When I saw the title of this video and the thumbnail I was thinking "Avenger Titan" from SC. I always like the Avenger, it reminds me of a concept artwork that you would see from NASA, which in the context of Star Citizen gives it a sorta retro feel.
I can't beleive I've never seen your videos! This is great! SC ships are hard to approximate with SE geometry. I did a P-52 and P-72 a while back. Cleanest one's you'll find 👍
Saw this game awhile ago, but I don't have a PC that can handle this game. So it's fun to watch someone who knows what they are doing so i can learn some things before i get a better computer in order to handle games such as this. Thank you for the in depth description you do.
For the wings you can follow the slope in the front. You can then change the angle to make it go upwards. Then taper them into a tip. I hope this helps
Surely after watching the wing design, (star wars fan alert) It's possible to make functional x-foils by using program blocks and merge blocks to lock x-foils, then the same to release, along with program blocks and the hinges to set parameters for opening them to attack position... 🤔
The hinged rotors (or any rotor really) have a head you can attach, easiest way to connect two is place the rotors, then remove the head of 1. Buiuld the blocks and then add the missing head, ensuring its the right way up (the line). then just use the console to re-attach head.
@@DragonNationGaming Once I figured out correct way round, never had an issue :P. Your more likely to get clang with merge blocks or two sub grids pressing against each other than correctly setup rotors. I built an excuvator this way with pistons to move the arms (not released as still need need to tweak some things), works perfectly, only time it didnt was when I set displacement too small and the sub grids were fighting each other. Oh and collision on small grids is often larger than you can see.
1X2 Ramp blocks are 25°. Also, it would be smart to use two rotors to lower the ramp and to be set up on two timers, press button (Timer 1 - Unlock Rotors, Reverse Rotors, Start Timer 2) (Timer 2 - @15 seconds - Lock Rotors) This set up is what I use for all my boarding ramps. From my Nomad, Hyena, and my Aeolus Class PCH-74 Pegasus. Just know that the collision for small grid is retarded and way bigger then it's supposed to be, unlock large grid.
Hey, I know I'm late to the party, and going through the episodes now, so don't know what you've come up with yet. Turning the landing gear sideways to fit it into the gear bay is actually common practice in regular aviation design, so certainly don't feel defeated if that's what you ended up doing. That's why landing gear is tilted when you see the aircraft coming in to land. There's even a couple of aircraft that do exactly what you're proposing and turn their gear 90 degrees to fit them into the bays. Well.... onto the next one to see what you came up with ;-)
I been playing SE and my ships are stuck to any platform or planet surface. I can't figure out why. I checked all the usual things. Short of grinding off the turned off gear I can't fly. It has me nto playing anymore.
If it's what I think it is, it's an old bug that has never been fixed. I'm not sure what causes it but I think it has something to do converting to a station. The only solution I have found is to put the world into creative and then copy and paste the ships that won't move. ctrl+C while pointing at the ship and then ctrl+V. If you are playing in multiplayer, you're pretty much screwed.
Hi, I got the same thing for a while, I used the drill around all part in contact with the ground, then I could change this "station" to something flying :)

Did not expect you to build the Avenger! What a great ship.

That is a really complex design. Can't wait to see how it comes out
did you try blast door blocks for the opening? Turning the wheels is also an optioon, I didn't think of that, but it's pretty typical.
Those conveyor hinges allow all kinds of doors, if the wall blocks are thin enough...
links are dead cant find that mining ship on workshop
Have you tried a hindge for moving landing gear out of way

Try that out a few times and then tell me why it's a bad idea.

Any chance you could make a "No Mod/Script" BP of that printer?

you mean 22.5°
Pistons work on a hinge...
There is a 2x2 wheels mod in the workshop

oh no
you meke me download star cirizen... That game is epic
First like and first view on video. Love the content Dragon Nation Gaming :P

@@DragonNationGaming Thanks for that advice. I'll try it.

You seriously need to use the Azimuth thrusters...
You seriously need to stop telling me what to do.
Armor door blocks for the gear?
Do you mean to replace the wheels? That wouldn't look very good.
Sorry, replace the side of the landing gear well. The hit box on the armor door pieces are small and may work, it's a idea.
@@inmoraa7613 I could, but then I would have to change the shape of the ship to fit them. I'll find a solution eventually.
