If it wasn't possible before, it was because of limitations. Updating to new versions was the best thing they could do.

@@TeddyBear-mj5fq yea ik about old versions limitations, i just didnt expect this to actually be done even with new versions after seeing what a weird goofy update 2.0 was. I really hope that ai quality matches those models since they deserve it and that the artists who made the models were paid.

Having just checked the info page: What do you mean you just casually reworked the vast majority of Wynncraft's encounters and ambience in just ONE update?! And while you are on the side also working on Fruma too, so you are pulling this off with split resources. Are you crazy? How? This rivals 2.0 in terms of scale!
My utmost respect for all the hard work you all are putting into this Minecraft Server. Safe to say you are blowing my mind and whole big budget game studios out of the water every step of the way and it is an insane thing to witness.
For real, the scale of the past few updates has been ridiculous.

ModelEngine is a powerful and incredibly optimised plugin, im assuming that is what they are also using. I really hope that wynncraft keeps going in this direction and absolutely peaks in its quality finally using its full potential
Man i hope the count down sound effect at 0:59 is actually in the update, it sounds so powerful.

It's not a resource pack, they build models out of entities
They use Model Engine (Plugin). This is one of the advantages of having updated to new versions.

Look at modelengine minecraft plugin or mcmodels stuff, this IS REAL. I do have some experience with this too and im not lying when i say that this is INSANELY WELL OPTIMISED. From my experience i assume if TCC together has like 20 armor stands making up its body, you would need to spawn like 50 of them at the same time to start lagging a small server, and wynn is no small server. This is also really good for fps, it barely makes a difference.
THis may actually be a legendary update without goofy bugs, lag and balancing like 2.0 was on release and still is.
@@yo_utub-e again, we do not use ModelEngine. Basically are of our plugins are made in house, by our developers.

Is Model Engine (plugin)
modelengine plugin with blockbench models specifically made to work with modelengine (7x7x7 max cube/armorstand size, 22.5° and 45° only allowed cube rotations, as little armorstands on the mob as possible to keep it optimised, etc) I do blockbench stuff too and have some experience with this and this makes me really excited for this update knowig the potential of this

nothing beats the feeling of coming back to wynncraft every year or so and making a fresh new slot to experience it all over again

The boss animations and the new models look sick, and I've been looking forward to world events for so long. Also they somehow made the game more immersive!? This update gonna be crazy!
The fact that they have given this upgrade to basically every enemy in the game too just blows my mind. The wiki will have so much to catch up on.

It's insane how long this Server has lasted and I'm so happy it did, even though I don't even play on it, I just know it's some quality stuff right there.
I think it would be good if a/multiple shaders are recommended, I always bang my head finding which one fits well lol
I really love how much effort they go through to make the game more fun for players in all stages of rhe game

Ive never heard of Wynncraft before but seeing this on August 8th makes it feel like I learned about it at the perfect time
NO WAY...ill just demonstrate my reaction:
*Sees Raid of Light: * "Endgame content update?"
*Deer starts to move down: * "Wait is that already ingame?" (i am mid game havent done raid of light yet)
*Deer runs forward: * "ITS RUNNING OMG ITS NOT JUST T POSE FLOATING TOWARDS ME NO WAY"
*Change scene to birds on trees: * "BOOOOOOORRRRRDDDDDDDDD YAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSS"
What's crazier is the update info on the website: It sounds like they are reworking the entire enemy side of combat for the game, which in my opinion is a crazier feat than 2.0's rework of the player classes. That's just so much to do in just a single update and while using some of their resources to work on Fruma as well too, so this isn't even the result of a fully focussed effort. This is just them doing another one of their major updates like it's not that big of a deal.
@@remor698 This update will definitely help a lot to build the framework of Fruma. With how incredible the enemy designs can get now, imagine the insanity Fruma content will bring to the table.

Mine has decided to go into orbit on the other side of the planet after reading through the linked update info page. I think there are more broad categories of things that do get a major facelift in this update than ones that don't.

usually game updates get from better to worse but this server proved that u can go from good to better to even better, I like where this is heading so please keep these good updates
This is an amazing update for an amazing server. One of the best MMORPGs ever made being in Minecraft is so fitting.

yeah i think i saw someone say even salted has to use performance enhancing mods for the large bosses haha......
I have experience with modelengine mobs and blockbench modeling, those things are REALLY REALLY WELL optimised, both for fps and not lagging the server
@@szkraft220 If thats true then whoever made those models did a poor job optimising them, ive made some big models too few times and they did not lag at all. I play on a laptop.

Its crazy that they really make animated mobs without mods
You'd be surprised how much you can do by segmenting things into entities and then moving those around individually. What's way crazier to me is the absolute scale of this update. Like they are touching up not just bosses and raids and stuff, it's all of the ambience, basically all of the enemies, so much of the UI and then some extra bits on top that could each have easily been a standalone mini update too.
The info page for this update, linked in the description, is a mind boggling thing to read.

At this level of profession, it feels like a totally different RPG-game which doesn't look like Minecraft anymore. this update is another mechanics overhaul and VISUAL overhaul, MAJOR visual overhaul if you havent noticed.
I have actually no idea how they were able to develop an update of this insane scale in parallel to Fruma.

For years now I wonder "how is it that you don't need mods for this?". "The Legend of Notch" was a modpack yet this server is just vanilla. Very impressive.
You should have just called this update 3.0. I mean this is way more than a “minor” 2.1. Would have been so funny going from 2.0 directly after to 3.0.
Their way of doing versions is weird. Gavel update literally changed the game forever and established the core gameplay mechanics we can still see to* this day, yet it was 1.14? While spellbound which also changed the game forever got the 2.0 as deserved, and now they are back again to give a gamechanger update 2.1?
Imo gavel should have been 2.0, spellbound 3.0 and rekindled 4.0, literally different wynncrafts
@@daridon2483 yeah, I think Salted decides what versioning they give each update. Normally a MAJOR update is 2.0,3.0 etc. MINOR is 2.1, 2.3 erc and PATCH is 2.0.1, 2.0.2 etc.
I do remember when i played back in the day when gavel released that Salted forgot to name the update 2.0 and instead gave it a MINOR update or what wynncraft calls a MAJOR update.
I do agree, this should have been 4.0 according to the size of some updates.

i remember playing this, stopping, and then doing it again to end up at around 88 i think, stopped because i didn't have enough time + my internet is weak as hell. I loved the lore of this server, glad to see despite my abscence people can enjoy this

I wanted a pet so I tried my best to stay up at 3am, but I never expected the stream to end in less than 2 minutes, and it ended while I was away. It's sad.

Imo, one of the things that felt lacking in Wynncraft was World Events. Hopefully, this encourages people to travel to an upcoming World Event in servers because people are sprawled out in different areas and you rarely see a player playing in the same server you are on which kinda doesnt feel like its multiplayer, hopefully this does encourage that because I am kinda bored of doing things on my own and even with my friends I want a full on 20 player event where everyone participates to defeat some boss or something in an area in the world.
