This is so true...If my partner don't adore Jesus Christ and live for him...I do not want to continue a relationship with someone who do not love Jesus
5 Red flags: 1. Partner is not consistently pursuing Christ 2. Family and Friends(ideally christian family and friends) don't approve of him/her 3. Lack of healthy conflict 4. When you can't trust your partner 5. When they lead you away from Jesus
The one thing that was not discussed here is the wolf in sheep's clothing. There are those who proclaim to be sheep following Christ, but act like wolves. They may say all the right things, but later (maybe months, even years later) the true person emerges. The red flags are not always apparent, especially early on in a relationship.
I’ve dealt with this first hand. I didn’t know the warning signs, but looking back on it, I can confidently say that “love-bombing” is actually a huge red flag! Pay attention and ask for discernment.
Love this! I married a believer. However, we were faithless at times. We were so young when we met (I was 18). We faced traumatic events. We were foolish at times. We loved each other through things. Love indeed never fails. Forty years have passed… and we are still married! To GOD be the glory!! We are so grateful!!!

Truly an amazing message. I married an amazing woman who helped me come closer to God. But I struggled in our marriage. I allowed the devil in and threw so many red flags at her. She tried so very hard to help me but I let the darkness in. She made the wise decision to leave me. It broke me. I never felt so much pain in my life. But it was at that time, in the darkest place in my life, God grabbed me and lifted me up. I am now the happiest I have ever been because I follow Christ and rebuked the devil from my life. I will always be sorry for pushing my ex wife away but I am grateful for the lesson and the new life of walking with God.

This is actually happened to me right now😢. We broke up because I obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit. That person really mean so much to me but I love Jesus so much too. I'm not regret but I actually hurt and so much pain 😭. I'm still praying for healing and restoration of heart. I'm praying too that he will be saved before the Lord's second coming.

Find a women that loves u so deeply that u never have to compete with her ….. find a portal where u can work grow togther but most importantly your women allows her man to have the legacies he wants …. The number one thing is what Pastor Craig led with. If they are following Christ, love Jesus, I truly believe everything else gets worked out. I ignored this primary red flag to my detriment and my children's. It is disobedience actually plain and simple.
I really needed to hear this message today. Me and my fiance broke up recently. I ignored all the warning signs that i saw because i wanted it to work. It blew up and we both got hurt. Same here, my relationship with my now ex boyfriend recently ended and we were going to get engaged. I realized we weren’t ready for marriage and he was not pursuing Jesus the way he said he was. I ignored the signs because I wanted it to work also.
She broke up with me through text, then wanted me back, and I rejected. I’ve been embracing the pain and lessons with God and myself alone for 2 years since then.
I needed to hear this exactly at this moment! I am currently experiencing the end of a 1 year relationship. If I would’ve listen to advice 35 years ago, I would not have dated my ex husband now! Divorce hurts…. Listen to the Word and follow Jesus! After 25 yrs of marriage he walked away leaving us (4 kids) now single and another relationship for 4 years failed! Do things right land stay close to Jesus ❤
I appreciated the part about "I can't believe I just said that in Church." I think it's important to speak of such things at church in the appropriate context as was done today.
I have just ended a dating relationship with a church and Evangelical rehab center staff. Even when he is doing some work in the church, all he really cared in this relationship is my body despite the advice from a church member who took the rehab program with him (they both came to this rehab center at the same time and have been clean for 4 years), and the church and rehab center rules for interactions between a man and a woman. I many times tried to warn him to keep purity in dating relationships because I was taught carefully by pastors and school teachers on this matter, and I escaped a relationship where the other person only wants to satisfy his flesh. He ignored and guilt tripped me for being unloving and found all occasions to touch me where I don't want to. Thanked GOD that after I felt so uneasy and prayed, HE made that man broke up with me so I don't have to explain to his parents (I met his parents, he met my mother and his mother met my mother). My close friends in this church introduced this man to me, including the leaders and elders. If it wasn't for trusting them, I wouldn't have even cared about dating. Not every church staff is after GOD-Jesus's heart. The one gave advice now is married and waiting for his first born son to be born. The one ignoring the advice is still wanting.
I'm really glad that you listened to God on this and got out of the relationship. Sometimes people only know somebody from the outside. Often it's only when you date them or know them very well, that you see that they are not following Christ closely.
Been in this situation. He was introduced by his Christian friends who gave me all the Bible verses just to convince me to entertain this guy because accdg to them, he is really kind and loving. Turned out he is verbally abusive. Thank God I got out of the relationship! Just because they seem to be kind outside doesn’t mean they really are. That’s why we need to study the character of a person before letting them in into our lives. Be careful who you let into your life. Be gentle like a dove, be wise as a serpent.
2. Be mindful of you have ungodly friends who have other motives. Ladies be mindful of friends that want to compete against you, or, don't like how boring/logical your relationship is.
Good luck finding this person in this present age!.. after striking out all the red flags, we are left to loving and finding peace in God and within ourselves .. That is true Happiness! with waiting on Gods timing, the right person will show up. But,Remember Gods timing not ours!.. GodBless!

