For me there are 3 winner here The Mesa, The Engl and you my man. What a great demonstration of what 2 awesome amp can do.

I have a fireball 25 currently I love it, had a DualRect in the 90’s loved it also. But the Engl seems to take less “know how” to make it sound good.
It can sound way better than the mesa though, when “know how” is applied, IMO.

I have a Fireball and to me, I bet they'd be a bit closer if you hit that mid boost on the Fball..probably more equivalent to the boost in font of the Rec. They both sound great, and your demo did them both justice.

They both sounded great. The Dual Rectifier did sound marginally boosted, not just a bit tighter, but also boosted, which was inevitable.
I liked the recto a tad better, but the point is that it took a boost to get it there. And I always prefer an amp that doesn't need a boost.

You're a great guitarist man! But for me the Fireball sits way better in the mix, low end and mid range are perfect without muddying the mix.
Fireball sounds better in the mix, stand alone they both sound pretty equal.

I have a 3ch dual rec and my other guitarist has an egl powerball 2. Together it sounds amazing
Honestly the fireball sounds a bit more musical, that might be placebo, but to me it just sounds like a guitar amp should.
Very similar sound from both amps. Based on this video, the dual Rectifier has a tad more clarity & definition, but it could be because of the boost pedal. If the Fireball was boosted, it might be too overwhelming, but would be interesting to see if u can get a similar definition & clarity.
A little bit of Pantera vibe towards the end wasnt it. 1st part Mesa sounded better, Fireball towards the end. Both sounded great and the comparison was well excecuted, thanks!
what's the difference in voicing between the fireball, the powerball and savage? Is the fireball suppose to be the German 5150?
The 100W Kind of yes but with a little smother Mids and lieke a Block Letter boosted with a TS.
And it has a great pristine Clean Channel.
Great amp in any ways... but also a bit boring because it sounds so good in any setting.
The 60W was a totally different amp and it always sounded like ass... (silver Faceplate, avoid)
The ENGL 100%
Both are monsters and staples in metal chugging. Mesa is thicker but the tightness of the ENGL is from another galaxy. The Rec is nowhere near even boosted.
Both sounds great! But Mesa has more low end and sounds massive in comparison to Engl which sounds little bit thin. It would be fair to use tube screamer with Engl also. I like to dial back gain on my fireball 60 and use it with zakk wylde overdrive.
Both sound great but the Fireball wins again.

There's no comparison here. They sound equally great. BUT... the fireball is 1900 and the Mesa is 3000. 1900 wins every single time!!! Good shoot out though. Tasty riffs and nothing but thrash.❤❤❤❤
