Big thanks for sharing, I bought one and I adore how bright it is for something this small, I love it and may do as you did and get another, and the mount that comes with it is a little tank, so well built. Keep up the great work !!
This thing is blowing my mind, I have played around with these LED light strips before in DIY projects, but this looks tidied up into a final product in a really nice way. So cool!
I love how you started with videos for budget filmmakers and are still living up to that. A nice light for under $50, now where does one find that nowadays? Thanks for creating Nigel :)
I was looking for a small, portable, budget, vlog light. And I think I just found mine! Thank you for your honest review 😊 My next video will probably be lit with one of these babies 😄
Hey Nigel, thanks for sharing. I want to start a behind the scenes video series within my channel and was looking for a small portable light. First I found the Manfrotto, but this one just seems so much better. Thanks so much for sharing. You have my thumbs up and subscription ;).
Hey Nigel, I just discovered your channel this week and I'm already a big fan. I was wondering if there is any natural light in the room you used for this video, or if the LEDs are the only light source.
Hey Nigel! Very interesting - thank you for sharing! I'm looking for lights to light up a scene with me teaching dance in my lounge 😊 The lights will be a bit further away due to the shot having all of me in it - do you think these would do the job? Also, we have the surname!! 😃
Hey man great video, i have just started my own channel with similar content and this video just save me a ton of money!! Since we travel a lot these lights will do the job!! Thank's for creating and never stop!!! Be lekka and be creative!!!
Are there 2 different versions of the RX-8T? Some sellers say it's 16W and others say 18W. At first I thought there was a difference because it seemed like sellers were charging more for the 18W one, but after more searching I can't see if there's a pattern with the pricing scheme. And it's also weird there'd be 2 versions with the same model name. And their website only lists it at 18W.
Hi Nigel, would you have any suggestion for a very short stand to support this light ? Would like to use is as back light and put it on the top of my bookcase (not sure if it can stand by itself without a support ?). Thanks a lot
Wow!!! Really want to get one. I'm using Sony A7rIV. So I have bunch of NP-FZ100 batteries, they are bigger than previous NP-FW50 type. Are they gonna fit with this LED? Your answer will be really appreciated :)
Hey, hope to get your help I'm looking for a mobile solution and I'm looking at two of these or one falcon eyes 28td, it's for on the go mobile interview and always concerned about size as people get quite intimidated when seeing big lights. What would you recommend, in starting out and cant break the bank need to get a shotgun mic and blimp, those I've chosen already
Which Neewer 216? YN-216 or CN-216? Both the Neewer and Aperture lights are kinda different than the Falconeyes, at least in design, but they all have the same CRI rating I believe and similar power options. I like the Falconeyes because of the flexibility (literally) and how thin and light they are
NigelBarros sorry the cn 216. And yea I really like the flexibility you were taking about. I’m just new to film making so I’m trying to get ready and buy a lighting kit for myself. And I had never heard about these until today but they seem super cool I’m just making sure I’m not buying an inferior product because it’s flexible. But I like what I saw in your video. I think I’m gonna go with them just wanted to make sure they were good and hooked up to a light stand no problem.

Keep up the great work !!
Dude you really makes lighting so easy while others teach you to use all those expensive gears and talk whole bunch of terms.

Great video....it's awesome when you can show the before/after, it explains for itself why something is done a certain way...
Dude, flexible lights for $50? I need to pick these up...you got such an awesome channel, man! Love it
Just got mine.. Well thought out and designed, much better than what I've been using the past 10 years
Love this kinda stuff. It doesn't take big money to get big quality. I might consider getting one of these for my channel!

Maybe you could use a white sheet of paper and clothes clips if you don't have an umbrella, I think hahah also great viid! 👌👌
I’d love to see diagrams of the lighting setups you describe here with the subject, camera, and where the lights are in relation to everything else.
Hey man great video, i have just started my own channel with similar content and this video just save me a ton of money!! Since we travel a lot these lights will do the job!! Thank's for creating and never stop!!! Be lekka and be creative!!!

How are these compared to a aputure h198 or even just a neewer 216? Also do these just fit on any standard light stand?

What about that 45 dollar apature one
Are you talking about the M9? That’s great but a lot smaller and uses internal batteries which I don’t prefer.
I’m starting to get kinda fucking addict to his voice
come back
"Best compact video light, that used to cost under $50 before I made this video"
Erm...cheers?
