One of the things I’ve read about is being touched getting hugs being close to someone. I belong to an organization where I get every morning probably 25 hugs and I believe strongly that’s part of the reason that I am 81 I bike ride 25 miles three times a week outdoors I kayak I walk I do the gym and the treadmill. I know there are many other factors but for me that is huge. I live in a building of 62 and older and there are people that never get touched and I watch them just kind of fade away staying younger and stronger as my age for me is a full-time job and a total 100% commitment.
I hear a lot about the importance of social health these days. But personally I believe it can become too much sometimes. In my opinion some alone time to recharge is just as important.
