What I love about musical theater is the way they prioritize the communication of the emotion over the exact musical accuracy, and it always works so well. Of course they are absurdly talented singers, but really being able to belt out a note that feels right even if its a little sharp or flat is really really really impressive, and it always makes the performance feel so much more alive than say a studio recording

Because both of those cards are all about choices/consequences thereof, etc.....and Christine is probably dealing with ALL the feels (including ones where she's still probably attracted to Erik on some level bc he's a musician and he gets her -- "but...but...what will society think? He makes me wanna do sooo much with him beyond singing, because that voice! 🔥🔥🔥" )

Hunchback is absolutely amazing. It's easily the best Disney movie musical stage adaptation and doesn't get nearly enough credit or publicity. I didn't really know what to think when we got tickets and left blown away. I will go see it again in a heartbeat if it comes back.

Wow - what a great compilation! I teared up at 'He Lives In You' because I once put on a production of The Lion King with an old class of mine and those memories are very dear to me, particularly as I no longer teach. Also, the first clip is something special. I've watched it about 20 times in this sitting alone!
