It’s similar to me clickbaiting you with video to make you successful and then you become wealthy, if you later find out I clickedbaited you would you really care? I used the technique to get you but overall it’s still benefits you. Just how I view it. Depends on a frame you put it in tho. For example one guy can see this as a guarded book of tips and tricks to build attraction with girls, something he wouldn't share with anyone, and another one see this as a way of becoming more attractive himself as a man in modern day society, something he enjoys and takes pride in. Now imagine they both fail miserably in a huge shit hits the fan worst day of my year blowout, who would bounce back faster and stronger, who would have more tenacity to keep going on and grinding the wheel?

It’s amazing how I failed at every single point Todd makes here in my attempt to establish an MLTR with my first gf. Todd is spot on. I just ended a two year relationship with a girl who is very “by the book”. Straight A’s in Highschool, straight A’ s at a private college, already headed down an intense climb the ladder corporate life, never procrastinates, everything always has to be planned, etc etc. And trust me guys. It’s okay for a while, but after several months, it gets EXTREMELY boring. Especially when You two are at odds. Sure she has a better career than me, but I’m 100% fulfilled and happy. I don’t plan much and I’m very laid back, spontaneous. Namely spontaneous. And trust me= as much as it’s nice to compliment each other in a relationship, when one partner= has basically zero spontaneity and hasn’t ever thought for themselves/questions the world, that fact becomes a major friction point. Bravo Todd for pointing that out.

Quick comment. I think it's important to clarify the negotiation dynamic because it's something that a lot of dudes struggle with in LTRs. In this case I get where you're coming from. If you have negotiating leverage it works in your favor because she knows it's a great deal to be with you when negotiating a non monogamous relationship. But guys can confuse this with reaching an agreement in other aspects of the relationship like sex and genuine desire. Desire can't really be negotiated and your need to stay in the relationship fundamentally sets the frame for it. If you're willing to leave at any moment (mostly because you have other options) you control the frame. If you think she's the ONE (you will never find anyone better or at least as good as her) and you're needy for the relationship then chances are you're in her frame and she's controlling the relationship leading ultimately to loss of desire from her part and loss of that spice that gets her genuinely wanting sex from you and all the headaches that come from that situation. Thus, negotiation is something you do covertly with your behaviour and what you portray to the woman. If you do it overtly, negotiating terms, you kill the true desire. Although Todd comments on overt negotiation in the sense of setting up a non monogamous relationship this can be, and is, confused very frequently with negotiating desire in the relationship which should always be avoided. Desire is created by behaviour and what that behaviour says about you to a woman, not by negotiated terms or reaching agreements.
How can so much wisdom be packed into one 3 hour session? This is gold gold gold.

I watched every second of this. It really sucks that I didn't learn this earlier, but I can't complain because I now know at 24 what I've been doing wrong my whole life. I look at all my old texts and facebook posts from girls I liked and I didn't even think in this direction and so I didn't make anything happen. Middle school, high school, college, work...
