Also my question for Kyle is "Where would you guide me in engl considering that my tone today is marshall?" My first touch on tube amps was Engl Screamer 50w head
Thank you Kyle! I used to put a kraken preamp in mine, but now I tend to like the Engl as much. I put the gain slightly under 9 o'clock and midrange button in as well as midrange almost dimed. And also h.o.f reverb, tc electronic spark booster. Got super close Pretty Maids "Red hot and Heavy" tone as I'm 50+. I'm also putting treble on 3 o'clock as I always done.

I got my hands on a Engl E636 Extreme Aggression Head a couple years ago. It looks like a Fireball 100, has the same features just that every feature and knob it has are on steroids 🤣 If I would not have been that lucky that 4 years of intense ebay search did pay off in the end I think I would have gone for a Fireball 100 as well. I know people comment on this, but damn, the master volume tends to be insanely high in most videos. Do you have some attenuator involved, or are you already working on getting some quality hearing aids?
I think that this ENGL seems to have a bigger snarl & possibility a better bite than what you’ve demo’ed over the ENGL month. I’m still feeling that second amp you threw down but I think I may have to watch the videos back to back to decide who’s the better of the two. You'd be amazed at what salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano can hit on the tastebuds! Okay, guitar question: I've decided that I need the Synergy SYN-2/5050 combination for my studio more than I would need the straight tone of the PRS MT-15. Is the Fireball 100 that much more 🔥 than the Powerball or Savage preamps? Thank you for all you do, bro! LOVE all your appearances in videos from 42 Gear Street V!
Kyle I was wondering if you could do a comparison video of this, the Inferno and the Artist. The Inferno looks really appealing for someone who needs a bit of everything from clean to classic to high gain/solos but still being simple compared to say the Special Edition
Sounds great, but with Engl Invader power chords sound smoother and even more organic - that model has insanely well designed high gain path of its preamp.
I dial my PRS MT15 at 6-6-6 (L-M-H)…… you should try that setting. I run a Maxon OD808 and ISP Decimator in line and a Sonic Stomp and Noise Gate in the Loop……love my sound! I have two 1x12 PRS MT112 cabs loaded with Eminence DV-77 and I use ESP ltd EC1000 guitars with Dimebucker, Dave Mustaine Thrash and Nazgûl/Sentient (three different EC 1000).
Awesome! I was kinda surprised when you said that the amp was different thatn the Powerball. Then I checked this video and there seem to be a difference indeed. I guess that the Fireball would suit your style more than the Powerball does, the latter is better suited for lower tunings (like I use and I tried the Powerball so I know). Ever checked out the Invader? You might love it as well. Perhaps it's easier to come across these amps here in Europe because they are way cheaper than in the other side of the Atlantic.
Im dying to know how this one is compared to the new founders edition, would the latter be the better and more versatile of the two, or does it sound different?
I really enjoy when you leave the mistakes in like "enger firebar" I laugh every time, makes the vids that much more enjoyable because we all as humans do that type of stuff 🤘😅
Love my FB100. Definitely what Kyle says - gotta dial with the ears and not the eyes. You can also drop the treble and raise the presence for a totally different flavor from this amp. Gets huge and smooth.
This is "The One"... until the next, new innovation...comes along. Chasing tone is a never-ending endeavor...It is an addiction that can't be kicked, ever... lol
kyle!!! well this was weird...been checking out the fireball recently (mite b next on the list for me)...love the tone and simplicity...cheers brother!!!
Kyle: the greatest amp ever is the Larry Dino. It’s a custom handmade amp. Jon Schaffer of ICED EARTH uses it as his main rhythm amp since 1995. It seriously is THAT damn good, but crazy expensive. He also makes a cheaper signature preamp.
I am here to 2nd you. Schaffer is my favorite guitar player...which is wild to say about a rhythm player. He is why I have an R8...now if only I could find, let alone afford a Dino. I bought the Kemper packs, but they were meh. Can't find any other captures of a Larry.
@SluggerStark ok, then they aren't for you. They are however worth it to the people causing the ridiculous backlog and the fact that they don't last on Reverb more than an hour even at $9k.
@@jhso1108 No they aren't for me. They aren't for 99.9% of guitar players. You said yourself you don't even own one. I mean hey, if you have that kind of expendable income, fill your boots. I have found with any of these super high end amps, there is significant diminishing returns. You are paying thousands more for that extra 5% (in feel, harmonics, tonal signature, etc).
@SluggerStark k. I still want one and hope to own one someday. As do many others. What are you even doing here? Throwing off on a boutique builder for no reason? If you like Friedman, you should thank Larry since he stole his designs.
