    No better friendship to have then a mechanic and a boiler maker. I'm the mechanic and my best mate is the boily. His skills aren't required often, but when needed they are priceless to have.

    Lee is a beautiful human that deserves more positive feelings from his friends. He has what is considered the finest stick book collection in Queensland. I heard he once saved a duckling by helping it across the road. It’s said he can turn XXXX into actual beer just by holding the can.

    I have not seen chalk on the floor blueprinting in a long time. What a great visual aid for a quick teaching lesson for a young person. And everyone thought a garage flood was just meant to be swept up.

    only thing I would change is making the tail light plates recessed so the lights arent so exposed to reversing related oopsies

    Engine hoist and a nylon strap will hold that tire in place with no worries on falling.
    That thing is really coming along awesome. Best bumper ever.

    I have a tube mandrel/bender, it’s a JD squared model 3, similar to yours being ratchet system, but is only £700 for the machine and die sets around £300, made all my roll cage out of mine, did a few for mates, paid for itself in no time, quality things to have

    Anyone who had ever seen a riggers or patternmakers drawing loft in something like a shipyard with drawings the size of half a football pitch will tell it's something that CAD can never satisfy , but that progress . Great show as usual

    I expected at least one wiggle of the wheel carrier with an exclamation "that's not going anywhere!" Love the bar work! The bender you guys used looks nice and simple. Do it manually so you take the time to get it spot on 👌

    Looks awesome guys. I can certainly relate to the time taken to build one, I built my of for a gu and it takes a shit load of time but very satisfying.

    Could add a small linkage between the tire carrier and the old mount points on the door so that when unlatched they swing out together.

    Many a successful old racing car was built using the chalk on the floor method.
    I was half expecting a flash cantilever frame for the spare tyre so you could just glide from the storage position to the ground ;-)

    I'm a big fan of steel plate for making up bumpers, no real special tools or technical cad needed and pretty easy match aftermarket finish level in a home shop .
    Bending tube up is PITA get dimensions/fit right both sides and ends and infill becomes messy .
    Interesting see how blends after powder coating, expect will make big difference .
