $8000 easily).

RayHsuVlogs Hey, how'd you get the black wheels on your 500e if you don't have the sport version, cause I'm trying to get those black wheels for my 500e haha. Let me know if you can
      -Thanks

I bought the wheels off of someone on Craigslist who took the wheels off their Sport model because they got aftermarket wheels. It was a lucky find.

Neutral would be used if you have to push the car. Say it died for some reason and you needed to push it by hand out of the way of traffic. That's when you would use it.

I have a 2015 500e. I feel like I live and die by the mileage range. Driving around town is ok but as soon as you have to get on a highway, forget it. and you better hope there is someplace close to charge when you get there. I drive under the speed limit to try and salvage milage and my eyes are constantly glued to the milage range and praying for the up arrow to light up. We are experiencing negative degree weather and I can't use my heat because I won't be able to make it to work, the 2 or three other places I may need to go after work and then home. Work by the way is a 10 minute drive for me so it's not a great distance. I spend the majority of my time sitting in a grocery store pulling a Netflix and chill while I wait the 2hrs to get some miles back so I can get home and to work the next day. If there is somewhere I want to go, I have to look up how far it is and if there is a charging station nearby. Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal? I love my car, it's everything I had hoped a Fiat would be. I decided to take a chance with it being electric but if I had know how quickly the mileage drained and how much time I would spend plotting simple trips and sitting at charging stations, I wouldn't have done it.

Baroness1015 do you charge at all at home? You state you charge publicly at a grocery store to get enough to juice to get home and then to work next day, so do you charge at home overnight? If not, or you can’t, then yeah, this is not the car for you

Ive been looking at getting one because they are so affordable and have good range for what I need daily. A single charge would get me all week and for under 10k you cant beat it. Only issue is I have to have one shipped to my state because no one here sells any kind of ev.

Do the rear seats recline at all? What would you estimate is the max height for rear passengers to be before it becomes uncomfortable?

What does your commute look like and how long? What range do you see throughout the year?

    • @iMakeItRain2009
      @iMakeItRain2009  7 років тому +1

I commute about 75 miles per day roundtrip. During the summer time, I need to charge during my lunch time. Without traffic, I would not be able to make it though.

Not really. I'm at 25k miles on one of my cars and range is still good. I think outdoor temperature makes the biggest difference. I get my best range when its 70 F outside.

For the price it costs it's lacking a LOT. FIAT creates a XXI Century car with XVIII technology basically... No BT, no navigation system.. this is why people go for Renault Zoe. Great review anyway
