I swear this is My favorite Orpheus, and I say this wholeheartedly since I have been following hadestown since the beginning of the pandemic! I was so lucky to see it at the west end and been aware of the og broadway Orpheus and the touring ones, this is definitely my fav, he captures the Orpheus of the tale with so much sincerity and tenderness AND wit. Love that this was the Orpheus that I got to see live!
The whole cast is amazing, but having seen this last week, Mrs Melanie La Barrie completely stole the show for me ... Again, the whole cast is amazing, but Hermes.... The theatrics and the accent are amazing... I wish I could see it again and again.

This is the closest we have to a British cast recording and honestly, I'll take it. I saw this show a couple of days ago and it was transcendent.

Irish Orpheus just hits different
The natural placement of his accent really brings out the folky vibes of Orpheus’s songs. Specifically on “echoing my song”.
