I just started binge watching these right after each other when the snatch video was so good. I was originally afraid of doing clean and jerk because the weights are bigger, and because I wanted to gain more mobility from snatching. Little did I know that clean and jerk was easier and more comfortable. Also practicing clean and front squat is really practical if you have a barbell at home but no squat rack. If someone wants to see a really beautiful clean and jerk, Gabriel Sincraian in Rio Olympics. His snatch is work of art as well to be fair, so fast and snappy. I think there's one relevant factor that can play into the elbows in front rack: elbows up you have a better shelf from the shoulders for the bar, which might prevent the bar from pressing the vein and you getting dizzy. It might not happen though, or it might happen nevertheless so everybody's best guess. I think just doing front squats already goes a long way to help with many c&j habits, you just get used to controlling the weight in the front rack. I think some professional lifter's coach would give one cue and the lifter would work that for multiple weeks until he got the next coaching cue. To underline Quinn's point about focusing on limited number of things at a time. And I've understood that it's a weird sport in terms of you fix something and another thing and after a while the first thing you corrected comes eventually back. Constant fixing of a leaking house or so.
Try stretching lats and for example have the barbell in a rack and push into it in your best front rack attempt. Or have the bar in your fingertips (just be careful about both your fingertips and your wrists).

Trainer make approved sigh @16:00
Also, practice with a heavier bar.
"Angle" would be a better word to use instead of "relationship."
