    I have figured it out scientifically, and the perfect amount of water is 150 ml for every 3000 quinoa seeds.

    Great tips! I made the mistake of using two cups water to one cup quinoa - and i didn't toast it after rinse..so i ended up with mush quinoa. I stir-fried it (Chinese-style) anyways cos i didn't wanna waste it and it taste pretty good. If mushy quinoa cooked Chinese-style stir-fried tastes pretty good, i'm sure the proper fluffy cooked ones will taste even better. Can't wait to try it out again.

    Hi Sir. Love your segment (and segments of other 2 ladies as well, just really like this program and have enjoyed Martha Stewart's programs/books for many years). I've a question. Can you please tell me why when I add fresh squeezed lemon juice to a cake batter to make lemon cake, the lemon juice causes the cake to not rise. I can add lemon zest and lemon oil and the cake rises but as soon as I add fresh squeezed lemon juice I have a problem. Thank you for any tips.

    As apposed to putting quinoa in oatmeal? I always thought of putting like a 1/12 of my oatmeal as quinoa, and to let things like agave, banana, and berries absorb. What do you think of that?

  • @francismcdonnell753

    Are you saying that you cook it for 15 minutes then turn off the heat & leave it for another 10 minutes & don’t remove the lid in that whole 25 minutes? I’m a bit confused as you say check all the water has evaporated. Is that after 15 minutes or the 25 minutes?

    Off topic, but I used to buy a big 1 lb. box of quinoa at Trader Joes for $1.99 back when nobody knew what was. Then all the hype happened and they now raised the price to $3.99 for that same item. BAH!

    There are NINE essential amino acids, and quinoa isn't low in carbohydrates. Most importantly, you should not be scared of carbohydrates.

    Why my cream puff shells always sink down after taking out of oven?

    • @tray22nc
      @tray22nc 9 років тому +3

      You should poke a small hole, so that the steam can release from the pastry, once it's out of the oven. Once it has cooled, you'll be left with a firm, delicious pastry, ready to be filled! :)

    • @ddpper
      @ddpper 9 років тому

      Oh thank you! I'll try that next time. :)

    • @jadescarlettemadison2322
      @jadescarlettemadison2322 9 років тому

      if what the other guy recommended doesn't work, leave the oven door a bit open, turn it off, but keep the cream puffs in there. this dries them out and stops them from sinking. also try to not take them out too early because that can make it sink too, but be careful not to overcook

    I wouldn't call quinoa delicious, like comon bruh, that's not why we eat it. It's for health purposes. I mean hell, beet juice is far more delicious than quinoa.
