I just got the new Glock 19X. I took it to the range, I shot it and I loved it. I think it’s going to be my new EDC, but I’ve got a dilemma. I’ve got the 19X and I love it, but I love my 19 gen 5 and so I don’t know which one to carry. So I decided I’m just going to carry them both!
With the right set-up you could both the 19X and the 19 IWB or appendix carry if you wanted to, but that makes carrying one gun even easier. A lot of people are gravitating towards the G43, the G43X, the G26 or even the 48 because they don’t think its doable to carry a full size gun IWB or AIWB like the 19X or even a compact like the 19, but it totally is doable. In fact I’ve got both the 19X and the 19 on my person in this video. It hides very very well (no printing) with the right IWB holster setup. The right setup will produce effective, comfortable concealed carry for everyday and all day carry of the Glock 19X or G19.
In this video you will see the right setup to achieve stability, comfort and concealment that will allow you to carry the Glock 19X, Glock 19 or any other full size or compact gun effectively all day in comfort. The Max IWB can be used as a strong side IWB holster or appendix carry holster.

That looks very nice. I'm considering this for my G17. I'm 5'7" and 155 lbs, I went from carrying single stacks to subcompacts to a G17 and don't see myself going back.
I did almost the same thing and ended up on the full size fire arm end of things, but still carry sub compacts and single stacks - glock 26 and 43 on certain occasions.
I appendix carry my Glock 45 better than my 43. The 43 drives into my pelvis when I sit but the 45 just sits perfectly.

I stopped searching for holsters to carry my Glock 30s and my Sig P360 after I found the Kydex IWB. They are nearly indestructible and the finish on my Glock hasn’t been scratched or damaged either since I began keeping it in the Kydex style holster since 2016. The retention on the slide and frame is perfect, providing a very easy draw and a satisfying click sound as the firearm is holstered.

Hard not to scratch finish on Kydex holsters I've tried . Not that it bothers me but my cheap Blackhawk doesn't scratch finish cause it's smooth as glass on inside .

I actually do carry 2 pistols. Can't beat a glock with a stick. Literally LOL. My glock 19 is on my hip and my smith n Wesson shield in front. I don't get to shoot much anymore because of ammo shortage and stupid price it cost if you do find any. I miss the 90s when I could shoot every weekend.

Took me some digging around to figure out the name/brand of the holsters you are referring to. Also, looking at the comments, others feel the same. I love the holsters and I think the video should emphasize where/how you can get them. BTW; the company is tactipac.

@@mthembusithabiso1160 The full-size GLOCK 17 frame and the compact GLOCK 19 slide, evey since i was trained with handguns/sidearms I've carried full size semi auto fire arms , so with 19x being a compact crossover , i become comfortable until it specifically became my EDC, shoots awesome, grip extension, a great all round pistol.
I know a guy who carries two sig p320s aimed at his jewels 24/7 he’s wild
I conceal a 19x and have been doing it for years. In comparison it’s really not much taller than a Glock 19 or a Sig 320 x and shorter than the Sig 320x carry.

but how carry holster if gun have under barrel flashlight, normal human need flaslight because gun need use dark night time lot more than day time self defence EDC gun. EDC have ok but daytime not newer need use. only night have dangerous time.

@@birddog2972 A bit of belly helps conceal imo, as it will stick out over the gun and help a loose shirt drape right over it in most places instead of resting against it. If it's so much gut that it gets in the way of drawing then you might have a problem.

I'm gonna buy one as motivation to lose weight so that I can eventually use it with my 19x.
I went from 209 down to 160s now eating KETO. It is a great / healthy way to eat and helps you lose weight and keep it off. Makes appendix carry very easy.

I currently own a Tier 1 Axis Elite, I was initially blown away with the amount of features and level of conceal ability it has, even with the side car attached. Tho this holster looks way more comfortable, any body else made the switch ?

I’m tempted to get the Glock19X now then. I mean hearing it’s not for concealed carry however maybe it could be a good gun for me to carry anyway though.

@@andrewtanczyk4009 Yes, because compared to a 43x you would be carrying almost double the weight and size. So, it’s relative to what u can carry and then as I said just depends on you - if u want to carry the extra weight. Personally, I carry the largest gun possible that I can comfortably carry and conceal. Capacity and barrel length help tremendously when considering shots on target.

