Same. But I worry about having too much to be honest, right now I don't even think I get to the 100 mark of Volumes and what I buy is only what I really like, still time moves on and we get new releases or new stuff we like and i worry I might end up having too much
For whatever reason I don't aim to have a huge collection like him but still trough the years of getting stuff is kind of inevitable

Just bought the final volumes of Demon Slayer and TPN the other day. Completely agree with you about the ending of TPN; i'm just happy to have it all on my shelf now!

I actually started manga collecting last month August because I was looking up what is special about omnibus lol. I was looking to buy Sandman Omnibus (finally) and you popped up. Then your manga vids popped up and I was thinking, "OMG!!! We have this now????" Yes I have been living under a rock.
Well, 1 month and half later I have collected a majority of titles that were nostalgic for me and have amassed 215 volumes. I couldn't believe titles such as Please Save My Earth, Basara, 20th Century Boys, Slam Dunk and Jojo's would get translated and now, some are either OOS/OOP. 15 years ago I was reading manga via scanlations because that was the only option aside from not reading them at all or just looking at the Japanese tankoubon. Anyway, I love seeing these hauls of yours as your collection is so varied and a lot of classics that I may have read in the past but don't know they have translated publications now.

Somewhat in the same boat here. I got into collecting manga in May with getting all of the available Berserk Deluxe Volumes and now I've started Rurouni Kenshin and even some comics thanks to this guy.

i did the same but started back in April ! I mainly wanted to get omnibus editions or those special master/collector editions etc, but got a bit too addicted and now I have like 100+ volumes of things that I haven't had a chance to read but it's exciting to look forward to reading them all.
@@MlkXiu Same, if something has an omnibus / collected-type editions I want that instead of the singles. Just worried about some of the vizbigs creasing or completely falling apart. Saw on some vids and amazon reviews that the binding is not that great.
blue period!!! yes!!! it's a super great series and i love how explores art from all different perspectives as you go along and learn with yatora, im not a painter by any means but i am a writing student and even though they're completely different mediums i can relate to it still as a creative so i hope you can too! it's currently my second favourite ongoing manga after jjk :)! (and the art is super pretty which is unsurprising!)
i'd love to hear your thoughts on it after you've read a bit! but anyway another great video :)
I have a degree in fine arts so I’m sure I’ll wind up having feelings about it one way or another. Will try to review before the anime airs

The GX manga is completely different from the anime since it was done during or after the anime. I read some of the chapters after watching the anime and the story was different. Great video
So happy to see you pick up Twin Star Exorcists!!! Easily one of my favorite Shonen series, it’s definitely SUPER underrated!
Demon slayer gets so much hate for the ending. I think it's amazing. Ofc if there were more volumes, the characters would be able to shine more. But overall it's great.
I don't know if you know this or not, but for the of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Spin-offs, the anime came out before the manga. So both the anime and the manga have a completely different plot, events and development and even cards for their characters. So what you remember from the GX anime won't be what you read in the manga.
Great haul man. I haven’t bought anything in awhile and you made me realise I had to catch up with a lot of my collection.
Tatsuki Fujimoto recently recommended Blue Period on his Twitter a few days ago. That’s high praise. I’ll check it out after the anime.

Heads up on the yu-gi-oh mangas, some of them (after the original series) are different stories entirely different from the anime counterparts that usually come out first. Im not sure about about the GX manga but the 5ds manga has most of the same characters with a totally different plot than the it’s original anime counter part! However i’ve heard great things about the 5ds manga and am about to read it myself when i get three remaining volumes to complete the 9 volumes! Anyways hope it’s a good read!!
Gin Tama yes!! I was confused when I first read it since it’s so long and I was looking online of how many volumes and 23 didn’t seem right for the number of chapters. I do hope they start reprinting them one day!! 🤞

There’s only two manga series I’ve been trying to collect ‘Zatch Bell’ and ‘City Hunter’ I just need vol. 23 and 24 for the complete english set.
Meanwhile City Hunter….. why is it hard to find?? Only mange to get Vol. 4

Lol I also was wondering how many manga books do you read a day/how do you find time to read everything you collect without getting distracted by other forms of media?
I got that same JoJo's volume too, I will get all of JoJo's Bizarre adventure someday, I just wish Viz media can pick up the pace a little bit.
Nice! I picked up a lot of the same new SJ releases. Glad you finally got Bakuman in your collection, I know I asked about that one months ago lol. I just bought a lot of Bleach volumes 1 through 67 on eBay for a very good price, so I'm excited to finally have that in my collection.

