That DEF screen was probably mandated by an arm chair bureaucrat at EPA who never ever had to fill a tractor with anything. Looks like the pointed end of it would serve the bureaucrat well for possible hemorrhoid removal. Thanks for sharing
Daniel I appreciate your videos as they are very informative. I'm a 40 year employee of John Deere who has built alot of cotton picker parts in Iowa. Finally get to see one work.
Good afternoon Ms Granny hope you're enjoying this beautiful ALABAMA day. Friday's rain stopped qtr mile from my last hay fields of 2024😊😊😊Done Deep prayers for people in NC and FL
Daniel the rain on the video looks amazing. We are over 40 days without rain in central Texas. Great cotton harvest just hope it continues. Stay safe and give granny a hug for me.💙
Making def and all the plastics that go with it and extra fuel to distribute it and all the components on engines , and all the service calls to repair the def systems make a bigger carbon foot print than if you never used it.. It's just another government hand in the publics pocket taking out more of our hard earned money.
@@tomgreen1721I sure understand that first hand. We farmed 2600 acres for years then Dad got sick and I went to public work in the paper industry working swing shift, still farming over 1000 acres. Was not smart ! What I like about Daniel’s videos is they are down to earth and family farming in the South. Everyone B Blessed.
Could y’all treat the places where you park your water and nurse tanks and places like your pump sheds and around the shop with fipronil for fire ants. I use it in my yard about every 2-3 years and have zero fire ants. Couple of ounces in a 25 gallon sprayer.
Why do you use a cotton picker rather than a cotton stripper? I’ve watched cotton stripper videos in the last couple of weeks and it seems the stripper gets all the cotton off the plant. But I’m sure you have a good reason for using a cotton picker, so would you please explain it in your next video. Thank you.
The Phytogen 475 looks great. Cotton harvest is my favorite time of the year.
I always liked seeing cotton being harvested in the fall each year and especially seeing the JD 7760/CP690 and 770 baler pickers now.

At one time here lately California was trying to get rid of it and they’re the one’s who are probably the reason we’re having to use it. Imagine that!
No Def. On my farm
Tractors or trucks
Never will be
Well maybe for a few days after new purchase 😮

Love the videos. Do the machines always leave that much cotton on the plant?

Hi Daniel, what type of cotton do you grow (medium or short fiber)?
Martin Mark Perez Joseph Miller Sarah
What factors contributed to the good start to the cotton harvest and do you foresee any challenges as the season progresses?
I'm sure you've tried it but would a steam cleaner clean the cotton from all those surfaces? Or at least some of them?

Do you guys run the sand and gravel pit ?
How many bales to an acre, on average.
Recent subscriber, who the heck is granny?
His Grandmother, we talk to her in the comments
Many of the people flock here to get their 'granny on', I think it is weird also. Drink !

Why aren’t you guys irritating more?.
$$$$$$$$$$$
What else you think?😂 pivots and the electricity/diesel to run them pivots (not counting the actual cost plus installation) is not cheap!
Fire ants irritate, straw irritates and sometimes hot sauce irritates, not sure what type of irritation you are referring too ?