Why couldn't you use the one you said is for appendix carry, on your strong side, say at 4:00 ?
You can use the Max with lever / wedge for strong side hip carry, you would just need to adjust the Grip Hook clip for the desired cant. The video was just showing "optimal" set up. While you can use the Max with lever and wedge in any position it is optimized for appendix carry and a zero cant angle.

Can you use the holster with the lever as a strong side holster as well? I prefer carrying strong side but I Think the lever would still work well in my strong side. Would that still work?
Thanks for the comment. The lever is specifically designed for appendix carry due to the 0 degree position of the belt clip. The lever can be used in the strong side hip position, however it may reduce the possible degree of cant with the belt clip to roughly 15 degrees. I hope this helps. God bless you and yours.

If I swap a 19x frame with a 19 frame will the holster still work as intended? I assume only the grip portion is different in size which is outside the holster?

We’re by this holster please
I’m a 6 foot dude while skinnier but with some extra chub in my gut. I’ve been looking at the Glock 19 and 19x for CC appendix carry since I don’t like the smaller compact size weapons. I was curious if the extra long handle on the x would be an issue for comfort and printing.
That is a question only you can answer. I have no problem carrying the X or the G19. I don't have a six pack of abs, but I don't have a gut really either. You would just have to try the gun out in the appendix position and see if it works for you. I don't believe printing will be an issue for your with the correct set up, but the handle comfort I am not sure about based on your body type.
I like the My Pillow on the back. Tactical naps are a thing for me. They should call this the ZZZZZ-Series. Is it impervious to drool?

That was a great presentation.
A few years ago I worked the night shift on a maintenance crew at my borough building. Everything from painting to taking out the trash. Part of that brought me inside the police department, which was of course was always staffed. Every single night I had my Glock 27 iwb appendix carry. It wasn’t forbidden but none of the officers ever noticed. I love appendix carry. Never an issue......until I sat down.
I’m concerned the things that make your holster hold the gun tight against the body would only increase that problem.
In your honest opinion if you sat down with that 19X in your belt is it absolutely digging into your abdomen?
Where I’m at there’s nothing on the books about printing. I understand the less people that know the better (at least in certain situations) but I’m wondering if the trade-off is worth it.

I checked out the website. Doesnt show many colors and the drop downs are a little hard to figure out, example the approved colors. What are those? What do they look like.

I can see it being comfortable all day when standing, but what about when you sit? Pushing a full size grip close to the body is nice, but I would think it wouldn’t feel great when you go 90 degrees.
Thanks for the comment. Sitting is NOT AN ISSUE at all AS LONG AS your PANTS are WORN at the CORRECT HEIGHT. Most people have a problem with their pants being worn on their hips instead of their waist line. Modern cut pants cater to this problem. However, if you actually wear the holster in the appendix position at the correct height it simply lays flat against your abdomen when you sit. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment. Just my opinion, but if you already have a 365 you don't need the Hellcat at all. The 19X is a GIANT gun compared to the 365 and it almost doubles the capacity. So, if you want a combat pistol get the 19X, but if you want another small gun that offers nothing you don't already have in the Sig 365 then get the Hellcat. Again, just my opinion.

Thanks for the comment. All holsters contact the slide of the gun by design. However, Kydex is one of the most frictionless and least wearing materials on the market - why its so popular for holsters. HOWEVER, all holsters will wear the gun finish over time, some more than others. So, the rule of thumb is if you don't want the gun to get worn or scratched just keep it in the safe or the display case and buy a different gun to use as your every day carry tool. Hope this helps. I got a 43x to have as my daily driver for EDC....and honestly I love it. Except I recently fell involve with the Shadow Systems MR920. I just put a down payment on one to reserve one that I pick up in a couple of days that comes with the threaded barrel and a holosun 507c V2.....and im really really REALLY scared - im gonna end up carrying my Shadow Systems over my 43X. The 43X is cool....but man - 10 round mags? Ok ok - 15 rounds if I get a shield arms magazine but then have to change out my mag release to a metal one to avoid wear on the mag release....but 15 rounds, plus another 15 round mag with a 5 round extended...totall of 35 rounds on me while carrying? and a full size, easily controllable weapon? idk....that sounds nice to me. My problem is I haven't invested in a good holster on my 43X. Ive only bought what I can find locally. So im afraid im gonna order a good custom holster online for the shadow systems, this full size glock style system with 2 mags is just gonna disappear in my tight fitted shirts I like to wear....and my 43X is just gonna collect dust.

