With that said, wouldn't it make sense that a sense of fulfillment in life would come from feeling connected with other people?

But one thing, the reasons i get afraid of being alone forever is like i want kids someday, i want a partner to build a life with because i love connection and my relationships always teach me something deeper about myself. And i dont think i could die with no regrets if i didnt get those experiences.
