Your name wouldn't happen to be Derek (spelling?)(and I might even have the name wrong) and you live (or lived around 2005) in Fort Lauderdale, would it?

Definitely needed for players/bands clocking in over the 260 bpm mark- if you want to hear your notes and not turn into a distorted mess.
I agree about the clarity and note separation. I think the biggest thing I like is that the distortion character is more smooth while still having a pretty mean growl. I've learned that I don't enjoy amplifiers that have more of a hard clipping or fuzz type gain to them.

Sounds worse than the 5150, IMO. I felt the same way about the Engl SE I owned once upon a time. It's just something about them. They sound too dark and dry, IMO. The various 5150 variants all have much more bite and presence.
Change the transformators ajust to your voltage from the ENGL Savage then you will get monstrous high gain sounds out of it that easily can cut through a 5150 even in a live situation.
It warms my heart to see you embrace the ENGL brand. Why spend the same money on a lesser amp and a pile of gear to make it sound passable ? Right tool for the right job!

@@TaylorDanley I know an English guy with those voltages 🤣😘
@@NinecoreNeil I sent that thing back, but I negotiated them down to to $2k if you can find it on EBay. Had the footswitch too!
@@TaylorDanley down to 2k jeez they are £1899 over here I guess that’s the equivalent of Mesa over here…… I forgot Marshall and Engl cost a new kidney over there
@@NinecoreNeil yeah $3k new 👀. That’s right I saw a UK one on Thomman and was like “wait, wtf 😂”
Why is it so expensive?! I want one!!!!
Import fees I imagine lol. Everyone in Europe gloats about how they are cheap amps lol
@@TaylorDanley 😭
Can confirm - this thing kicks balls, ass, nuts, deez nutz, dos nutz, da nutz... all the nuts. It's an awesome amp. Love it. Well done, chief!
Honest question for you here. I have seen a couple of amps that I wanted to buy from Thomann and they are all European voltage. On Amazon I have seen a voltage converter for anywhere from $50 - $100 that will step up 120 to 240.
What's the question?
@@TaylorDanley oh shit, sorry. I was in CVS at the time I wrote that.
How come you just didn't get an external step up transformer?
For $3000.00 it’d have to replace everything I have. Damn!
Omg first for the first time in my life
Sick.
Better or worse than a 5150, to you? cheers
This must be said: No comparison to Marshall JMP sound that crunch channel. Pretty good but not really even near
sick amp, but i'll stay with my Powerball mk2. the savage is twice the price, i can't afford that. xD
Damn I really enjoy the sound of that, think I might have to chase one down
You won't be disappointed
2:54 ..OR SO THE GERMANS WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE..
Germans make the best electronics! They make the best car and the best amplifier for metalheads baby
can't believe it took you this long....
Sorry dude, I'm dumb lol
8:32
great , but I get most of this tone with my Blackstar HT Metal pedal.....you should seriously check it out. Plug it into any amp's clean channel (not the fx loop) and stand back
cool
I wish i could afford one.
Oh that grin...Tells me I don't even watch the review to know the amp is great
Mmmm ENGL, cost-prohibitive excellence since 1983. I did the old "test every amp in the store" about a 15yrs ago, and narrowed down to a Powerball and a 5150 III, I've wanted an ENGL amp since then. The closest I will get is the Valeton GP-100 models :)
Marshall sells their 20w studio amps for $1750 and ENGL sells the 100w Fireball for $1900. 😂
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 from Hulk Blood Nightmare Flash ☄️🥺🤧😷🤕😭🤔🌈
I feel like id get so lost on this amp😂
Easy to do
@TaylorDanley im just. Not the brightest when it comes to amps. Lol. One a those randall rg1003 heads. That's all I've been able to afford. And it's gotten me through. This looks fun, and cooler than all get out. And I have been wanting to try engls since nile use them, just don't have the money or rhyme or reason to get one I suppose
These are $4.5k in Australian monopoly dollars. Time to start an OnlyFans.
If it replaces the rest i would gladly take the vavlestate 8100 off your hands👍
Sounds worse than the 5150, IMO. I felt the same way about the Engl SE I owned once upon a time. It's just something about them. They sound too dark and dry, IMO. The various 5150 variants all have much more bite and presence.
Change the transformators ajust to your voltage from the ENGL Savage then you will get monstrous high gain sounds out of it that easily can cut through a 5150 even in a live situation.
It warms my heart to see you embrace the ENGL brand. Why spend the same money on a lesser amp and a pile of gear to make it sound passable ? Right tool for the right job!
Agreed. I've always wanted one, but it just wasn't on my GAS radar until recently lol
That amp looks and sounds soooooo sexy!
Bro, I'll trade you my wife and my little sister for that amp!
That's a wrong pronunciation in german, instead of "eengl" it's more like "aengl" or "angle" in english. Just a little tip.
Ok this is truly the badest ass amp ive ever seen
It's not Ingl it's a damn Engl
this amp does not need and overdrive pedals in front of it this is the act of bored musicians who think they need extra toys to throw at amps Engl has more than enough gain and tightness.
I'm not a fan of the Mikko cab
Sound complicated 🤔