Nice manga haul I see you got Urusei Yatsura manga I'm glad that Viz signature released the Urusei Yatsura manga books even though I had to get Urusei Yatsura manga books translated in its original Japanese not translated in English from Japan which is Urusei Yatsura vol 7 manga book under shogakukan comics ever since I watched the entire series of Urusei Yatsura anime tv series on UA-cam over 195 episodes Urusei Yatsura anime tv series premiered on October 14th 1981 around the same hour as Dogtanian and the three Muskehounds and Ulysses 31 AnimeEigo released 50 DVD volumes of Urusei Yatsura which I remembered because Urusei Yatsura anime series is based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi who worked on Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha many of her famous works
I loved the Pokemon Adventures manga when I was younger and starting in August, through the beginning of September, I've caught up with all the available volumes so I could be there when vol. 10 comes out. I'm hoping they continue with them too cause I love the Gold/Silver games and what they've done in the manga with them and associated characters.
Also, I liked the YuGiOh GX anime, and I had the manga, but that was a series I sold, but now I kind of want to rebuy them after hearing you talk about them haha. Same with YuGiOh Millenium World, which was the only other YuGiOh manga series I had

For Naruto apart from the light novels there’s also the chibi rock lee adventures, it’s only in Japanese though
The Chibi Sasuke series is okay......but I didn't read past part-way through the second volume. Naruto is my favorite manga and anime of all time, but I found the gag series just too simple and juvenile. I feel like it could've just been a thick standalone volume. Also, you look just like Vinny (Original151). He does Let's Plays of Pokemon on UA-cam.

The 5Ds manga is SIGNIFICANTLY different than the anime. The anime’s story arc is amazing! Highly recommend, though I know you don’t prefer anime.

What's interesting about this to me is that you buy volumes of series you havent even read yet, hoping you'll enjoy them. I would and could never do that. If you end up disliking them, do you sell them off? I only buy volumes of series I've already read and love-and after the dumpster fire that was Domestic Girlfriend, only *after* they've finished with a good ending (if there's any real chance the ending may be bad). Fortunately(?), Domestic Girlfriend was digital only (and I only buy physical), so I didnt end up with a bunch of volumes that I wouldve wanted to burn.

Yugioh gx and 5ds anime are the best anime in my opinion, haven’t read the manga but I’m 100% they completely different to the anime so might have to check them out

As I mentioned many times during shows and left comments on videos, you are the reason for my small book library of about 6000 collected editions. I have watched (during the last 7 years) all your videos and some multiple times. Coming to my point: during one manga Thursday I asked about Children of (the) Whales. And you answered “I will never read that manga”. If I may ask why you feel that way. I am not offended or anything it’s just curiosity as we share like 95% the same taste in manga and comics. If it is not based on reading 2-3 volumes, I would still suggest to check it out. It might turn out not what you expect. It has the feel of “The Promised Neverland”. Just a friendly question. Hey, I really suggest this series called "Astra: lost in space" if you don't have it. It was made by the same creator of Gin Tama and it truly is a great, underrated series.
I have it, but they aren’t by the same creator. Astra is by Kenta Shinohara and Gin Tama is by Hideaki Sorachi.
Shinohara did work as an assistant to Sorachi, though.

how do you read 150 volumes in one month? That's like 2 hours a day minimum if you were reading really fast which I'm sure you're not.
i’ve finished volumes in 20 minutes and other volumes in 2 hours. it really depends on the series.

I can read ten volumes in a day if I’m not doing anything else so 100-150/month isn’t impossible. Especially with most manga as they’re not terrible text-heavy.
