Ori and the Blind Forest was the most beautiful game I've ever played and Will of the Wisps is somehow even more stunning!

Couldn't agree more! Trying to write the script for it now but honestly I still need more time to process it

Okay, so I watched your video a few days after it was released, and I wanted to write this comment back then, but for some reason, I totally forgot, but better late than never, right?
I discovered your channel randomly through the "recommended" section, and I must say that I'm thoroughly impressed by this video and your channel in general; I'm glad that I discovered your videos. I've always loved longform critiques/reviews of video games, and "Ori and the Blind Forest" was by far my favourite game of all time (I only say "was" because it's now tied with "Will of the Wisps")
I agree with most of what you say in this video, and it was a joy to watch.
One other thing that I'd like to mention is that after watching your video, I checked to see what other content you had on your channel, and to my surprise, I realised that you'd also done critiques of the "Prince of Persia" series. I admit that I only ever played the second one, and that it was many years ago (I think I was around six), but I remember liking it a lot as a kid, so seeing your review of it was great. In fact, it was so well constructed that I ended up watching your videos about the first and third game back to back even though I've never played them.
Also, this is just a question sparked by pure curiosity, but how come you started uploading video game critiques? I'm just wondering since it appears that many of your initial videos are about travel and hiking. Not saying any of this is bad mind you; I simply find it an interesting combination of videos - not something you see everyday. I guess you just wanted to do something different and voice your opininon on your favourite games?
Okay anyway, enough rambling. As a final note, I simply want to say that I can't wait for your critique of Will of the Wisps - I'm definitely looking forward to that one!

I've spent the last days battling a Disney copyright, but believe me Will of the Wisps is coming!
It's really cool to hear someone was motivated to watch through the whole series even without playing, because that's an exact experience I've had with other great long-form creators like Noah Caldwell-Gervais (who you should check out if you haven't already).
Honestly, the channel is just a reflection of the stuff I like-I like hiking and stories. Travel vlogs don't trend as well as videogame content, but I'm hoping I can just keep publishing media critiques (for film and games) with the odd travel video. While most people probably subscribe for the gaming content, I'd really like to be able to encourage some people to appreciate the story and journey of a good hike or travel experience too 😂.
Thanks for commenting! Was cool to hear your thoughts.

47:44 This bit here. I think you're humanizing the forest here. Don't forget this is nature, anything goes, shit happens.
Since when did humans feel like nature owes them an apology for all the millions of deaths caused by natural disasters like floods, typhoons, etc.
On my first playthrough, when I found out about Kuro's past, I didn't think her motivation was revenge but rather the safety for her last egg. Nature takes its course. There's no "sorry" when it comes to nature.

One of the supposed virtues of intelligence is that people can choose to be better than blind nature. Any blamelessness comes from a lack of choice, not from making a virtue of selfishness.

I'm not sure when they added it in, because I only got around to this game recently, but the easy difficulty adds checkpointing to the escape sequences.

I loved your input, thank you. I also appreciate you pointing out the biblical themes, did you know Ori means my light in Hebrew?

Might I suggest doing a shorter video talking through Journey? A true classic of a game.

Interesting suggestion! I vaguely remember this being an esoteric multi-player co-op? Do people even still play through it?
