- Here's my manga haul for the months of June and July! Lots of great new releases, but it was my birthday on July 4th so I also picked up quite a bit of older releases that I'm very excited to add to my collection!

Psyren is one of my all time favorite manga. Everyone I talk to about it has never heard of it before. Glad to know more people know about the series
Hey Ryley, speaking of Eyeshield 21, I managed to finally get all the volumes and I think a perfect time to start it would be when the NFL seasons starts. Great video once again.

This could sound like a personal question so feel free to ignore it but every time you have a new video, I always wonder what your job could possibly be. You always get crazy hauls and even have a crazier collection!

It also slightly depends on where he's getting his hauls from. Actual comic shops or bookstores usually charge inflated prices.

I started reading it because I went into a new bookstore and the first volume was the only manga they had so it just made me SUPER curious so I had to buy it

the anthropomorphic animal series from Horikoshi is called oumagadoki zoo. I'd recommend reading it.

Platinum end gets so much hate and I’m not sure why… feel like those who hate it are either really big death note fanboys or just absolutely hate the series. Gonna continue to collect and see what’s up with it.

Great haul as always! I remember you said in a TikTok you could read Spanish, so now that you want to dive into more works from the Gekiga I definitely recommend 'Los locos del Gekiga', by Masahiko Matsumoto, one of the founders of the Gekiga movement. It's basically a narration of how he met the other co-founders, Yoshihiro Tatsumi and Takao Saito, and their struggles to becoming mangakas in Osaka in the late 1950's. It's been released fairly recently, but I think it's a must read.
I read that first volume of Fist of the North Star cover to cover at Barnes & Noble. I loved it so much that I bought it and pre-ordered the 2nd. I figure if I'm able to buy them as they come out, it'll be better than dropping a bunch of money at once on them at the same time. One manga of note that really interested me here was Cobra. I love classic pulpy sci-fi, and that one looks like a fantastic precursor to something like Cowboy Bebop.
My birthday month is July so you know that Righstuf sale was made for me.
I remember really liking NOW, I'm sad it was never picked up by another publisher. There is a series before NOW called Chun Rhang Yhur Jhun. Unfortunately it was being published in English at the same time as NOW by Infinity Studios, so when NOW stopped being translated, so did Chun Rhang Yhur Jhun. There were 5 books published of it. I haven't read the prequel yet, and considering that it also just stops because the Infinity Studios had a falling out it might not add to much to the story of NOW, but incase you're interested, just know it exists. I got my copies for super cheap, probably because it's an unfinished translation.
Well my TBR just grew. thanks for the video, and you did a great job.

Haha, my entire collection is 127 volumes now and you get 140 in 2 months. I hope one day I'll be able to support this hobby of mine like that as well. Small steps so far, but I'm happy with what I have. Your collection updates are always fun to watch.

Horikoshi’s other manga is called Oumagadoki Zoo, I totally agree Viz should give it an English release, I’m planning to check it out for Manga Crash’s Shonen Jump Manga Reading Challenge

Not sure if you've run into this but Amazon doesn't take care of the packages in transit. Have sent back a few volumes that were beaten up by the time I got them. Rightstuf on the other hand takes wonderful care of them.

"I saw it" is sold pretty cheaply in Hiroshima peace museum, new prints always arrive there so I hope you didn't pay a lot for that...
Trying to find single volumes can be a pain, I've pretty much given up hope for finding volume 7 of A Certain Scientific Railgun for any reasonable price.
If you ever want to take a month off, I could pick up the slack and accept a shipment or two. 😅

I am also really happy about the Fist Of The North Star volumes. I was blown away when I read it, it's really weird, I am a manga fan for such a long time but really neglected the Classics.

The author of Gengaku Picasso, Usamaru Furuya, has some really interesting manga. A lot of them are extremely dark and disturbing but interesting nonetheless. He's also done one of my favourite manga ever: No Longer Human (adapted from a novel with the same name.)
