      Yes you can shoot either uith left eye open and lots of of practice or an other thought would be wear shooting glasses with the left eye blacked out but keeping your left eye open as well.

    • @willywonka4340
      @willywonka4340 6 років тому +5

      I think what she meant was that if one starts off shooting real firearms he/she will develop bad habits due to recoil and not ingrain oneself to the fundamentals of marksmanship, mainly, sight alignment and trigger control. Recoil of real firearms will make one flinch and mask the errors, the violation, of these aforementioned 2 fundamentals. Once it's ingrained subconsciously it's almost impossible to undo. it will take MORE effort to "unlearn" flinching than to start fresh as newbies and DO IT the right way (without the recoil to mess with the successful execution of the fundamentals). That is why under the proper tutelage of a world class coaching these Olympic shooters can go from knowing zilch to Olympic Champs in 2 or 3 years time under full time training regiment, whereas folks like me who learned on their own made so many mistakes of starting out with real guns and had to backtrack and unlearn the flinching. I'm better now but the flinch would slip right back in my shooting when I'm in a pinch. Hope you understand what I'm getting at. It's just like folks learning Tennis and Golf without proper supervision by a world class coach.

    Sure let someone who shoots a laser pistol explain how to shoot. With no recoil, lock time and follow through to manage its like teaching car racing only explaining about throttle and forgetting about braking. This is why I hate the olympics; just take someone who looks good instead of a real 10m shooter actually firing a pellet. They dont want to teach, the just want to promote.

    • @willywonka4340
      @willywonka4340 6 років тому +2

      There was a time when Olympic shooting was done with center-fire rifles and pistols. Now the IOC is forcing ISSF once again to dumb it down to laser pistols for the sake of political correctness. And BTW did you know that IOC removed 50 meter Free Pistols from the Olympics, the most challenging of all shooting disciplines? Yes you're right, shooting laser pistols is akin to racing on a simulation game (GT6 anyone?) instead of actual racing in a real, not virtual, car. Without the G forces and real dangers involved it's NOT real racing! And laser pistol is NOT REAL marksmanship! I'm saddened to see this day come to fruition, that eventually REAL firearms are being removed from the Olympics. I'll just go back to NRA bullseye where they still have to shoot .45 one handed standing on hind legs...

      @@hodalkaly5617 Not a powerful round? It travels over a mile and will kill you dead, if someone is close enough to be shooting at you, especially from a rifle. I haven't even watched it yet, but theres a guy named Paul Harrell on youtube that talks about the .22 as a self defense round, and I'm pretty sure his position on a .22 is that its better than nothing, and has probably killed a deer or knows someone who did. So, my point is, a .22 can kill someone just as dead as someone shot and killed with a 7.62 round. In fact, Ive seen stats that show the .22 as one of the calibers that have killed many people, at least more than larger calibers rounds.

It is the other way around: If U can shoot with a real gun, would be no problem to handle that pellet gun or a laser gun. Should be easyer with a laser gun. No recoil, no balistic trajectory- different bullet drop with different ammunition, wind if outside, noise disturbance, time limits and so on.

      That's exactly what I was thinking! She's constantly putting her hand in front of the muzzle, finger on the trigger, and using the gun as an extension of her hands for gesturing. If I had to guess, no matter how good she may be at hitting the target, she skipped the basics - SAFETY!
      Maybe she was teaching by bad example. I don't know, I only speak English.
