Sick shirt boys love it!
After a while you just forget about the Buzz
Hey guys when is toolpro releasing new half inch ratchet
Those new shirts are sweet 👍
Is that a KTM Orange El Camino?
The nugget garage intro got me good 😂😂
I actually laughed out loud at it. So good. 😂
Yep, that was so good😄
Hahaha gold, so good.
Yeah I even came back to laugh at it again haha love the banter lmao 😂
The laugh kills me 🤣🤣🤣
I never realized I wanted to see a Cummins in a Patrol until I’ve seen a Cummins go into a Patrol.
Cummins swap the world.
They just make sense.
TSF makes me want to see a whole lot of engines swapped into a patrol :)
Nothing wrong with original motor . . TD42's are kettles , news to me man . . something stinks of Hollywood disease here about's . . YT partnership = CIA Biden etc & world current tyranny . . these two fools

This paints an amusing mental image of the roadways in Australia :D

Imagine the brackets......
I need that old AC bracket back for a Cummins swap I'm putting into an Escalade. Can I have it back?
Ask them to hit it with some salt water before sending it back so it's back to Canadian spec.
It's on ebay. It's a core so you'll need to rebuild it. $700CAD.
Rich trade him for a lawn tractor hydraulic rotor motor or something hilarious
Should dress Alan’s young bloke up as Alan and get him to do an intro
🤣

Lmfao thank you!!!!!
Not all capes wear heroes!
Nic and Richard will indeed be proud of that bracket
No - it didn't take three weeks to produce, where's the weld through primer? And where's the sixteen totally un-necessary additional stiffening returns ?
Time to stick the kettle on!
No buzzing here. Great episode! Can’t wait to see this patrol rolling coal!
Honestly no buzz for me and I'm pretty sensitive to audio hiss/buzz.

O fantastic the maggot packs, and sausage rolls have arrived. time for a brew.
It is all Cummins together quiet nicely.
There's a few key components still Nissan though 😉
Al: "The next issue is the alternator/air conditioning bracket"
Me: Right, so, onto the compound turbo kit.
At the power level he wants compound would be a pointless headache and expense. Now if he went for a 1000+hp build in it with compounds, well id watch same as i did anyway so nothing would really change lol
" ... upside down in ditches .... everywhere." 🤣
Woody needs a Tape Boss to figure out his left from right😃
The mic thing at the end was hilarious. I’ve often wondered but never said anything. Haha. The hat seems to work.
Those aluminium parts look fantastic - the fabbed air box, the machined bracket, the cut and folded bracket - love it!
Thankyou for posting this inspiring video. I have a 24 valve Cummins into a 1953 International Harvester crewcab project on hold. I have had a few health issues, but I should be back as good as 75% in the near future. Time and gravity never sleep.
That air box is a work of art 👍Every truck and plant filter I smear a bit of grease on the sealing surface helps with sealing and stopping dusting. Rock crusher dust fubar’s everything.
Sick vid guys, y'all don't realize how much we look forward to this day every week! Keep up the great work! I do miss the 40min episodes though hahaha
Well, I always knew it was the frequency of Al's voice overloading the tiny lavalier mic but I spent a portion of my younger years running sound in a performance center. Good effort trying to find a solution!
Many folks have no clue what you just said;-) But yes (I’m a ‘shade 🌲’ sound tech for my wife’s music groups when a real tech isn’t available). Take a page outta the spec ops world...bone induction mics. low noise and low cost solution (I’m also an 18yr vet;-).
So good to see Al happy and smiling again. Epic Build.
That FFM air box looks like a damn nice bit of kit 👌
Who doesn't love a bit of FFM action?!
watching Al make the bracket for the airbox i thought BoM would approve , then Woody says ' hi Nic & Richard ' .. all is good in the world
Dead set THE greatest intro to a skid factory video Al! Well done Ethyl
Like the build and the quality of the parts used. The fabrication work is first rate. You can tell this will be a long term keeper.
