Hey, guys. I found that once get into this position and get your tailbone tucking, if you bend your knees a little more, you get a really good stretch. I do recommend keeping the front heel firmly down. I hope Will agrees.
I think a different video mentioned walking with toes slightly pointed out also to help hip bursitis too. Keep those calfs and gluts strong! Thank you for your videos.
Thank you for this! Your kneeling stretch for the psoas has definitely helped me, but with my lumpy knee caps, I have to set up cushions to do the exercise without extreme pain. This new method looks much more convenient, and I will use it.

Thanks for this useful exercise. The soft tissue in the front of my knees are painful even in the knee replacement I had three years ago and many exercises are impossible such as squats etc (which cause tendonitis in my replaced knee) but I can manage this one even though I'm in my late 70s. Trying to tuck my bottom in is more difficult as my lower back is painful due to the bones narrowing and the base of my spine curving but I can manage it a little way if I don't do it too often. My favourite exercise is going for walks with my walker or two sticks so I am grateful for any advice of how to walk better. I really miss being able to dance and walk easily as I used to before osteoarthritis kicked in but I want to keep up my walking as long as I can and your videos are a real help.
This addresses my prime problem at 68 - slowed walking. I walk 3-4 miles a day, but my friends are complaining I'm too slow for them. I'll try this exercise for sure! Thanks.

Having done my share of square bashing, for many years I've walked with a stride without any obvious issues. I recently went on a course with a leading navigation expert who recommend using much shorter steps as it prevents overreaching the walking muscles and you're keeping your stride within the area of the body mass, thus less strain on the joints & tendons. It appears to make sense and I've now got into the habit of taking shorter steps whenever I walk. Your thoughts - ?
Thanks Will yet again. I'm so excited to do this tomorrow. I'm really struggling at the moment with my right knee again. Trying to work out an exercise regime for my knee and walking. This is first to try tomorrow then going to look through your other videos regarding knees to add to this one. 👍
I hope this proves beneficial for you. I have lots more videos on my channel regarding healthy knees and knee pain which hopefully prove helpful for you :)
Hi Will, I recently discovered your channel and it's great! I've ordered your book, have you ever thought of doing a wall chart of your exercises? It could accompany your book. Thanks for all your knowledge and care for us over 50's 😊
Another great video--thank you, Will! I'm curious whether your patients who have had total hip replacement have more difficulty doing this stretch and improving their walking? Or do the glutes recover quite nicely after the surgery?
This does seem to help with tight hip flexors on one side which have not been responding to any other exercise or stretch I have tried. However, I have several questions about your instructions: 1). How far from the wall should my feet be? 2). How far apart should they be? 3). How far back should I place the rear foot? 4). How should my weight be distributed between the two feet? Also, I sometimes feel some knee strain in the front leg. Shifting my weight a little more to the rear foot seems to relieve it. Is this the right thing to do? Also, any tips for best way to come out of this?
I saw your video about kneesovertoes (Ben Patrick) regarding squatting. But one of the things Ben recommends is walking backward. Then moving on to walking backward pulling a weighted sled. What is your opinion of that exercise for strengthening the knee?
Thanks, I got cramp immediately in my hamstrings so that's a situation I need to deal with, I didn't realise so tight, every day is a school day. New subscriber & really enjoy your efforts, ta

Love this stretch! Adding it to my pre walking routine. Thank you 😊
Thank you Will and best greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭🙋🏼♀️.
Sending best wishes to you in Switzerland!
Thank you ever so much. Very instructive and useful. Will follow your footsteps... Bless you.
Thanks, Will. I’ll try this bc long term immobility has made me tight as a drum!
I hope this proves beneficial for you!
Really helpful. Now I'm 80 years olds

This addresses my prime problem at 68 - slowed walking. I walk 3-4 miles a day, but my friends are complaining I'm too slow for them. I'll try this exercise for sure! Thanks.
Use this and some of his other videos that address the same thing.

@@HT-Physio Thanks Will
So glad I found you channel, thank you so much for your valuable tips!
My pleasure to share!
Thank you . Perfect timing!
So pleased my video came at the right time for you!
Will Harrow, you explain in very simple easy way daily tips. I like your video and watch it.
Thank you so much, I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed my video!
Thankyou sir for your golden words and exercises. Please make video for heelpainsir 💙
This does seem to help with tight hip flexors on one side which have not been responding to any other exercise or stretch I have tried. However, I have several questions about your instructions:
Kindly bring video of exercises for polio affected leg with weak muscles and which is aprox 2 inches shorter than the non affected leg
Love your videos and wish there was a Will Harlow in my USA hometown for physiotherapy. Luckily, we have your videos and books.
I wish I could be everywhere! I'm grateful to have UA-cam to be able to reach those I cannot see in person 😄
That's brilliant! Worked immediately!!!
That is wonderful to hear!
Walking has become more difficult but I have no pain… it is a balance and strength issue…, I am really trying hard to not loose my Mobility
I saw your video about kneesovertoes (Ben Patrick) regarding squatting. But one of the things Ben recommends is walking backward. Then moving on to walking backward pulling a weighted sled. What is your opinion of that exercise for strengthening the knee?
Backward walking with resistance is one of my knee strengthening exercises; works wonders.👍
This I very beneficial thank you you are amazing!
Can’t wait to try this! Thanks
I do this stretch and love it. Thanks for the reminder!
Great to hear you've been putting this to good use!
Thanks, I got cramp immediately in my hamstrings so that's a situation I need to deal with, I didn't realise so tight, every day is a school day.
New subscriber & really enjoy your efforts, ta
