I met her when she was listening to "Fat City" the first time after it was mixed in Philadelphia. She couldn't stand listening to it for the first time, so she said, "Excuse me, this is driving me crazy" and she grabbed her guitar and played the last two songs live instead of listening to the last two songs with us. She is such a "regular person." She is just a kind soul. One of my favorite artists!
She’s been through enough tragedy and heartache .she deserves all the success she can handle.

I think that this song from Shawn Colvin seems to be used as a musical metaphor for the number of times that I've fallen when I was employed on one side (e.g. February 2023 at my office which is located somewhere in California where I tripped and fell on the small coffee table) and at home on the other (e.g. July 2021 if my memory serves me correctly which involved slipping on top of the stairs that lead to the garage by not looking where I was going, because the plastic bag that contained my dry cleaning from the cleaners got in my way that day). 👍🏼if you strongly and painfully agree at the same time.
I love it because she is so good as a writer and the producer made it interesting.

When I saw her last night in San Francisco, she said her daughter is 14 now. So is the first clapping girl in this video Shawn's daughter? Seems likely! Shawn is a phenomenal guitaring, songwriter, singer and performer. So beautiful to hear her live.

Shawn's music has been with me for all of my adult life - and it has been such a great companion and friendly warm voice to be ensconced in. This is a great comeback record.

heard this song on WEHM in NY last week. really strong, however there is a different mix when you stream online (RDIO, Spotify) with WAY better guitars than this single version. don't know why multiple versions would be released, or who thought this was better, but it's not and hurts the song.

Good song and performance if you don't watch the nutty video.
This video reminds me of the attention blindness psychology experiments, they talked about on the show Brain Games. They did experiments where they'd distract people or give them a task to perform and then see if they noticed something weird in the background during it, like someone in a gorilla suit walking by, or that the other person changed their shirt, for example. It'd be funny if someone did a music video where they actually did something like that.

Dimes to doughnuts that is daughter Callie starting the parade! Seems like only yesterday a VERY pregnant Shawn was accepting her Grammy for "Sunny Came Home" when she was interrupted by some rapper-type (ZHEESH! WHATEV!!)....STILL laugh out loud when she half-sings, half-says, "I got a Big Book/and antidepressants"! I know about that all TOO well!

Love watching this video (of Shawn) and hearing her sing this great song.
However, really don't like seeing all the people walking around doing their act. Find it totally distracting and takes away from Shawn playing guitar and singing (for me.)
Maybe belongs on a circus related video but not one with Shawn Colvin singing. And yes, Shawn would had to approve it for it to be done - but I still don't care for it.