Hey Kyle I have the fireball 25 it's an awesome amp and I know you download that also. Do you really think the fireball 100 is that much of a difference thanks
I have owned both, made videos of both on my channel. I believe the difference to be very minimal. IMHO the 25 has a more usable gain as in I could turn it up to 1 o clock where the FB100 was at 10 o clock/ 1 o clock on the FB100 was a mess and I believe the EQ was updated in the 25 over the 100 to my ears. Just my 2 cents, ha ha
It's funny how even after all the clickbait, drama and over kinds of playing to the algorithm by every other youtuber; your consistency, watchability and character are the main part of your success. Don't need for any of that bullshit when you can just release great content day after day, we enjoy watching you do what you so clearly love, great job.
Kyle gives the killer...no cleans or filler!!!! Kyle, the Victory Jack V30 MK2 is a hidden gem killer metal amp. I know your not a big Victory guy but this amp owns!!!
Didn’t hear you mention the Engl Metalmaster. If you haven’t tried it, you should give one a try. Love my 20 watt combo running into a 2x12 or 4x12 cab. Stock speaker doesn’t do it justice in my opinion.
Engl metalmaster is the tightest amp I have ever played, best for fast Thrash metal. voicing is similar to the Powerball 2 and ironball. with only 20W it sounds smaller than a Pb2, but when you put a Sonic stomp in the loop it sound s like a 100 W amp.
Kyle Bull is my go to for amp vids. No sims, pure raw tone, metal and he is entertaining. The best🤘 tx!

The low end on that ENGL sounds massive!
I know you have to use the classic angled cab for comparison, but this might be worth doing another vid with the oversize straight cab..
Those pedals really color the tone. Still sounds phenomenal
I really enjoy when you leave the mistakes in like "enger firebar" I laugh every time, makes the vids that much more enjoyable because we all as humans do that type of stuff 🤘😅
By far my favorite Engl
Great comparison. Could you take a look at the powerball mk1?
Love my FB100. Definitely what Kyle says - gotta dial with the ears and not the eyes. You can also drop the treble and raise the presence for a totally different flavor from this amp. Gets huge and smooth.
This is "The One"... until the next, new innovation...comes along. Chasing tone is a never-ending endeavor...It is an addiction that can't be kicked, ever... lol
My God Kyle. This amp is the ONE! Sounds incredible man.
Thanks, agreed!
That thing does sound insane. Aggressive punch with real snarl. I am going to look into picking one up. Thanks, bro'!
Too loud for me. Can't play bedroom levels
@beefnacos6258 Yeah good call. You need the ability to at least play this head on 3ish - 4ish
Please make Fireball vs Powerball II video
This thing is a monster!
Thats what she said
kyle!!! well this was weird...been checking out the fireball recently (mite b next on the list for me)...love the tone and simplicity...cheers brother!!!
Currently Backordered...
Also, my favorite ENGL. Great Vid!
I often have treble on 13-17 o'clock, nothing wrong with that. Depends on your guitar and mics, listen with your ears, don't look at the settings.
Great work, KB... 🤘
Kyle dude always solid entertaining videos and I'm an Engl fan boy too!
No way I am paying 10k and waiting 2+ years on any amp. For that kind of amp, get a Wizard.
That title fight riff was clean 🔥
The fireball and iron ball are definitely on my bucket list.
You should do a video of your top 10 all-time favorite amps and play them through the same cab. Would be sick to see
My favorite guitar gear youtuber, you're the best dawg.
Appreciate u
Kyle how would you compare this the Fireball 100 with the newer Badcat Lynx? Which one is more brutal without any boosts?
Fireball?!? That sure is a funny way to spell "Savage."
no.
YES! Sorry, bud. There's no beating the Savage. No need to be in denial.@@belligerentamateur
@@GamerSirus still no.
@@mbgmail5911 not sure why you're so bitter towards me these days, but it's all good. Hope you have a good day.
Thanks for your videos as always, do you prefer the Fireball over the Savage?
What about the fireball 60 ? Is it good too ?
Different voicing
It even has that red glow thing going. Phat
In my quest for saving for a Splawn Quick Rod 100 awesome amps like this finally get on my radar. Damn it. 🤣
Hey Kyle I have the fireball 25 it's an awesome amp and I know you download that also. Do you really think the fireball 100 is that much of a difference thanks
The Fireball 25 lacks the lows and low mids the 100 watt version has. The 25 isn’t bad but it definitely isn’t as thumpy and punchy as the 100.
Yo nasty buck all you have to do is put an MXR 10 band in the loop and it will change that amp like you wouldn't believe
Love this review most honest video on the internet .... gonna buy one now ... do you offer discounts on divorce lawyers ???
Hello would this head be good for playing deftones chevelle ect?
Hey there, Kyle, What's that clip above the nut on your guitar and where can I buy one?
It's funny how even after all the clickbait, drama and over kinds of playing to the algorithm by every other youtuber; your consistency, watchability and character are the main part of your success. Don't need for any of that bullshit when you can just release great content day after day, we enjoy watching you do what you so clearly love, great job.
He's got just as much clickbait thumbnails as everyone else
This amp for punk is amazing
Awesome early Title Fight licks! Man I love your videos!
Playing title fight and hatebreed riffs. Awesome.