This is the build I never knew I wanted to see happen. what an absolute machine this thing will turn out to be. Top work lads and thanks for introducing me to Deboss Garage.
Good to see the nugget garage boys in the factory 👌
You guys are absolutely awesome love it!! I’ve never had a problem with buzzing., I’m glad al loves his new air box
Although a massive Land Cruiser fan, I love the cheeky LC digs! You drop those without even a smirk!!😏😏
Love my HDJ81, but I too enjoyed the digs!
Al knocks td42's and reckons the 1hdt is a good thing, so he's not that biased. (hdj80r owner here)
10:00 That's the longest dirt squirter I have ever seen.
I've always loved that Al has a reason for everything he does and I understand needing space for a radiator but when it comes to a hot set or any reason to take the tappet cover off... It looks like you can't....
I reckon it will come off, will check once the exhaust comes back off
@@theskidfactory I was only thinking that because the Rockers sit up higher than the head on the rocker shafts
Love that you addressed the buzzing issue! 💪
“Alan is a Chooch”!!!!! You have to watch every second of these videos and pause often ha ha! 😆 I love this channel for all of the amazing fabrication, too, and the quiet down-to-earthiness...!
The audio was excellent for Al. Nice, crisp and clear
Just finished last weeks ep and got the notification that this got posted perfect timing
Not even past the intro and already feeling happier 👍
This is the best conversion I’ve seen 👍👍👍
Thanks All i just spat my coffee out, classic nugget referance 😂👍
How about leave both snorkels just to see how people react.
Also, No buzzing here, but have you tried a windscreen on the mic?
I think the mic crackle could be due to the gain settings.... they might not be well matched to the input sensitivity of the camera, or could be too high. Alternatively they might need a different transmitter/receiver kit with better audio processing to match the output of their microphone.
WOODY- hit me up mate. I'd be happy to help, I work with about a dozen audio engineers who do this for a living.
The sound to noise to ambient ratio on Al might be set off towards grumpy instead of clear ... ;-)
This is a really cool project! This car is amazingly rust free. In Sweden Nissans are notorious for rusting away.
We don't have snow here, it's pretty much 25 degrees most of the time.
@@theskidfactory Sounds nice. Over here everything rusts away because of the road salt but I actually like our different seasons. To bad you cars have the steering wheel on the wrong side otherwice we could import some rust free ones :)
The snorkel is a genuine masterpiece 👌🏼🤣🤣
Audio and videography was spot on guy
I love the idea of Al being stuck and getting LandCruiser parts for his patrol delivered
Just ordered me a cap for work now we dont have to ware bloody hard hats everywhere.. i will still rep my hoodie from last year in winter. Bloody good one too it was!
All the money the OEM's spent developing parts, makes sense to use stuff that goes on cars with ten year or hundred thousand kays warrantee, that can be ordered over the counter, rather then be stuck somewhere waiting on a rare custom part.
Cap Mount Lapel works a treat.
That's some skilled percussive maintenance on the firewall there
22:55 Now Nick and Richard need to reply 😁
Binky FTW
Love the show. Great intro. Good to Al smiling
Na spotted the mic on ya hat! Audio is spot on! No noise at all!
Had noticed the buzzing in the past, it never really bothered me though! Love the ChrisFix shoutout too :D
I’ll bet he used to be a smoker 💨 and has since quit. Or he’s just naturally got that ‘Shawn Connery’esque voice;-)
by far my favourite channel and build on yt. makes Mondays ok
That snorkel tho cracked me up mate 😂
If you can overheat that Cummins in that little Patrol, you've accomplished something 😄
Mint, can't wait to hear it running. Cummins all the way
NICE TO SEE AL'S KIDS IN THE VIDEO
Glad the mic issue was fixed! This was much better to watch!
I know puberty changes us all, but the shop ridgeback sure did grow up different (11:53). That said, swapping fetching a ball for fetching smoko is sure a handy trick when your wrenching in the shed.