That in itself is a red flag if she is married. If she is going through a separation she should not be looking for another spouse but rather allowing God to heal her and establish her in firm footing otherwise she will go and make another mistake.

Thank you for this, I struggled with relationships a lot starting to date at 16 (mostly for attention and peer pressure) and told myself pretty much every excuse you list. I wish I would have had a loving church explain this to me and my youth group. It might have saved me a ton of hurt and emotional abuse
I don’t want to ever idolize marriage or try to treat it like it will fill any void I have. I know it won’t. Only God can do this. I guess for me, because it’s so hard to find men that take their walk with God seriously, I get more and more discouraged about ever finding a spouse (or him finding me). It would be so much easier if God would just take my desire to be married away…which I have begged Him to do….not sure why He hasn’t…I really want to honor God with my life without distraction….yet I still see a beautiful purpose in two people coming together and honoring God in their union…idk I just get very discouraged with this dating topic. I unfortunately have compromised and dated men that just are not living up to that standard and it just isn’t worth it - so much heartache in the process! I had to get him arrested for putting his hands around my neck. He left for 6 nights. Jail and living with his parents. My daughter and I welcomed him back with open arms after 6 days. He quit vodka 3 weeks ago!!!!! We are so happy to live a peaceful life now. ❤ Prayer is powerful! 24 years of praying for him to stop drinking. Walk away from missionary dating, thinking you will win the person to Jesus. Pay attention to red flags and blind spots, they get worse after marriage. Deal with baggage before you get to committed and heart broken.
I am amazed at what he has said that I have encountered. If you can't trust someone, make sure you're healed and ready to date first. You could find someone amazing and then put them through the ringer from your own past and not healed wounds.
Love can make you do an awful thing- ignore god. God says don’t follow your heart, your heart will deceive you, listen to me. Took me years and heartbreak to listen. Thank goodness we have a patient forgiving god.

It would be VERY painful! However, you've GOT TO do it! In this current world you HAVE TO learn to force yourself to do painful things. This world is NO paradise and DON'T even expect it to be! I love me some Jesus. I read scripture. I attend church (mostly online). I praise and worship. I love to the best of my ability, I forgive quickly, I am slow to anger, and I extend grace in never ending handfuls. I am not perfect but I am committed to following Jesus. BUT I never open a conversation with "Hi, my name is Monika and I love Jesus." And I don't think that should be considered a red flag. My relationship with Jesus is intimate and personal and will be spoken about when I am ready.
I'm sad and feel empty. I feel nothing but when I listened to this song. I can't stop myself from crying because I can feel the love of God to me. I'm still awake and overthinking everything. Truly an amazing message. I married an amazing woman who helped me come closer to God. But I struggled in our marriage. I allowed the devil in and threw so many red flags at her. She tried so very hard to help me but I let the darkness in. She made the wise decision to leave me. It broke me. I never felt so much pain in my life. But it was at that time, in the darkest place in my life, God grabbed me and lifted me up. I am now the happiest I have ever been because I follow Christ and rebuked the devil from my life. I will always be sorry for pushing my ex wife away but I am grateful for the lesson and the new life of walking with God.

This is actually happened to me right now😢. We broke up because I obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit. That person really mean so much to me but I love Jesus so much too.
I'm not regret but I actually hurt and so much pain 😭. I'm still praying for healing and restoration of heart. I'm praying too that he will be saved before the Lord's second coming.

The number one thing is what Pastor Craig led with. If they are following Christ, love Jesus, I truly believe everything else gets worked out. I ignored this primary red flag to my detriment and my children's. It is disobedience actually plain and simple.
I really needed to hear this message today. Me and my fiance broke up recently. I ignored all the warning signs that i saw because i wanted it to work. It blew up and we both got hurt. This message was helpful. I want to learn from how it went down, pursue Jesus, and do it right the next time someone is blessed into my life.

Same here, my relationship with my now ex boyfriend recently ended and we were going to get engaged. I realized we weren’t ready for marriage and he was not pursuing Jesus the way he said he was. I ignored the signs because I wanted it to work also.