I carry a TP9 Elite SC by Canik and it’s a little chunkier than a 43x. It’s got a brass backstrap and brass +4 mag extension. It makes it heavier and better to shoot but it’s still a small gun. I’m looking and getting a full size gun, same as you
@@Chase1297 whats funny is i made this comment a year ago and im still carrying the 43 XDDD I got a Trex Arms sidecar and it really is nice to EDC. i can wear my tight fitted shirts and have zero print. At first training with drawing from the holster, it was strainge getting a good grip on draw but the more and more i trained its now second nature. Recently AGAIN ive been thinking of maybe getting a T1C holster for the Shadow Systems MR920 and maybe carry that some days and see how i like it

The lever is the bar that is attached to the holster (in the video) by the two retention screws under the trigger guard. Will maximum can’t interfere with the claw on that holster ?
Jim, the lever is designed specifically for appendix carry. If you are canting the holster max negative or positive most likely you are not carrying appendix so you would not need the lever installed on the holster. A maximum negative cant angle would allow the belt clip to touch the lever - positive (forward) would not. Thanks for the comment and God bless you and yours!
What's the difference from the 19x and the regular glock 19 ? Are there any better specs?
Thanks for the comment. The Gen 5 19 and 19 X are the same as far as holster fit goes. The 19 Gen 5 models are a little different and larger in some slide dimensions as compared to the 19 Gen 4 though. Not sure if this is what you are asking or not?

@@rav6274 No difference in effective recoil; however the larger handle on the 19x makes it seem more comfortable and controlled to me (and I suppose it actually is) - so in effect it is easier to manage the recoil while shooting the 19x as compared to the 19 - if that makes sense.
The 19x is the slide length of a gen5 19 with the grip length of a 17 so dependant upon hand size you can achieve a better grip. For me the gen 5 19 is perfect all around and with the medium back strap i get a nice full grip which gives me great control over the weapon.

Question I’ve never personally owned the hard cases like this I’ve always used the nylon type does the hard type scratch the paint of the gun at all are does it damage it in anyway
Thanks for the question. Kydex is softer than steel. Most factory finishes hold up well, BUT ALL WILL experience wear and tear over time, especially when used as a daily carry. So, yes Kydex and all other materials do have the ability to wear the finish on the slide of the gun. But remember, your gun is a tool and if you use it as one it will have wear and tear. What color is that? Also on the website what are the approved custom options, all I see are numbers, no explanations or options for custom
The color for the 19X is Coyote Brown Carbon Fiber. We have seen slight variations in shade depending on the run or supplier, but basically it is really close to what Glock calls FDE on there 19X. Our FDE Carbon Fiber does not look at all close to the Glock 19X color. If you need custom work just email sales@tactipac.com and we can let you know if your option is available such as lights, lasers, RMR or optic cuts for particular accessories.
Sitting is a different story. Will this work with a beer gut?
If your beer gut prevents you from carrying appendix or strong side hip carry with the holster you currently have - our holster isn't going to change that. If you can carry currently with the beer gut, but the holster contacting your body is uncomfortable - ours will make it comfortable but it still won't help the beer gut, sorry.

Yes I personally can carry the 19X, 17 or 19 just as easily and actually prefer carrying the bigger of them. Its all about placement, holster and clothing. Not difficult to do.

The Max is custom molded to the exact firearm. So, no your Mantis X will not fit inside the holster.

I could never conceal appendix, even with a g26.. Im skinny so you can definitely tell, it looks like I'm a destended bellied malnourished African kid...

I've recently been wearing "oversized shirts" in my size.. they still fit my chest. But are a tad longer and looser bellow the belly button. Its the only shirts I've been buying now.

Glock 45 has the same dimensions as the 19x.

@@atay5650 The serrations make no difference in size. They are only for grip and aesthetic. I carry the 45 at work and the 19x personally. They are the same.
You are correct. The 19 Gen 5, 19X and 45 (9mm) all have the same dimensions and fit the same holster.

Is this the FDE or Coyote color??
The brown in the video is coyote brown. However keep in mind from time to time the color shade varies from the manufacturer slightly. The one in the video is almost a perfect match to the 19x color, but we have had slightly darker and lighter runs in the coyote brown carbon fiber material.
Anthony Battaglia , I’ve got a 19x too, which because it’s described as FDE, you would think the FDE color way would match better, but I do agree that your Coyote Brown matches really nice!