This is going to be an awesome tow rig/ go anywhere machine 🔥
Anyone else spend 10 minutes hitting pause and play repeatedly to read all the different "old cock" statements? These guys are legends.
Did a similar snorkel on a G60 (1976) Patrol. Worked well.
the buzzing is raido interferance either from a phone in the room or WIFI transmitter. the mic cable works like a antenna and picks up the random signals.
Al seemed a little extra happy and energetic in this episode, he must be excited to getting this one closer to finished!
The Beard has returned
No buzz this episode mate, all's good on this end and I'm a headphone user. Another great video fellas. Love your work and love that the humour is flowing. That Torana build took it out of you for a while.
Keep on truckin boys! what an awesome build.
That intro was gold
No throwing shade at the Hoff mans. A legend !!!!!
Thanks so much for another great episode. You guys do such a fantastic job! I'm so proud to say you blokes are from Australia hey
If you need more room where the rubber uni that goes from steering shift to steering box, you can use an 80 series one, proper uni and takes the play out that the rubber ones have
Yep that's what I used on my Duramax patrol to clear the exhaust manifold.
The billet bracket and airbox are very impressive.
Thanks guys
Great work guys . Cheers from NYC🗽🇺🇸 The audio and video are awesome👌
The brim of a hat is a pretty good spot for a mic.
Some say that mockery is the best form of friendship.
As far as the cooling system i have the factory ZD30 radiator in front of my 12 valve Cummins & it is sitting between 78 & 80 degrees with the temp sender in the back port of the head
Looking good lads can't wait to see it finished
found you from deboss garage watched the engine bild great work im in ont canada to cheers
Love the ChrisFix name drop, good bloke!
another one in the books! keep it up gents!
When machining holes with a mill drill 2 holes to suit your radius then use the cutter to mill out between the holes much quicker and doesnt wear the edges off the cutter as quick 👍🏻
Sound was great. Carry on as you are. 👍
Loving the build guys, several years ago I bought a 12v crate motor to repower a truck, Cummins came to inspect the install to issue the warranty and did exh back pressure test. They insisted on 4” system in place of the 3.5”. P.s. the K.D.P. came out soon after 🤨 gotta love a Wty.
You can sand the head lights with 800 grit with a orbital sander with a soft interface pad, and 2 pac clear them. they will look brand new
If you do that firewall mod often, maybe it would be easier to use a 10 ton porta-power with a cannonball end on it to push the firewall back in a more controlled manner. FYI - Cummins motors have an overheating issue with the rear cylinder in stock configuration, because Dodge pickups have the firewall practically wrapped around the #6 cylinder and the windshield extends over the #5 cylinder. Since your firewall appears to be quite close to the #6 cylinder, you may need to keep an eye on potential overheating problems. On rebuilt 5.9 motors they usually bore the #6 cylinder an extra .001 inch to fix the overheating issue. If you start having trouble with the #6 cylinder, there are kits to route coolant from the back freeze (core) plug to the thermostat to help circulate more coolant to the back of the motor, it may work well enough that you don't have to overbore or hone the rear cylinder.
Great stuff as always. We certainly have some great fabricators here.
Can't wait to see this thing rippin up the tracks!
might need an extension mod off the brim of al’s hat for the mic to reduce the huskiness of that sensual baritone.
Buzzing is absolutely fine, noticed none in this episode! :)
Top work as always! Hope you're keeping well.
I loved the carpenter joke because i was a chippy for 17 years before i toke my hobby of building cars in my shed and started working in a mechanical shop.made me laugh so hard
That Ned Gerblanski voice impersonation from South Park was on point 😂 👌
Fantastic update on the Cummins project guys. Shirts ordered. Following from Arizona USA. I saw the FJ V12 project... brought back memories of my Dad's FJ55. Any FJ55's In Australia? Really enjoy the Patrol project. Keep up the Great Work!