If I would’ve listen to advice 35 years ago, I would not have dated my ex husband now! Divorce hurts…. Listen to the Word and follow Jesus! After 25 yrs of marriage he walked away leaving us (4 kids) now single and another relationship for 4 years failed! Do things right land stay close to Jesus ❤

I have just ended a dating relationship with a church and Evangelical rehab center staff. Even when he is doing some work in the church, all he really cared in this relationship is my body despite the advice from a church member who took the rehab program with him (they both came to this rehab center at the same time and have been clean for 4 years), and the church and rehab center rules for interactions between a man and a woman. I many times tried to warn him to keep purity in dating relationships because I was taught carefully by pastors and school teachers on this matter, and I escaped a relationship where the other person only wants to satisfy his flesh. He ignored and guilt tripped me for being unloving and found all occasions to touch me where I don't want to.
Thanked GOD that after I felt so uneasy and prayed, HE made that man broke up with me so I don't have to explain to his parents (I met his parents, he met my mother and his mother met my mother). My close friends in this church introduced this man to me, including the leaders and elders. If it wasn't for trusting them, I wouldn't have even cared about dating.
Not every church staff is after GOD-Jesus's heart. The one gave advice now is married and waiting for his first born son to be born. The one ignoring the advice is still wanting.
I'm really glad that you listened to God on this and got out of the relationship. Sometimes people only know somebody from the outside. Often it's only when you date them or know them very well, that you see that they are not following Christ closely.

Been in this situation. He was introduced by his Christian friends who gave me all the Bible verses just to convince me to entertain this guy because accdg to them, he is really kind and loving. Turned out he is verbally abusive. Thank God I got out of the relationship!
Just because they seem to be kind outside doesn’t mean they really are. That’s why we need to study the character of a person before letting them in into our lives. Be careful who you let into your life.
Be gentle like a dove, be wise as a serpent.
2. Be mindful of you have ungodly friends who have other motives. Ladies be mindful of friends that want to compete against you, or, don't like how boring/logical your relationship is.

That in itself is a red flag if she is married. If she is going through a separation she should not be looking for another spouse but rather allowing God to heal her and establish her in firm footing otherwise she will go and make another mistake.

Thank you for this, I struggled with relationships a lot starting to date at 16 (mostly for attention and peer pressure) and told myself pretty much every excuse you list. I don’t want to ever idolize marriage or try to treat it like it will fill any void I have. I know it won’t. Only God can do this. I guess for me, because it’s so hard to find men that take their walk with God seriously, I get more and more discouraged about ever finding a spouse (or him finding me). It would be so much easier if God would just take my desire to be married away…which I have begged Him to do….not sure why He hasn’t…I really want to honor God with my life without distraction….yet I still see a beautiful purpose in two people coming together and honoring God in their union…idk I just get very discouraged with this dating topic. I unfortunately have compromised and dated men that just are not living up to that standard and it just isn’t worth it - so much heartache in the process! Ty for this message. ❤. The alcoholism was a sign 24 years ago with my hubbs. I dealt with the awful behavior for years and years. Christmas Eve was a crap show. I had to get him arrested for putting his hands around my neck. He left for 6 nights. Jail and living with his parents. My daughter and I welcomed him back with open arms after 6 days. He quit vodka 3 weeks ago!!!!! We are so happy to live a peaceful life now. ❤
Prayer is powerful! 24 years of praying for him to stop drinking. We are blessed! ❤ don’t ever give up praying for your loved ones.

Walk away from missionary dating, thinking you will win the person to Jesus. Pay attention to red flags and blind spots, they get worse after marriage. Deal with baggage before you get to committed and heart broken.

I am amazed at what he has said that I have encountered. If you can't trust someone, make sure you're healed and ready to date first. You could find someone amazing and then put them through the ringer from your own past and not healed wounds.
Love can make you do an awful thing- ignore god. God says don’t follow your heart, your heart will deceive you, listen to me. Took me years and heartbreak to listen. Thank goodness we have a patient forgiving god.

It would be VERY painful! However, you've GOT TO do it! In this current world you HAVE TO learn to force yourself to do painful things. This world is NO paradise and DON'T even expect it to be! The paradise is in the World to Come for Christian Believers! However, you will RUIN your life if you get hooked up with the wrong person.

I love me some Jesus. I read scripture. I attend church (mostly online). I praise and worship. I love to the best of my ability, I forgive quickly, I am slow to anger, and I extend grace in never ending handfuls. I am not perfect but I am committed to following Jesus. BUT I never open a conversation with "Hi, my name is Monika and I love Jesus." And I don't think that should be considered a red flag. My relationship with Jesus is intimate and personal and will be spoken about when I am ready.
I'm sad and feel empty. I feel nothing but when I listened to this song. I can't stop myself from crying because I can feel the love of God to me. I'm still awake and overthinking everything. I don't even know the purpose of my life. I'm a shy person so, I don't usually talk to other people about my feelings. That's why I'm happy because I found this song and it helps me to express myself by sharing how I felt.

People should ask God to direct, show, connect them to their spouse. And we should pray and ask for the spirit of discernment. Relationships and marriage belongs to God and He wants to help. The book of proverbs 19vs 14 says: a prudent wife is from the Lord.
